President Jonathan’s handpicked governorship candidate, Mr. Seriake Dickson, has won the controversial People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary in Bayelsa state. According to the vote tallies made available to Saharareporters, Dickson easily defeated other contestants winning handily with the following votes declared according to local government areas: Brass 31, Ekedemo 47, Yenagoa 47, Southern Ijaw 61, Ogbia 44, Sagbama 51, Kolango 41, Kolokuma/Opokum 43, Nembe 41.

Three of Governor Timipre Sylva’s loyalists staged a walk-out in disagreement with the conduct of the primaries before vote counting began on Saturday.

Mr. Dickson is the preferred candidate of President Jonathan. The primaries proceeded despite an injunction by Justice Kolawale of the Federal High Court in Abuja barring the conduct of that primary.

The PDP National Publicity Secretary Professor Rufai Ahmed Alkali stated that no court could stop the party primary going by Section 87 (10) of the Electoral Act 2010, as amended.

Earlier in the process the PDP barred the sitting governor of Baylsea sate, Mr. Timipre Sylva, from contesting in the primaries.

I have the opportunity to have been in Yr 1 in Chemistry and changed to Chemical Engineering later.

First, both courses are not the same in the course of study, while Ind Chem dwells on the science of chemicals (by this I mean the theories, calculation of moles,etc) and the industrial applications and tests; Chem Engr deals more with Processes and Systems used in manufacturing and processing.
If you are not interested in application of mathematics to engineering then leave out Chem Engr

In Nigeria, there is hardly much to do in terms of design of Chemical Engineering processes, most have already done and we only follow it, so it is difficult to do a personal business. Because of this, there are many Chem Engrs doing other things although the vacancies favour Chem Engr. This is because Chem Engrs can do well as petroleum engrs, drilling engrs, contract engrs, facilities engrs, etc

If you want to look for an engr job, then Chem Engr is your best bet but if you want to do your own chemical business, then Ind Chem is it.

Ind Chem is not only about mixing chemicals, you can be involve in the supply of such.

You can be satisfied in life if you do what you will be comfortable with (Not like been a successful Ind Chem and wishing later you were an Engr)

I want to also add that 6 years is quite a long time in one's life history ( my boy is 6 yrs and in Pry 1).
During this time, you will have come to a level of understanding one another (L+6).
And in marriage, this basic understanding matters a lot.
If you call it quits, you will have to wait for L+6+6 years to get that same understanding in another lady.
Then you will not be as young as your initial claim that made you younger than her - Just for your consideration.

Many of the things that keep marriage alive are the golden years of courtship - these you have now!
Do you honestly unconditionally love the lady enough to live with her as wife for the next ten years (that will be a total of 16 years together)?

My counsel is this:

First I am happily married to a woman about the same age difference you are talking about for seven years now.
Although she did not lie to me at first, I was almost discouraged when she told me. I think the most important thing is the will of God for you and if your love for her can endure the test of time.

Thank God she has told you already, your love should not be based on the externalities because these may be deceptive than for younger women, but on her inner character. I think the issue of the lie is a small matter because from what you are saying, that would have put you off a long time ago.

You have to accept the fact and keep it b/w yourselves (not a matter for family discussion). If she is Godfearing you will find her to be the best woman for you. Like I use to tell my wife, I will marry her all over again if we were to begin again. And most importantly be prayerful about this marriage decision.
