Ive good experience in both PHP and MERN Stack and Ive build many projects this year alone mostly in PHP. if you're a Nigerian listen to my advice.... as a web developer, you will be getting independent contacts to build software application for clients. if you get such contracts then use PHP (Laravel). Because its more straightforward and you will only need to write the backend as you will get HTML templates that will save your time building the UI. so its much faster. If you are considering job... then definitely go for MERN stack its the stack with the most opportunities. JS is dominating the world of big companies at this time we are living. but for your small independent projects you can use laravel. PHP is far much more easier to learn. because you only need to learn the basic PHP and laravel framework and HTML templates are ready for you to buy/download. but learning curve of MERN stack is steeper, you have to learn React, Learn NOdejs and Express, Learn MongoDb, Learn Redux, maybe learn Typescript. if your goal is job.. go straight to Nodejs. its steeper but you'll surely get a job soon. if you also wanna build independent projects for clients in Nigeria then go for PHP first and MERN stack later.

Please can you recommend for me a good YouTube channel to learn php and laraval, to be able to build projects with it. There are lots of php tutorial on YouTube but mostly all is about tutorial learning the basics, I want tutorial that is deep, where projects are been built from scratch.

O.p honestly, what I'll suggest is try submitting your c.v to schools around you, we never can tell. You need money first at least to sort some issues before talking of making money online, nothing is free online, no free money online.

Guys are not just smiling, money supercede every of their taught and thinking, if they can use their mother or any of their family members, then who are the strangers they can't use.
The urge to get this money is just too hot. Let me be real with you; it might be quite dauting. From experience, my candid advice would be for you to evolve. As designs have greatly moved from just graphics to human centric designs that comes with contemporary design thinking process and tools.

A freelance graphic designer who'sworking smart would always be abreast of diversifying.

Also, except you're making it big on Fiverr, snub those platforms. Hustle offline via network marketing while building your online brand.

Not really. But I started with it. Graphics design really shaped my designing path. Today, I am a digital experience designer. Anything product and consumers. What people call UI/UX or product designer. But I don't tag myself that. Because I am some levels ahead of them. Haha .

IT skills my gee. I spent sleepless days learning programming, designing and how to sale (digital marketing). I learnt them concurrently. Designs started paying my bills, then digital marketing before programming crowned it all.

Also, I started high level networking. Meeting individuals who are in a specific strata of the society. Strategically, pitching myself. Doing a lot of stuffs to scale my worth.

Lastly, a man with one source of income won't last. I also learnt skills that fetch money even when I am sleeping or grooving. Not ponzi schemes or. Stuffs live Fiverr, Amazon KDP, crypto/NFT's et al.
