The reasons people attack Romeo3 is his line of reasoning. He comes here defending Uber as if they make the best of decisions for their partners.
It's appalling that anyone can defend Uber.
No matter how low Uber bring its prices people will always make money but making money isn't the issue here but is it worth your effort?
Uber made people to buy almost new cars only to change all the requirements
When pump price was increased Uber refused to increase the fares.
Imagine Lagos and Abuja(with negligible traffic) have the same rates now. Why?
Now people are buying 2003 corolla for Uber tmrw Uber will wake up and say it accept only 2010.

Soon they may fully deregulate and petrol sells for 250 Uber will not increase their fares.

I can never defend nor praise Uber even if I make a living from them because I understand their gimmicks.

Some of Us try to resist their evil ways but people like Romeo3 think we are stupid and lazy. I am happy for you atleast you have some cash to meet your immediate needs.

But think twice before you praise Uber. Soon you will understand. Because it will hit hard

I welcome all your missiles. Just don't send Nuclear warheads

Only the myopic will take Uber new concept out on a trip.

Lets say before now Uber had 10,000 partners who raked in 400k per month.
That's N4Billion in total. Uber fee of 25% is N1Billion

Now if Uber attains 60,000 partners who raked in 250k monthly. That's 15Billion and 25% is N3.75Billion

Less earning for individual partners but more money for uber

never ever engage pessimists in their negativity or else they become wise in their own eyes.

that is all i have to say.
Deciding not to drive for Uber does not make anyone pessimist, Uber is not the only business in this world. The way you reason make one wonder the level of your experience and business acumen. What people are telling you is this Uber is a wicked company who care less about their partners.

Let me tell you this.
Uber in US bought Lexus to people on loan to Operate Uber Black(Luxury and most expensive) then after 6 months banned them from operating on Uber Black and moved them all to UberX the least expensive.
To keep up with loan repayment, they had to work extra hours.

Obviously the premium you place on your life is low as you don't really mind working more hours to make same thing.

I have someone who resigned from a N22million Job because he was not given same pecks(driver, official car etc) as expatriates who were on same level with him. he was jobless for 2 months and the next job he got was woah. N35million with a house in lekki phase1,car, driver and cook.

Walmart gross earnings is the highest among her peers but pay their workers rubbish.

This 40% slash is not about you or any other driver/partner. Its about increased revenue for the greedy Uber. you just started Uber ask people who started with them who bought brand new cars to put on uber.

You ain't seen nothing yet wait till Uber gets their desired more partners and remove all the incentives.

Why has there been an increase in complaints against Uber drivers lately, if you doubt me just type @ubernigeria into your twitter search and click latest.

Before you put your car on Uber or Taxify you need to think about this. Don't look at daily money.

1 What is the the age of your car(2007 car is 10 years) and the cost(market price)
2 What is the cost of maintenance
3 What is your profit after Fueling
4 What is your Savings for 3 to 4 years.
5 What is the market value(cost)of a corresponding year car i.e 2011 car in 4 years time.
6 If your savings plus value of your rickety car can buy you a 10 year old car (2011 car) in 4 years plus savings then go ahead.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by OlugbengaE: 5:06pm On May 28, 2017
The math has been written out all over the internet. When you drive for Uber, you are essentially borrowing the future value of your car from yourself, to pay yourself today. The maintenance costs alone barely keep up what Uber pays you. So while you may get away with no costs in the short term, eventually you're going to have to pay down the road.

So I picked up a lady yesterday from Ikeja. We passed through yaba and this girl said she wants to buy things from the market I refused telling her she didn't tell me before we left. Anyway i agreed so I parked at the market o waiting for her. Then the area boys came saying parking is 300. I said gwen. After about 15 mins the girl came back and I told her to pay the 300 this girl refused ooo saying she cant pay at all that I should run them over. She started cursing me oo that I am fool this and that. I just smiled I told her I cant run them over. She said I was too lenient that other cab drivers will no listen to them but just run over.

Anyway she paid them 200 cursing and abusing me.

The cheap girl put his leg ontop of my dashboard
PoliticsRe: Chief Of Defence Staff Vs Chief Of Army Staff: Which Position Is More Superior? by OlugbengaE: 9:18am On May 22, 2017
win2kwire:
Yes, but some corrections

1, Traditionally in Nigeria: Chief of Army staff = COAS (not CAS) - Chief of Air staff = CAS
2, The COAS and CDS do not command troops, the GOCs and Brigade commanders do.
3, The relationships between the CDS or COAS to the troops depends what loyalties they get directly from the troop commanders!
4, The CDS is a FULL 4 star general while the COAS is a 3 star Lt General. The CDS is by far superior and he can contact the Troop commanders directly if he feels the COAS is compromised! The CDS is the top military uniformed commander in the armed forces. The minister of defence and Minister of state for defence only have political and administrative oversight, although they can issue presidential orders to the CDS and COAS!
Thanks for this enlightenment. I believe this CDS is a Nairalander

BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by OlugbengaE:
The era of SUVs are over for Uber/Taxify Nigeria. The profit margin is not that much as such can no longer accommodate such cars. The best cars for Uber are Corolla, civic and prius. UberX in yankee has alot of crossover SUV and fuel is not an issue. Soon Uber will start accepting cars from 1999(pencil light here it comes) from 2003 because they are now competing with kabukabu Orobo Camry 1996 and and 1987 Santana
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by OlugbengaE:
Now I see why many see you as Uber representative. The question Iasked was how many litre of fuel per day and you had to write all this epistle?

All the same thanks for the explanation

The Explanation is sound but no matter the explanation, Uber just alike any other company thinks more about its customers(riders) than 'employees'(drivers)

Romeo3:
let me expose your fallacious asinine logic about cars being overworked.

as long as you use a private car for commercial purposes you are doing more than the recommended 15,000 miles yearly so can you kindly shut up about cars being overworked? a private car being used for commercial purposes only requires periodic maintenance more often than its counterparts not being used commercially. as long as you give it optimum maintenance, it will serve you like it is brand new.

would you now stop using that fallacy to console your laziness and willingness to work hard to achieve your aim?

you can never be me. my determination and resolve to make things work you can never have. i drive longer hours than you do and i still maintain my car better than you do. so spare yourself the nonsense and face the actual issue here.

i have challenged 36 of you to actually make more money on taxify than i do on uber.

post your results like i do or just shut up. i only need one out of the 36 of you lazy whining bums to make more on taxify than i do on uber. i am all about making money and not sitting down. if i wanted an office job my degree would provide that. but i choose to drive. if you do not understand the semantics of how resolve and determination works, sit on your fingers and stop typing with your arse.
You are a fool who accepts anything thrown at you. FYI Uber plans to do another 15% reduction for people like who accept anything

That your 3k would have done twice what you achieved if the slave drivers did not reduce the price?

Soon all the incentives will stop. And let's see how people like you will survive

Romeo3 you be Olodo. No sane driver hate taxify the way you do. Why hate something that gives you more money per trip. If you are smart you will be doing both not fighting one and supporting one abi uber na ya papa company?

Romeo3:
off point.

the point here is that you call uber drivers fools for choosing to drive with uber. ...

if now at the end of the week an uber driver makes more than you make as a driver on taxify, you need to be checked in the head.

it's all i am saying.

you dont call someone a fool and still watch him make more than you do...
Romeo3 is a fool for working with a slave driver company and he didn't even know.
Yes you are a fool for working with Uber.
You have mental laziness syndrome.

Do the maths it doesn't add up.

If you can think you should change your name to slave3

A casual worker who earns 1500 a day is happy to take something home. Romeo3 has a casual worker mentality.

I am very happy for you at least you are making something.

Allover the world people demand for higher wages.
Romeo3 is happy uber reduced his wages.
No matter the level of marketing you are doing for uber here, partners are angry.

Many have stopped.

I went online on uber yesterday after 2 weeks
magodo to constain for 1043 even with 1.3X
I immediately went offline.
The woman I carried is a regular user of uber. She told me since Uber reduced fares the quality of cars and drivers have gone down. She was surprised to see my car on Uber.

The only people who still drive on uber are drivers on HP or rental. They didn't buy the car. They only care about the money they make irrespective of the wear and tear depreciation and cost of the maintenance.
They are happy at least they are getting something

I am a driver partner I bought my cars and I drive one myself.

Uber as it is.... is not worth it.
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by OlugbengaE: 12:08pm On May 19, 2017
Anybody who understand the reason behind this new Uber price will never drive for Uber.

Uber care less about her partners.

Imagine the wicked company advertises the reduction in fare on radio as if they own the cars.

How can a company unilaterally take such a decision with caring about her partners.

I repeat only fools still drive for uber.

95% of Uber drivers are angry with them.

I met a guy who still drive for Uber but does it off Uber.

He had a rider who gave him extra 2k after a trip because he believes the price was ridiculously cheap

* Will the App rate a new driver 5.0. If not, how will the driver get Request online when the rider(customer) will always send request to high rated drivers.
* Is there any means to communicate with the rider (i.e phone call, chat)
no more questions. just drive
