Career › Re: 500 Roles Vacant, Moniepoint CEO Laments Shortage Of Talents In Nigeria by Olowokere(m): 10:25pm On May 06 |
[quote author=semid4lyfe post=139318933]The Moniepoint CEO misyarned.
The 500 unfilled job vacancies in his company is not a referendum on the character, skillset, talent or employability of Nigerian youths. Neither is it due to yahoo culture, social media distraction, laziness or quest for fast money.
Banks, Oil majors, Auditing companies, Tax corporations, FMCGs Industry, Elite Government agencies etc recruit meritoriously and fill their vacancies from these same pool of Nigerian youths.
So why is Moniepoint unable to do so? Answer - Poor remuneration.
Thankfully, he recognizes he is competing globally, so he should pay global salaries if he wants the best. Simple.
Anyways, I no blame am. I blame the CBN for its failure to properly regulate Nigerian banks to ensure functional ATM machines which is the gap filled by moniepoint .
The CEOs statement is also insensitive being that the vast majority of their agents/customers sit under umbrellas by the road side or in makeshift kiosks processing transactions Are those ones lazy too?
The moniepoint CEO is nothing but a dolt. [/quote
You really talk my mind.. thanks |

Crime › Re: April Fool Prank In My Compound Almost Led To Bloodshed… Now Police Case! by Olowokere(m): 8:04pm On Apr 01 |
tobeezman: Something happened in my compound today that still feels unreal.
Around 11am this morning just like about 3 hours , I was in my room when I started hearing serious shouting outside. Not normal noise, the kind that makes you pause and listen.
It was my neighbour.
Apparently, earlier in the day, his wife had called him sounding very distressed. She told him that some guys had beaten her up badly and broke her leg, and to make it worse, she mentioned the name of a guy he already had issues with.
That was all the man needed.
He rushed home immediately, full of anger. Instead of even entering his house first to confirm what happened, he went straight to confront the guy. I even heard he arranged some boys. At that point, the whole situation was about to explode.
Just when things were about to get out of hand…
His wife called him aside.
He entered the house, and that was when she told him the truth:
“It was just April Fool prank.”
Everything changed instantly.
He then asked his wife to come down and apologize to the wife, which she did. But instead of calming things down, the man made it worse by telling the guy:
“You’re lucky it was a prank… I for don knack you something.”
That statement didn’t sit well at all.
Everybody thought the matter would just end there.
But later on…
The same guy came back to the compound, this time with police officers.
Yes, police.
They went straight to pick up both the husband and the wife. The guy is insisting they must sign an undertaking stating that if anything happens to him, they will be held responsible.
Now the whole compound is tense.
What started as a simple April Fool joke within a few hours turned into:
• Near physical attack • Threats • Police involvement
All in one day.
Honestly, not everything should be used for prank. Some jokes can easily destroy relationships or even land people in serious trouble.
This is Lagos reality
Have you ever seen a prank go this wrong before? Not everyone should be prank ooo |

Family › Re: My Pregnant Ex Girlfriend Has Refused My Help by Olowokere(m): 2:51pm On Oct 12, 2022 |
Tob456: Hey guys, my ex girlfriend is 7 months pregnant. She doesn't want to have anything to do with me cos I didn't want to carry the responsibility of her four sisters.
She is 24 orphen and the oldest of seven children. She is a fruit seller and the pregnancy wasn't plan she took in 6 months into the relationship but I have accepted the responsibility and I wanted to make her my wife.
First of all I wanted us to discussed about her sisters living arrangements after the wedding and she said she wanted to bring all four who are under 18 to live with us after the wedding and I rejected.
I suggested that the youngest two can live with us while the other two can stay with the aunty but she refused.
She said the relationship was over and she doesn't need me in her life that she will take care of the baby alone.
I've told her even if she doesn't want me in her life anymore she should not stop me from helping her financially because I want our baby to be born in good condition but she refused.
Last week I sent 30k to her account for baby stuffs and she sent the money back to me saying she doesn't need a kobo from me she will take care of the baby alone.
I want to leave her alone but it is hard for me to do so cos she is carrying my child. It will not be easy for me to give up easily I just want to be a part of my daughter life. What do you guys think please? in this type of situation ooo my guy it's better u wise up bcuz there is a possibility that another rich guy is wooing her and want to take that child away from you.... na poor man wife dem dey collect not child |
