Travel / Re: How Is It Like Teaching English In China In 2020 by Oluseun234: 11:03am On Oct 17, 2023
Hello team

Seems the last reply here is 2020. Especially @Nobody or anyone else working legitimately as a teacher in SE Asia. Where are black west Africans recruited the most between 2022-23: Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia or Vietnam? How about China, South Korea, Japan or latin American countries.

I learnt here that most of them largely prefer native English Speakers from First World but maybe recently, there are several others who have discovered the proficiency level of Nigerians and are giving us a chance to teach in their educational institutions (language centres, Primary/secondary are my target)

I hope these Nigerians have not experienced extreme discrimination so far (slurs, physical violence or fabrication of lies to get them sacked and deported home or jailed (not those who are doing illegal activities)

For someone who has not gained teaching experience, which of these countries gives us employment as an English teacher and what is the salary bracket for us in relation to cost of living before thinking to enrol in the TEFL course because it is costly now.

Your candid advice will be highly appreciated
As soon as possible

Thanks!

Pls I want to know if visa is really issued to study a Portuguese language course 6-8months duration from the embassy here in Nigeria and processing time?

And can someone pls state when visa application portal or (is it for legalisation? )opens and closes and how you will know that there is now access cos I read people monitoring this.

Anyone who has gone to study Portuguese language can shed more light on requirements as well thank you.
Travel / Re: Portugal Job Seekers Visa by Oluseun234: 9:28pm On Aug 16, 2023
Pls folks be clear on whether or not there is appointment date for job seeker visa and success rate

One person comes here to say no appointment date for legalisation and visa documents submission & interview;
Another comes to say: they are accepting applications since July. Giving unreliable reports on the current state of the job seeker visa application

Who have tried between July and August and where did you submit your visa document requirements : in Abuja or VFS centre in Lagos ? What has been the success rate on this visa category

Let us be clear on this. There is no money to waste this 2023 on futile travel dreams.

Thank you for your understanding folks

Travel / Re: Italian Student Visa-help! by Oluseun234: 7:51pm On Jun 26, 2023
Hi folks.

We've got a problem . I have a relative whose husband just had a masters admission to a university in Italy on scholarship. Though the university sent him the general requirements for visa applications if you are a Non_EU nationale but he was advised to still ask our Italian embassy for a detailed requirement list. My relative would be accompanying him as spouse. They called the VFS Lagos, sent several emails but no reply. She even contacted the Consulate at Abuja. However they told her that they only received the application documents sent to them from Lagos and since she and her husband would be submitting in Lagos , they should call Lagos embassy again . They called again today no reply and till today, the email has not been treated. Please if there is anyone that has travelled to Italy as a student and went along with their spouse to please state a detailed requirement list of what is needed by the spouse at the embassy . Many thanks

Travel / Re: Offer Of Advice For Interest In Studying In Czech by Oluseun234: 2:42am On Jun 26, 2023
Pls I would like to ask how visa applicants go about this since our debit card is not working for foreign currency withdrawals. Do you explain to the embassy that our debit card is not serving such purpose any more or there is another type of debit card visa applicant present at the embassy pls indicate

An excerpt from a visaguide website:-
........bank statement of the applicant for the last three months must be submitted along with a debit card, which may used for accessing these funds in the Czech Republic.

2. Can someone please tell if appointments are now issued for applicants to submit their documents for screening and interview (very crucial )

3. What is the amount in Naira for the health insurance coverage and can someone please list the companies that can help with such service and are recognised by the embassy

As for certified translation of appropriate documents for the visa processing, should this be done at the embassy or by any certified translator and if it is by the latter, how can you find one.

Thanks

@joemike what are you required to notarize and when did you apply for a programme?
How long did you wait for a response?
Travel / Re: Study In France - Process And Enquiries Thread by Oluseun234: 3:01am On Jun 22, 2023
Pls I want someone with a good knowledge of France study visa precularities for nigerians should please answer these questions accordingly and clearly. Urgent!

Can you apply for admission, get a visa by august this year or it's too late?

2. I read somewhere here that the financial sponsor has to show CAC document . No mention of submission of tax returns. Anyone who has been to the embassy between 2022 to present day should please say if truly no tax clearance certificate is required from your sponsor or from you if you say you are an employee or self-employed.

3. Can a sponsor with an inactive status on CAC website but has a strong personal account still stand as guarantor for study visa?

4. If no, rather , someone with an active CAC status must be your financial sponsor , can you then use a non-relative e.g. a volunteer from your church as your sponsor but has an active CAC status; will this be accepted ?

5. What is the success rate for France study visa between 2022 to present and when is the best time to start application? Thank you

HELLO NAIRALANDERS,

I would want honest advice for someone who already has a USA MSc degree with no solid work experience since 2015 but has a small start-up company in Nigeria and want to study again in Ireland, can he apply for Executive MBA or a professional Masters e.g Project Management? Can someone please say if he should apply for studies again.

Can someone also please state here detailed study visa requirements for postgraduate visa applicants and since the person already has a USA MSc certificate since 2014, will he still need to present an English Language Proficiency Test score as part of visa requirement? Will he be exempted from such requirement?

In addition, can he use a sponsor to support this study duration despite he is self-employed (no money in his current account) so, can he use a distant relative; must he show proof of ties with the sponsor and is it compulsory that the sponsor show land deed, tax certificate etc? And how should one pay tuition and accommodation from Nigeria considering the debit card and foreign transfer blockages from Nigerian banks? Do AUSSIE universities offer a no-deposit Master Programme and will this be recognised by the embassy if no tuition is paid until after arrival in Australia?

Someone who has a knowledge of all these questions as of 2023 should please reply and looking forward to that. Thanks!

Pls I need honest advice for someone who already has a Netherlands MSc degree with no solid work experience since 2015 but has a small start-up company in Nigeria and want to relocate to Canada, can he apply for a Postgraduate Diploma course and not have issues regarding visa grant? Cos he cannot pay for another MSc and would like to go for a programme without thesis since he already has acquired SUCH in Netherlands. He just needs a professional certificate but should be recognised by the Canadian embassy for visa. Can someone please say if he should apply for studies again and is it true that students who do not make an initial deposit for their tuition will be sent back home at Canada airport even if it is a no=deposit programme ?

Can someone please post the new full requirements for study visa application if you want to self fund or use a sponsor?

For example, will the sponsor have to provide evidence of landed property and tax certificate if he already has CAC document?

If it is a limited liability company, will the sponsor have to show evidence of relationship ties with shareholders and attestation of birth certificate/ notarized relationship affidavit with the sponsor?

If it is self-funded and you have your own company, but you have zero balance in the current account but money in your savings and will you have to show proof of former employment places that were listed in your CV before you set up your company etc?

I am just reading different requirements requested here and there please I want one or two persons to please list the detailed requirements for Canada Postgraduate Study Visa (single person), Conference and Tourist visa (single person) as of 2023 so I know how to prepare the documents and which pathway to choose based on the availability of documents for any of the visa type.

Thanks

@ashirioluwa & @josephb

Oh! Thank you for your honest replies. We are grateful for this direction.

Okay now, for the guy who had an MSc from a top university in Netherlands, he has tried Canada EXPRESS ENTRY but to no desirable results for years so what should he apply for to enter Canada LEGITIMATELY & QUICKLY since work visa from Nigeria is almost impossible and also does not have family ties in Canada and not yet married:

Should he apply for:
a) Conference visa as a listener and his visa applications be approved
b) or a professional MBA/ Executive MBA (is he eligible for this and can he choose a cheap one and not be denied a visa)
c) Tourist visa

2) There is a couple who are planning to travel and want me to also throw their plight on this platform:

Husband only has an undergraduate degree (BSc) from a Nigerian University; Wife had both BSc and MSc in the UK plus a discontinued MSc without thesis Programme in Turkey in 2019. In addition, the wife has a small family-owned start-up company whose services are mainly done online.

They consulted with a travel agent. The husband wants to apply for a postgraduate diploma in Canada. Is he eligible to enroll for such degree type? This was suggested to him by the agent due to his sponsor's financial account.

Then the agent suggested the wife to apply for a programme too in Canada because he claimed that she might not be given a visa to accompany her husband who is going to study. They do not know if their agent is only saying this to charge them more. They googled on their own and found that as a dependent, she could opt for Spousal Open Work Permit as a dependent travelling along.
Pls is it true that if she goes for the Spousal visa, she will not be issued a visa and if you two are skeptical about someone with an MSc graduate opting for PGD. I dont think she should apply for an MSc programme as well. Pls your advice. Many thanks

Hello to you all,

Pls I need a piece of credible advice from those who have applied for visiting visa from Nigeria this 2023,

With all honesty, I want to know if one will get the Canadian tourist visa within 3 months or what is the expected average time to get the visa {not what is stated on the embassy website but reality}

What is the eligibility percentage of securing a visiting visa for someone with no family ties in Canada?

What about Conference Visa? How easy do applicants get the visa from Nigeria and can it be easily converted to a work permit in Canada {this is for a friend}

Last, who knows if truly Canada offers work visa to applicants from Nigeria. We all know our agents will not tell us the true picture of things just to extort money from their clients. Will offers be given for unskilled to skilled jobs and how long does it take to get a visa and what conditions should be met ?

Then for someone who already has a Netherlands MSc degree with no solid work experience since 2015 but has a small start-up company in Nigeria and want to relocate to Canada, can he apply for a Postgraduate Diploma course and not have issues regarding visa grant? Cos he cannot pay for another MSc and would like to go for a programme without thesis since he already has acquired SUCH in Netherlands. He just needs a professional certificate but should be recognised by the Canadian embassy for visa. Can someone please say if he should apply for studies again and is it true that students who do not make an initial deposit for their tuition will be sent back home at canada airport even if it is a no=deposit programme ? pls i will appreciate honest answers to all my questions. Thanks!
