A retired lieutenant colonel, who was said to have led the Boko Haram attacks on Damaturu, Yobe State, on Thursday was arrested by security forces during the encounter.
The retired army officer is being detained at a military facility.
It could not be ascertained as of the time of filing this report if he has been moved to Abuja for interrogation or not.
The Director of Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen. Ibrahim, had put the casualty figure on the part of the insurgents at 70 in a statement that was silent on the number of soldiers killed in the attack.
It was however, learnt that nine soldiers including a lieutenant and four policemen lost their lives in the attack.

A young Chinese couple are facing ‘criminal punishment’ for allegedly selling their daughter so they could buy an iPhone, according to state media.
Although the reports did not give an exact amount, the couple are said to have accepted between 30,000 yuan and 50,000 yuan (£3,000 to £5,000) and then spent part of it on a new iPhone.

The Lenovo A10 is a two-in-one Android tablet and laptop.

We've seen plenty of laptop-tablet hybrids, but none of them running Android. But that's exactly what Lenovo unveiled Friday, and it's called the A10.
The device runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean that Lenovo heavily modified to provide both a desktop and tablet experience. On the tablet side, there's an app launcher, where you can find all of your touchscreen apps. If you want to use the A10 as a laptop, you'd use the desktop mode, which has a Windows-esque taskbar where you can run and manage apps.
There's also a file manager in desktop mode where you can access files, similar to what you can do in Windows or OS X. The A10 includes a full AccuType keyboard and touch pad.
