@Chrisilo: The applicants are short-listed on the basis of the national SSCE and/or JAMB examination results, followed by an aptitude test at the Port Harcourt, Warri, Enugu, Lagos and Abuja centres.
SPDC pays N75,000 per academic session (Not sure if that amount has been increased).

@Chrisilo: The aptitude test format is usually a fusion of Verbal and quantitative reasoning (revise a few arithmetics and algebra). You should also practise solving Analytical word problems.
You're likely to encounter some Antonyms and Synonyms (so you have to be familiar with a wider vocabulary).
One of the major secrets of passing these tests is having a clear, alert mind before and during the test. To achieve this, you don't have to read too much a day or so before the test and you need a lot of rest too.
Another thing is this; if any question is proving stubborn, leave it and go to another question (as you can later come back to it if you have spare time at the end).
SPEED & ACCURACY IS CRUCIAL.
@MuhMubRaj: Shortlisting time depends on the number of applications they received. So, its not certain.
