Notch first appeared on an Android phone viz Essential so its normal for Google to support it natively which doesn't mean Pixel will have a notch-y design. Gestures was first present on webOS then BB10. It has been available in some launchers for the years so it's not Apple's feature.

Since you know Samsung and LG has screen shot annotation, why didn't you write it that Google borrowed it from these OEMs? Why choose Apple?
