bjdon: Based on the highlighted part of your statement above, would your agree that Mr President, by his refusal to devalue the Niara, does not understand basic economics? it has been settled, the naira will never be devalued officially. Devaluation will not increase our forex income rather it will bring untold hardship on the populace. so find a means of curing your devaluation fixation! |

Its pretty obvious to all that he succeeded!! my friend the black market #320 to $1 can be likened to a man taking a goat to the market to sell, the man should be at the front holding the rope and pulling the goat and not the goat in front taking the man to the market, be master of your destiny, don't let destiny master you! grandstar: If you say a girl is rude and you want her to change, it means you want her to be polite.
If you say a boy is dirty and you want him to change, you mean he wants him to be neat.
She see used the terms opaque and arvchaic, it simply means that she sipports the liberalisation and deregulation of the economy which will also include a devaluation of the naira which will definitely happen if the currency was allowed to float.
You can't have diminishing forex income and your currency remains static.
The Canadian dollar was at par with the US dollar during the oil boom that ended in 2014
Now the US$ can buy 1.35 Canadian dollars due to a crash in oil prices.
Buhari is simply avoiding the impossible.
It is much easier to stop a bullet train with one hand than to stop a depreciating currency by fiat! It will not work! I love buhari for daring to do what the so called "expat" term impossible. With God on Nigeria side nothing will be impossible! |

pedestal82: I beg to disagree he lost FAIR and SQUARE, not with the campaign of culumny APC where engaged in not to talk of the LIES. Secondly, that choice fundamentaly affects whats going on with the economy. And thats what ezekweseli has finaly seen and agrees with. All i ask is they agree they made a wrong choice simple. me think its those who voted GEJ in 2011 that should apologize for making a wrong choice and electing a government that wasted years of bountiful oil income through looting by his cronies and giving fake data of economic buoyancy but in reality they were borrowing to pay salaries according to iweala. |

loveuGOD: I told someone during apc primary that voting buhari as president base on his records of over 30years ago is weird. Its like asking basorun gaa of d old oyo empire to come back and rule as a king in this dispensation.
In d past oyo king rule like small GOD. They married women without their consent. They behead people as a sacrifice to idols. pratice slavery and kill them at will, to mention few. Now asking d old kings to come back and rule in this era can never fit to the system and everything he does will look weird.
We are reaping d fruit of not reason enough just because of emotion and sentiment and buhari integrity.
Integrity is not all we need. Its involve intelligent and good economy team to do it. The body language base on ekwesieli and some speakers on d program shows d cbn doesnt have policy autonomy. Buhari dictate for them.
I wonder if Dr ekwesieli knows all the past economy history of buhari in 1980s and still go ahead to campaign for him in 2015. So what kind of miracle is she expecting.
Even if jona and pdp was not an alternative then, are we saying we dont have intelligent people to run for presidency in this country apart from mr integirity?
Anyway we have learnt a big lesson but d earlier d better we prepare well for d future elections. I beleive nigeria can be great with the loads of inteligent people around. Lets stop recycling and let fresh blood try it. Enough of d old cargos. GOD bless nigeria. With the ongoing probe of the last administration "good, intelligent and sound economic team" GEJ assembled, the economy still crashed! |

it seem people don't know this woman want devaluation and free enterprise while we still lack competence to play at the world stage! have people forgoten she is part of foreign stooges amongst us? why do you think buhari did not fix her in his cabinet or employ her as an adviser on something? Buhari should ignored her likes, no pain no gain. Things are difficult for me presently but with buhari steps so far on import restrictions and forex policy I have hope of better days ahead! |
