SportsDiamond League London: Kanyinsola Ajayi Equals National Record Again (Video) by oloriooko(op):
NCAA champion Kayinsola Ajayi scores statement win at London Diamond League 2026, beating Oblique Seville in men’s 100m

The Nigerian 21-year-old won in 9.84 to equal a season’s best effort, fending off the reigning world champion Seville.

Nigeria’s Kayinsola Ajayi raced to victory today, Saturday (18 July 2026) at the London Diamond League 2026 in the men’s 100 metres, clocking 9.84 seconds, fending off reigning world champion Oblique Seville in the process.

The Jamaican Seville came second in 9.87 at the London National Stadium, with Romell Grave of Team GB rounding out the top three in 9.97.

Ajayi, just 21, equalled his season’s best. He’s the two-time and reigning collegiate champion in the NCAA.

“I just came out here and did what I had to do… I’m happy; I got the job done,” Ajayi told Olympics.com.

“I got out of the blocks like ‘Boom!’ I knew that if I did my start [well]… then everything was over.”

Ajayi confirmed he will race at the Commonwealth Games, which get underway in Glasgow on 23 July.

Nigeria's Kayinsola Ajayi wins in 9.84 seconds!

He equals his own national record and turns and celebrates in the face of world champion Oblique Seville in the lane next to him.

Seville was second in 9.87 and it's a good run from Great Britain's Romell Glave to take third.

A personal best of 9.97 for Glave, who also anchored the relay team to victory earlier.

Unpopular opinion:

Senegal proved a bigger threat against France than Morocco

Maybe it's because it was the first game oo but in my opinion, the Senegalese played better against France than Morocco did
Morocco was playing for pens and the absence of their topman affected their transition but I said b4 the start of the WC that the injustice done to the coach that qualified them and won Afcon will hunt them just like Ghana's

SportsRe: When Will Egypt Blame Themselves For Their 3-2 Loss To Argentina? by oloriooko(m): 4:47pm On Jul 09
OP your analysis is spot on!
I said this severally, if FIFA had not come up with the no-rolling-on-the-pitch-faking-injury and 0ne-minute-on-the-sideline-when-injured rules, Egypt would have frustrated the Argentines to their 4th generation grin. That match would have been easily won by the pharaohs

For the first time I saw no injured Egyptian except the ones that ran out of gas.
Africa has a lot to learn in match management, Nigeria being a big culprit. The first and second goals scored by Argentina were 18 sec apart shocked
We urgently need to learn game management and efficient game plan

The grave error Messi is making in this game is thinking he can do those things he used to do 10 years ago
He has not come to terms with age
The plane to take Argentina home is being warmed as we speak grin
