One thing about Nigeria football lovers is that, we don't promote and cherish our own league .Forgetting that those Big Countries with developed Sports started like ours but with the support of their people. You will hardly see Nigeria football lover wearing one of the NPFL clubs' Jersey and many other things, compare to others international league like EPL, La-liga etc. Let's embrace our League.

Christianity EtcWould God Create A World Full Of Other Competing Gods? by olucephas(op): 11:38am On Aug 04, 2016
Full Of Other Competing Gods?
What’s a seeker of Truth supposed to do with two competing facts that leave as much room for compromise , Sam Harris says, “as a coin toss?”
The New Testament says Jesus is the actual, real son of God, and anyone who doesn’t believe that will spend eternity in Hell . The Koran says Jesus is not the son of God , and anyone who believes he is will spend eternity in Hell .And many other things like that. (A Buddhist would consider the whole discussion odd.)
This, all by itself, is a good reason to wonder how plausible it is that there’s a God with a capital “G” in the first place.
Which makes more sense to you?
Option A : Different groups of
people with a common need to explain life’s big questions came up with different religions in response. Simple.
Option B: One religion is perfect and right and all the others are
wrong. This is what most people believe. They decide to believe one faith or another based on where they’re from, by “ geographical accident.” What the? Harris notes this requires “a very sort of strange loving God who would have created this circumstance.” Why?
Everyone born somewhere else is going to burn forever in Hell.
Lastly would a loving God destroy His creatures in Hell Fire(if there is one)?

PoliticsUntold Story Of The Senators Dino Melaye--remi Tinubu Closed-door Clash by olucephas(op): 4:29pm On Jul 13, 2016
PREMIUM TIMES has obtained further details of the altercation between Senators Dino Melaye (APC-Kogi) and Remi Tinubu (APC-Lagos) which saw both lawmakers calling each other names and charging at each other.
. Those who witnessed the incident, which occurred during a closed-door meeting held by senators on Tuesday, said trouble started when Mr. Melaye urged the Senate to descend heavily on members who had offered to serve as prosecution witnesses in the ongoing forgery case against Senate President Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu.
. The Kogi senator is said to have accused the senators of being used by the presidency to destabilise the Senate and warned them to be ready to face the consequences of their action.
“You should go and tell those who sent you that nobody, I said nobody, no matter who he is, can ever control this Senate, ” Mr. Melaye was quoted as saying as he pointed at the affected senators, his face contorted in rage.
. Our sources said when Mrs. Tinubu was recognised to speak, she rose, and said, “I’m just wondering why whenever Senator Dino speaks in this chamber, he is always threatening people and behaving childishly and at times like a thug.
“I think he needs to know that every senator here represents their constituencies. And that there is no need to threaten anyone.
“We are seeking and working towards reconciliation, yet you are busy issuing threats.”
. One of our sources said at this point, Mr. Melaye jumped up from his seat and charged towards Mrs. Tinubu, saying, “Look this is not Bourdillon (referring to the famous Lagos residence of Mrs Tinubu’s politician husband). I will beat you up, ….. impregnate you and nothing will happen.”
Witnesses said as Mr. Melaye charged towards the Lagos senator, other senators, especially those from the South-West geopolitical zone, waded in and shielded Mrs. Tinubu from attack, and then calmed her down.
. A few other senators also prevailed on Mr. Melaye to take it easy and let peace reign, sources said.
“We had to move in to save the situation because he had already overwhelmed her with his voice,” one of the senators, who calmed Mrs. Tinubu down, said.
“Many dirty thing do happen during closed-door sessions, but people don’t get to hear about it,” another senator said. “But now that the senate is divided, proceedings at executive sessions are being leaked to the press.
“Yesterday was one of such dirty sessions, there was ramblings, uproar and profanities. It was so sad.”
Also during the meeting, Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe (PDP-Abia) called on the Senate to go for President Muhammadu Buhari’s “jugular”.
. When colleagues asked him what he meant, the senator said it had become clear that Mr. Buhari had no respect for the Senate and that the time had come for him to be impeached.
Mr. Abaribe said the president was encouraging his subordinates to disrespect the upper chamber and that only two options were now open to the senate – go for the president’s jugular (impeachment) or continue to seek reconciliation that might not work.
Mr. Melaye on Wednesday morning said reports that he was planning to initiate impeachment proceeding against President Buhari were untrue. But he was silent on reports that he threatened Senator Tinubu or used the “F” word on her.
. The Kogi senator could not be reached to comment for this story. Calls to his known telephone number failed to connect.
Mrs. Tinubu too did not answer or return multiple calls made to her by PREMIUM TIMES on Wednesday morning.

Open Letter To Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu
By General Adeyinka Adebayo
Iyin-Ekiti
My dear Asiwaju,
I am compelled to write this open letter to you because of the state of affairs of the Yoruba nation. Firstly, I wish to acknowledge that fate has put you in a prime position to determine to a large extent the direction that the Yoruba people will go. The indisputable truth is that one may quarrel with your politics but your sagacity is never in doubt. Even those who don't see eye to eye with you agree that you are imbued with unusual native intelligence, uncommon people skills and unrivaled foresight. You, more than any other person, has been the game changer since the advent of democracy in 1999. It is for these reasons that I have chosen to direct this letter to you.
My singular purpose is to tug at the strings of your heart. I am not writing to appeal to partisan considerations but to see, if per chance, I can pour out my heart to you in a manner of speaking. God has blessed you even beyond your wildest imagination. You have installed Senators and Governors. You have removed Governors and even a President. You have also installed a President. There is nothing you have wished for or desired that you didn't get. Fortune has smiled on you. Goodwill follows you everywhere you go. You have done very well- more than most men ever will. However, there is one area that is begging for your urgent attention. This area may well define you and all you have ever achieved. This matter, in my opinion, is the only difference between you and the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo. Let me restate for the purpose of emphasis that this is the area in which the late sage and Leader of the Yorubas stand head and shoulders above you. It is the reason his name has been a constant denominator in our regional and national politics. It is the reason politicians, friends and foes invoke his name for political advantage and personal glory. It is also the reason why we can't stop talking about him almost thirty years after his death. What will anyone say about you thirty years after you have transited?
Asiwaju Sir, you may be wondering what I'm talking about? It is the issue of legacy. According to Peter Strople, 'Legacy is not leaving something for people, it is leaving something in people'. Legacy is building something that outlives you. Legacy is greater than currency. In the words of Leonard Sweet, ' What you do is your history. What you set in motion is your legacy'. You can't live forever, Sir. No one can. But you can create something that will. Enough of speaking in parables- I shall now speak plainly.
When destiny brought you on the scene, we were enamoured because you championed the case for true federalism. It was your belief then that the Yoruba nation will fare better under a restructured arrangement than under the type of unitary government we run while pretending by calling it a federal government. Everyone knows that there is nothing federal about our government at all. If truth must be told, the Yoruba nation has fared very badly since the advent of our new democracy. And this is not about holding power at the centre.
Let me bring this home: someone passed a comment recently that he would want Biafra to become a reality because he knows the Igbo nation will survive. That comment led me to deeper introspection as I wondered if the Yorubas can truly survive. Let me cite my first example. From Oyo to Osun, Ogun to Ondo, Ekiti to Kwara and Lagos, hardly will one see any serious industry or manufacturing concern owned by a Yoruba person. I am not talking about portfolio businesses or one-man business concerns. Most industries in Oyo State are owned by the Lebanese. The native business and industry gurus who dominated the landscape- Nathaniel Idowu, Amos Adegoke, Lekan Salami, Alao Arisekola, Adeola Odutola, Jimoh Odutola, Chief Theophilus Adediran Oni and others- are all gone with no credible replacements. I'm sure you remember the tyre factory of the Odutolas and how Jimoh Odutola was even asked by the Governments of Kenya and Ghana to set up a similar factory in their countries. Chief Theophilus Adediran Oni, popularly called T.A Oni & Sons started the first indigenous construction company in Nigeria. He willed his residence- Goodwill House, to the Oyo/Western state government, to be used as a Paediatric Hospital, which is now known as T.A Oni Memorial Children Hospital at Ring Road in Ibadan. This sprawling family Estate and residence was cited on a 15acre piece of land, 65 rooms, with modern conveniences, Olympic Swimming Pool and stable for Horses, etc.
People like Chief Bode Akindele started companies like Standard Breweries and Dr Pepper Soft drink factory at Alomaja in Ibadan. Broking House built by the late Femi Johnson, an insurance magnate, still stands glittering in the mid-day sun as an epitome to a rich history that Ibadan has. The most serious and only notable Yoruba entrepreneur we have now is Michael Adenuga. I say this quite consciously because most of the other names are oil and gas barons. Most of what stood as testaments of industry in Oyo State are gone- Exide Batteries, Leyland Autos and many others. In its place are shopping malls and road side markets but no nation develops through buying and selling alone- especially when you're not actually producing what you're selling. Hypermarkets and supermarkets have taken over because of the need to feed our insatiable consumer-appetite and foreign tastes. In one instance, an ancient landmark in the form of a hotel was demolished to pave way for a mall. That is how low we have sunk. If our past is better than our present- if we always look back with nostalgia frequently, then there is a problem.
The case of other states is not different. Osun's case is pathetic. Ditto for Ondo and Ekiti. Ogun State can boast of some factories at Sango-Otta and Agbara axis but most of them are not owned by the Yorubas. There is no significant pharmaceutical company owned by any Yoruba except for Bond Chemicals in Awe, Oyo State- and its wallet share is very insignificant. For Lagos State, more than 70% of the manufacturing concerns and major industries in the State are owned by the Igbos. If the Igbos were to stop paying tax in Lagos State, the IGR of Lagos State will reduce by over 60%. In contrast, Sir, go to the South East and look at the manufacturing concerns in Onitsha, Aba and Nnewi. Please don't forget those were areas ravaged by civil war a mere forty something years ago. The Igbos have certainly made tremendous progress but the Yoruba nation has regressed. I wish to state that this letter is not meant to whip up primordial considerations or ethnic sentiments but just to put things in proper perspective.
Asiwaju, I will like to also talk about the state of education in the Yoruba nation. Our education has gone to the dogs. We have a bunch of mis-educated and ill-educated young men and women roaming the streets. Ibadan, for instance, had the first University in Nigeria and the first set of research centres in Nigeria ( The Forestry Research Institute, the Cocoa Research Institute (CRIN), The Nigerian Cereal Research Institute Moor Plantation (NCRI), the NIHORT (Nigerian Institute of Horticultural Research), the NISER (Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research), IAR&T (Institute of Agriculture, Research and Training), amongst several others). Ibadan was the bastion of scholarship with people like Wole Soyinka, JP Clark, D.O Fagunwa and Amos Tutuola as residents. In the May/June 2015 West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination, Abia came tops. Anambra came 2nd while Edo was 3rd. Lagos placed 6th while Osun and Oyo was 29th and 26th. Ekiti was 11th, Ondo State was 13th and Ogun State was 19th. In 2013 WASSCE, only Lagos and Ogun States were the Yoruba States above the national average. If we do an analysis of how Lagos placed 6th in 2015, you will discover that it was substantially because of other nationalities resident in Lagos. For proof, please look no further than the winners of the Spelling Bee competition which has produced One-Day Governors in Lagos State. Since inception in 2001, other nationalities have won the competition six times (Ebuka Anisiobi in 2001, Ovuwhore Etiti in 2002, Abundance Ikechukwu in 2006, Daniel Osunbor in 2008, Akpakpan Iniodu Jones in 2011 and Lilian Ogbuefi in 2012). Sir, there is something seriously wrong about our state of education. From the vintage times of Obafemi Awolowo who initiated 'free education', we have regressed into a most parlous state.
Let me talk about roads, housing and infrastructure . The first dualized road in Nigeria, the Queen Elizabeth road from Mokola to Agodi in Ibadan was formally commissioned by Queen Elizabeth in 1956. The first Housing Estate in Nigeria is Bodija Housing Estate (also in Ibadan) which was built in 1958. The state of roads in the Yoruba nation has become pathetic. Our hinterland are still largely rural. Even some state capitals like Osogbo and Ado-Ekiti are big villages when you compare them to towns in the South East. How many new estates have been built over the last decade? Even Ajoda New Town lies in ruins.
We have abandoned the farm settlement strategy of the Western Region and only pay lip service to agriculture. Instead of feeding others like we once did, others now feed us. We plant no tomatoes, no pepper and the basic food that we require. The Indians have bought the large expanse of water body that we have in Onigambari village. The water body in Oke Ogun of Oyo State can provide enough fish to feed the whole of the South West. From being a major cocoa exporter many years ago, one can point to just a few vestiges of factories that still deal with Cocoa in the Yoruba nation. 80% of Cocoa processing industries in the South West have been shut down. The Chinese have taken over the cashew belt at Ogbomoso in Oyo State. They have even edged out the indigenes as brokers. They now come to the cashew belt to buy from the local farmers, sell on the spot to other Chinese exporters who now process the cashew nuts and import them back into Nigeria at a premium. Sir, there are only 7 major cashew processing plants in Nigeria and you can check out the ownership. The glory has departed from the Yoruba nation.
Apart from Asejire, Ede, Ikere Gorge and Oyan dams built ages ago, where are the new dams to cater for increased population and water capacity for the Yoruba nation? How have we improved on what our heroes past left us? Maybe apart from certain areas in Lagos State, others can't even supply their citizens with pipe-borne water.
Our youth which we used to take pride in are largely a mass of unemployed and unemployable people. Have you noticed the abundance of street urchins, area boys, touts and 'agberos' that we now have all across the Yoruba nation? Have you noticed the swell in the ranks of NURTW (I mean no disrespect to an otherwise noble union)? Have you noticed the increase in the number of Yoruba beggars? There was a time that it was taboo for a Yoruba man to beg- but no more. The spirit of apprenticeship is dead. There was a time that people who learn vocational skills celebrate what we referred to as 'freedom'. While that is largely moribund now in the Yoruba nation, the Igbos still practice it with great success.
The only thing we can boldly say the Yoruba nation controls is the information machinery- the press. We own largely the newspapers- the Nation, Punch, Nigerian Tribune, TV Continental and a few others. It is because of our control of this information machinery that we have rewritten the narrative in the country with the misguided self-belief that things are normal and we are making progress. A look beyond the surface will prove that this is so untrue.
We are largely divided. For the first time in the history of the Yoruba nation, religion is about to divide us further- and it is starting from Osun State. You are married to a Christian. My own father-in-law is an Alhaji. That is how we have peacefully do-existed but the fabrics are about to be torn to shreds because of poor management of issues. Afenifere has been reduced to a shadow of itself. OPC that once defended Yoruba interests has gone into oblivion. Yoruba elders have been vilified in the name of politics and partisanship. It is no longer news to see teenagers throwing stones at their elders because of their political indoctrination. Even under the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, the Yorubas never belonged to just a single party- yet our unity was without blemish. Now, our values have gone down the drain.
Asiwaju, I believe I have said enough. The task is Herculean but I believe Providence has brought you here for such a time like this. It is time for the Yoruba nation to clean up its acts. What do we really want? How can we quickly right the wrongs? The Yoruba nation is in a state of arrested development. The Yoruba nation is gasping for breath and crying for help. Will you rise up to the occasion? I am aware you understand that all politics is local and charity begins at home. Our fathers gave us a proverb: 'Bi o'ode o dun, bi igbe ni'gboro ri'. I know there are no quick fixes but I also know that if there is anyone who has the capacity to do something about our current situation, that person is you. This should be the legacy you should think of. Your legacy is our future.
Yours Very Sincerely,
Adebayo Adeyinka

EducationScrapping Of Post-utme A Calamitous Mistake--Afe Babalola by olucephas(op): 1:32pm On Jun 05, 2016
https:///tPdYVHQt0e...
Elder statesman and lawyer, Aare Afe Babalola (SAN) has described the scrapping of the post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (post-UTME, otherwise called post-JAMB) by the Federal Government as a “calamitous mistake.”
The founder of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti (ABUAD), said he was “more than shocked by the announcement” from the Minster of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, that post-UTME as part of the qualifying procedure for admission into Nigerian universities, has now been cancelled.
On governance, he called for a return to regionalism and parliamentary system of government, saying for Nigeria to come out of its myriads of socio-political and economic problems, it needs a restructuring that would make the regions stronger and control their resources.
Babalola, who was in the vanguard of those who canvassed for the qualifying examinations as the Pro-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, said: “This, to me, is nothing but a most calamitous mistake, which poses danger and an irreversible adverse effect on the quality of education in this country.”
He said he was particularly surprised and worried that such a far-reaching decision could be taken without due and adequate consideration for how the concept of the post- UTME came into being.
“It is rather unfortunate that human memory is very short. In 2003, it was discovered by university administrators in this country that many of the students admitted into Nigerian universities through JAMB were not only academically deficient, they could also not justify the high marks scored in JAMB examinations.
“Cases abound whereby JAMB examination papers were being openly compromised and sold to students at examination centers, while some examination centers, mischievously dubbed miracle centres, were openly, but unofficially designed to guarantee high marks for some candidates.
“The most pathetic aspect of this perfidy is that we later found out that most of these students with such high marks were unable to cope academically upon their being admitted to the universities.”
He added:-
“It was at this point of this national embarrassment that the Committee of Pro-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities, under my chairmanship, met in Abuja, x-rayed the cankerworm and recommended to former President Olusegun Obasanjo that JAMB should be scrapped, because the integrity of its examinations has been called to question.
“I must stress at this point that the introduction of post-UTME was not decided by the Committee of Pro-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities alone; the matter was thrown open, with contributions from stakeholders and interested and concerned members of the different strata of society.
“However, government in its wisdom, decided to adopt a middle-way approach to the matter by saying that JAMB should continue to be and conduct its business of qualifying examinations to tertiary institutions in Nigeria, while post-UTME should be introduced.
“This translates to the fact that JAMB will be used as the basis for admission into Nigerian universities, but the universities are free to conduct screening exercises, which include administering questions in relevant courses, for their would-be students.”
According to him: “The post-UTME had proved to be a veritable quality control measure, which I believed had been working and working well.
“For example, the first post-UTME we conducted at the University of Lagos, where I was then the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, yielded positive dividends.
“There was this student with a very impressive result, who applied to study Law. Since English Literature was and still central to the admission of students to study Law, he was asked if he knew a novel called Things Fall Apart and he answered in the affirmative. Christianity EtcWho Really Killed Jesus?......."easter Exposition" by olucephas(op): 8:28pm On Mar 26, 2016
So many people are intrigued by the story of Jesus’ crucifixion. Documentaries, artifact digs and a plethora of research seem to surface every year, especially around Easter.
Maybe you, too, are captivated by Jesus Christ—His life, death, burial and resurrection—and are fascinated by the idea of a man so divine that He rose from the dead. Maybe you wonder who killed Him to begin with.
The answer is found in the Bible—and it’s an answer that can change your life forever.
You might have heard of Pontius Pilate, the Roman governor of Israel who sentenced Jesus to death despite no evidence against Him (Matthew 27:22-26). There were also religious leaders who wanted Jesus killed because He claimed to be the Messiah—the Savior of the world—and didn’t adhere to their laws (John 5:18). Then there was Judas Iscariot who betrayed Jesus, handing Him over to the very people who wanted Him crucified (Luke 22:3-6).
But we can’t place the responsibility of Christ’s death on any one person or group. It was our sin—all the things we do that go against God—that made His sacrifice necessary. Ultimately, it was God’s divine plan for His Son Jesus to die on that cross—and it happened just as He intended.
Jesus was sent by God to live on earth among sinners like us so we would see our need for a Savior, someone to save us from our sins.
Jesus knew He would be killed. He even warned His disciples in advance, saying, “… The Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death, and deliver Him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify. And the third day He will rise again” (Matthew 20:18-19, NKJV).
Jesus willingly sacrificed His life. He stayed on the cross to prove God’s love for us. Then, showing God’s true power, He rose from the dead three days later to claim victory over death—just as He said He would.
God loves us, and He doesn’t want us to be poisoned by sin’s hold. It separates us from Him and leads to spiritual death, hell and judgment. That’s why He came from heaven in the person of Jesus Christ to bear all the sins of humanity with one act: dying on the cross. Because of His sacrifice, we can be freed from our sin and the death that it brings.
We don’t need to point fingers at those we think killed Jesus. Instead, fix your attention on the One who
knew He would be killed and willingly allowed it to happen because of His love for us.
Jesus is alive today and loves you more than you know. Will you accept His love for you and ask Him into your life today?
Christianity EtcUnderstanding Christianity And Islam In The Wake Of Global Terror by olucephas(op): 8:47am On Mar 24, 2016
Today, in the wake of the Brussels bombing, Dr. Nabeel Qureshi wrote an oped on radicalism in Islam in which he quoted two verses from the Qur'an which are very profound. I want to be sure he is not lying or misrepresenting Islam.
If you are Muslim and have read the Qur'an can you confirm if the two verses below which were used by Dr. Qureshi are in the Qur'an or if he made it up? You can also read his oped piece here www.usatoday.com
http://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2016/03/22/radicalization-isil-islam-sacred-texts-literal-interpretation-column/81808560/
Qur’an 9:29—Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the Religion of Truth, from among the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.
Qur’an 9:30—The Jews call Uzair a son of God, and the Christians call Christ the son of God. That is a saying from their mouth; (In this) they but imitate what the Unbelievers of old used to say. Allah’s curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!
I read the Qur'an in 1999 in Potiskum, a sleepy town in Northern Nigeria, but I must have missed these verses. I am a Christian and I believe in one God, who is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I believe that the only way to this one God is through His Son Jesus, known in Islam as Nabi Isa.
My intention in seeking clarification is to understand Islam and Muslims better.
If anybody believes that Christians and Muslims can forget their differences, that person is either a liar or a naive person. The best way we can achieve peaceful coexistence is if we understand our differences.
For instance, Jesus, The Son of God, said "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."-John 14:6.
That is an unequivocal statement. If I believe that statement, I cannot believe in any other way.
But when Jesus (real name Yeshu'a) was on earth He did not snob Pharisees, in fact He met with them secretly (John 3: 1-5) and openly. He met with Samaritans (John 4:7-12). He associated with Romans and in fact called out a Roman Centurion as having more faith than He had seen in Israel (Matthew 8:10). He even associated with a woman from modern day Syria (Mark 7:24-30).
So there is no doubt in my mind that if Jesus were alive on earth today (Jesus is alive forever), He would associate with Muslims for the purpose of getting them to understand Christ followership and listening to Muslims.
My own father was a Christian from birth till he died, married to a pastor, yet he was an expert on sharia law and was well respected as a jurist in that field in and around Northwest Nigeria.
This is my background. I am a follower of Jesus, a friend of Islam and one who seeks to help Christianity understand Islam and vice versa.
It is from this stand point that I ask if the verses quoted by Dr. Qureshi are genuine and accurate.
If they are, how would they affect the ability of the Body of Christ to have any genuine peaceful coexistence with the Muslim Ummah?
Many in both Christianity and Islam may be unaware that Christians played a very central role in the life of Prophet Mohammed (SAW).
Waraka, one of the earliest friends of Prophet Mohammed who was a cousin to his first wife, Khadija, was a Nestorian priest. For those who may not know what a Nestorian is, this was a branch of Christianity that believe in a division between the human and divine natures of Jesus. He was one of the first, if not the first persons to translate the New Testament into Arabic.
Also, when Prophet Mohammed and his followers were facing persecution from the Quraysh tribe in Mecca, the early Muslims were given asylum in Abyssinia by the Christian King, Negus.
When the Quraysh sent emissaries to King Negus, seeking for the expulsion of the Muslim Ummah in Abyssinia, Negus called the Muslims and in the presence of the emissaries from the Quraysh, told them as follows "go, for you are safe in my country."
Given this history of how Christians have showed love to Muslims and Islam over the millennia, I am thus nonplussed at these two verses cited by Dr. Qureshi and I therefore call on any friend of Christianity who happens to be a Muslim to shed more light on these verses so we can better understand each other.
Finally, On the recent Brussels Terror Attacks proper, I read the response of the Belgian Prime Minister and his words gave me pause. Perhaps even apprehension.
"We were fearing terrorist attacks, and that has now happened”. Those were the words of Prime Minister Charles Michel of Belgium a few hours ago.
I condemn the terror attacks but I want to warn that as Christians, we should never entertain fear. Not for terrorists or anything for that matter because what we fear will always happen.
Prime Minister Charles Michel is not the first man to use such words. They were first used by Job in The Bible. Job said "What I feared has come upon me". Sound familiar? What is the solution? "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good"-Romans 12:21.

PoliticsBOKO HARAM: Sambisa Forest As Big As Enugu —buratai by olucephas(op): 6:43pm On Mar 18, 2016
Vanguard.com.ENUGU —The Military High Command, yesterday, explained that the expanse of the Sambisa forest, in Borno State where the Boko Haram terrorists hibernate was largely responsible in the delay in flushing the insurgents out of their safe haven.
This is even as the Army revealed that an investigative panel has been set up to look into the alleged killing of members of the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB,and the Indigenous People of Biafra,IPOB,protesting the continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu,Radio Biafra Director,in Aba,Abia State.
Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Tukur Burutai, stated this during a familiarization tour at the 82 Division, Enugu, yesterday.
According to the COAS,”we are already in Sambisa forest. But Sambisa is as big as Enugu state which needs thorough planning for logistics and other manpower needed. That accounts for the delay in flushing out the insurgents. The alleged incident of killing of MASSOB,IPOB members by the Army in Aba will be investigated.
“Since my appointment,we have set out to build a professionally responsible Army in the discharge of its constitutional role which is the result of what we are seeing today. We have taken steps to ensure that education within the Army is paramount to ensure that troops operate within the rules of engagement "
