sarrki:Nice one! |

I don't expect you to understand, it is not your fault, you have been wired to act the way you do! Zombie!!! |
sarrki:Why are you filled with hate? Did you not get enough care and love as a child? You can defend Akpabio that he is innocent until proven guilty, yet call Saraki criminal! So much hypocrisy oozing from your angle Sir. Oloye2019 is a sure movement, no one can stop him. |
slimfit1:He is entitled to support whomever he likes, that's his fundamental right! |
Aufbauh:Why so much hate? Is Saraki not a Nigerian? Does he not have the right to contest elections in Nigeria? Does Dele not have the right to support a candidate of his choosing? If Buhari is as popular as he claims, why are you guys worried? |
sarrki:Can everybody become president at a time? Why aren't you campaigning for yourself, instead you're campaigning for Buhari? My time will come soon. For now, let's support one who is ready! |
The Ovation publisher made an art work with His Excellency, Senator Bukola Saraki's name. The movement is beginning to gather momentum! People are beginning to recognize the fact that Saraki is the unifying factor: a Notherner by political definition but Westerner by culture. A youth by age and experienced by qualification and pedigree. An epitome of resilience & resistance force against the old men and their ways; and a representative of compassion and youthfulness. Today, many will bear witness to the many achievements of His Excellency, Senator Dr. Bukola Saraki's landmarks and achievements while he shepherd the good people of Kwara from the year 2003 - 2011. These achievements are visible to everyone who has been to Kwara. While some others may want to turn a blind eye, others just wouldn't credit the Oloye-Pupò (Genius) for these visible accomplishments. We at The Oloye Presidential Movement will do well to enumerate His Excellency's achievements in all offices he has ever occupied. Power generation and electricity Under Saraki, Kwara became the first state to complete the Nigeria Independent Power Project. In collaboration with the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, Saraki re-energised the Ganmo Power Station at Ilorin, and connected over 3750 rural communities to the national grid through the development and installation of 725 transformers and 7 substations. Kwara also completed 4 electrification projects which meant power became stable 18–22 hours a day. 90% of people living in Kwara have access to electricity, compared to a national average in Nigeria of 30%. Primary health care While in office, Saraki introduced new health programmes, including a statewide campaign in 2008 to reduce maternal and child mortality from malaria. This included distribution of insecticide-treated nets and free malaria drugs to pregnant mothers and to children under the age of five. A statewide programme of hospital development was also implemented, leading to the redevelopment of hospitals in Afon, Patigi and Lafiagi. Other measures included improved training and re-training for medical staff; refurbishment of hospitals and staff living quarters; and employment of qualified medical doctors and other health workers. Many of the primary care programmes were sponsored by international agencies such as WHO and UNICEF. Agriculture and farming Saraki introduced agricultural policy reforms to increase the commercial viability of farming, and also the volume of exports to international markets. The New Nigerian Farmers Initiative was designed to improve the technical capability of farmers and to ensure farmers had a significant financial stake in new investment in agriculture. The scheme utilised the under-used agricultural expertise in the Zimbabwean farming industry, and worked with Zimbabwe's Commercial Farmers' Union to identify highly skilled farmers able to support Nigeria’s farming industry and to move to Kwara and develop the farming industry. A commercial hub was also developed to build capacity support training for the indigenous farming community. Infrastructure development Saraki led significant and statewide infrastructure development, including improvements at the Ilorin International Airport Cargo Terminal, extensive road construction, and development of new sporting facilities such as Kwara Football Academy. The State has an ongoing goal of a logistics and cargo hub in Nigeria and the region. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bukola_Saraki In order not to bore you with lengthy write up. BlackSpanner:Funny! ![]() He can trek from Ilorin to Abuja, if that is the latest litmus test for Nigerian presidency! ![]() |
Addme:Yes sir. Everything has a " bottom or beginning ". He like a thousand others were appointed as SAs to Obasanjo in 2000, he is the Senate president today. Name others who were mere SAs who have ascended this high! From SA to Governor, to Senator and Senate president, now about to be Nigeria's president. |
Ugik:In all your explanations, you failed to mention why the presidency has postponed it. Yet you say you want a youth to rule! Why are you contradicting yourself? Saraki did nothing about the bill, fine! The senators boosted their profiles by identifying with the bill that obviously sponsored itself, again, very correct! You mentioned that the bill is very popular and was passed to pacify the already angry youths! Again, very correct! So, who is holding the bill from becoming law? Saraki or Buhari? If Saraki presided over the passage of the bill, passed it and sent same to the Executive and Buhari's only job is carry pen and sign, yet he refused. And you mentioned that the bill was to pacify the youths and someone somewhere is sitting on it. Don't you think your anger as a youth is misplaced? To teach you a little thing about the Gavel that Saraki uses; when the Senate president calls for vote by saying "those in support say Hi(Ai) and those against say nay", even if the entire Senators shout " Ai" and he hits the gavel and says "the nah have it, refer the bill to the drafting committee for adjustment", that's all. You say He didn't do jack! Wake up my brother, the Senate president is not just called the third citizen for fun! |
betterford:You are a patriot! God bless you. |
Haywhymido:Meaning you don't want the development Kwara currently enjoys! |

lydayam:If you're expecting a 30year old to become President, then the president of Nigeria should accent on the "Not Too Young To Run" bill and allow it take effect from 2019. The constitution places an embargo of ages of those to contest Nigerian presidency. That age restriction has been there for years. But the Senate president in his foresight to bring youths into governance passed a bill that removed such age limitations and sent the bill to the president but the president has postponed it till 2023. How is that Saraki's fault? Saraki is 55 years old and the most qualified and young man if he joins the race. Look beyond hate and see what he has done at the national Assembly, standing against intimidation, putting his political career in the line for the country. |
Ugik:And you think we at The Oloye Presidential Movement are not electorates? You mentioned Fela Durotoye - South-West Kingsley Moughalu - South-East(not so sure) and those two are from he South. It seems you're not abreast with the political arrangement in Nigeria. You think the North will serve for one term after the incident with Yar'dua that brought in Jonathan? Dankwambo is good. Saraki is better and more qualified. Dankwambo is 56years old, Saraki is 55years(closer to the youths) Dankwambo is just serving his two term as governor, Saraki finished his two term 7years ago, serving his two term as a senator now and the third citizen in Nigeria. It seems you do not know what it means to be a Senate president in a country of almost 200million people. Presiding over the biggest assembly in the world and the most ethnically diverse culture in the world. You just do not like Saraki, else how would you place him in the same category with the likes of Fela Durotoye and co? |
Ugik:The question I should have asked before now, Who do you propose? Someone must be president after all! |
Perotti:Myn44, Lalasticlala, Seun rule 2 please. |
Ugik:Kindly read the bolded carefully and answer the following questions: • would you rather prefer the current administration and president? • Does the current government "walk the talk?" • Does the current government inspire hope? • Does the current government's constant trips abroad represent our interests abroad? • Does the current government "commands international respect?" Your honest answers to the above questions, placing Saraki and Buhari side-by-side will tell if you are a patriot or not. We are talking of a movement from the old ways to the new. From the dark past into a better future and you are talking something else. Emmanuel Macron became French President at 39 years old with no prior experiences and proper exposure like Saraki has. Adama Barrow of The Gambia spent all his life in the US and only moved down few months to his campaign. Today, he is the president there. Zimbabwe now has a 40year old president. Liberia has George Weah, people who do not have the political acumen Saraki has, yet you say he is inexperienced? Oh, and Saraki at 55 is older than all those president I mentioned. It is true, we grew up to see Nigerian presidency as an office for the "old". Now is time to change that view for our children and their children. P.S: kindly take your time to type completely, your words. I find it really difficult to read short words. |
krendo:Only the gods could have inspired this comment! God bless you and all well meaning and patriotic youths in Nigeria. |
jayluv4real:The joke is on you who can't see beyond the hatred for a well qualified and ready presidential aspirant! |
Ugik:Yes. A presidential race is a "different kettle of fish". No one said he has declared to contest. We and other well meaning Nigerians are urging him to. |
orisa37:Only the gods could have inspired this comment! God bless you and all well meaning and patriotic youths in Nigeria. |
Afamed:Like I stated in the article, who doesn't have a past? He has put that behind him for about eighteen years ago. If you have a case against the bank or His Excellency, Sen. Bukola Saraki, kindly follow the appropriate channel and institute a legal process. As for now, you are only throwing jibs and you should have known by now that it takes more than mere accusations to slow the man. Have a nice day Sir. |
Afamed:All in due time Sir. All in due time! This is just the first of many things to know about His Excellency. |
cornoil:Only the gods could have inspired this comment! God bless you and all well meaning and patriotic youths in Nigeria. |
Ekez:Only the gods could have inspired this comment! God bless you and all well meaning and patriotic youths in Nigeria. |
