You are very right. The recommend tipster is a scammer. And I will post his profile here so all can see. Okay I guess this former classmate works for him cos both are now offline. This just happened now. Oh God na financial poverty cause all this. He said he offers fixed match odds for 5k but I told him my earlier ordeal of getting rubbish codes for 1k while another tipster sent me a code for free that got back my staked 100naira and additional 250 but told me that because I staked low that is why I didn't recover the 1000 naira used to buy what he called 'rubbish ticket (the over 8 Matches that the 1st wrong assumed score led to me losing my stake). However he said since I had confirmed his free code which obviously turned in my favour, I should proceed with 15k payment to buy VIP sure bet. But I am a newbie and find this too high to invest with. With no seasoned better in my vicinity or that I really know to confirm whether to actually use his services or not, I decided to rather go for the recommended 'Home Gold' run by a Mr David and his cohort. After sending him how I used the services of an unreliable tipster and asking for a discounted charge to first test his own soccer codes, he said I could pay 3k naira to first build trust and that payment was for an afternoon fixed match odds. Okay, "send your account details". He didn't until 9pm I think; sending the account details of another person, claiming he is one of his admin staff for his WhatsApp group as his own account has issues. I began to feel hesitant but he told me to hasten up so I can get the code for evening session. I sent the 3k through a house relative that uses one of these fast fintech bank accounts and told him the 3k had been sent. He later said via voice note "you sent 3k? No it should be 5k". I told him we both agreed to 3k in the afternoon but he was not available on time to send his account details. He said because I am a newcomer, each charge pasted is for a particular subscription so that one had passed. That he too gets the codes from another agent so he has to realize some profits and that one was a sure bet. Well I didn't mind so far it yields high earnings so I first increased my deposit to 2k then asked this person to send him additional 2k to make up his expected 5k for the evening code to the beneficiary account he sent to me which I will post here so no one else falls victim. Heeeee within a week of joining this betting industry, due to ignorance, I have lost like 8k to these useless tipsters/scammers. This happened not quite long uhmmm.... Okay.... So he called me on Whatsapp after I made the deposit to ask how long ago I subscribed to my betting app. I told him like 4 weeks ago. He said okay, he would like to introduce me to a secret package that only his family members are aware of. That it is called football adder offered by football.com. That he would send me a video of a deal with someone he helped so after listening to the video, I should tell him whether or not to proceed with such getaway gift to boost my account balance. So I received this video between a customer and one Mr Sunday who according to the sample video, is the football manager for winning the adder on football.com. The minimum to send to said football manager is 6k naira to get 400000k naira in your betting app account and 30% of that is to go to this tipster's account details he provides to you. Now I want you all to take note: Having being duped even before I joined the betting industry over something else, I began to suspect this guy is a fraudster which I raised with the following with him: 1) when you have such a robust offer in the first place, having read my previous plight with a tipster, why didn't you throw this offer before suggesting your sure bet code cos he gave that he just felt to help me out after listening about my financial hardship and the plea to slash down his code charge. That betting is a 50:50 chance and this 5k code may not turn in my favour but that the adder package will not only boost my app account balance but I can immediately withdraw 150k and send 30% of the 400k generated from the minimum amount of 6k to the football manager in football.com or if I can't register, he could help me if I could just send the 6k to him with solid trust. *I have not even seen the outcome of the 5k code o* I thanked him for this offer and raised my concerns: I just knew him. I haven't even tested the so-called fixed match odds he claimed were correct scores so let me see how that turns out. He went ahead to send an array of voice notes that I should consider the adder promo. That it has an expiry date and not always available all year round; Just comes once in a blue moon for new subscribers on betting APPS. He only even shared this fabulous offer with only his sister this year and has cashed out so I shouldn't let this opportunity slip my fingers. At this point, I knew I have been scammed so I told him that if he had genuine intentions to help struggling Nigerians why did he first deceive me with "okay, pay 3k" then to "5k now for a bundle of evening matches. The 3k one was only for afternoon matches and that had gone. Now, I want you to pay 6k to get 400k added cos this is the most reliable return on investment?" I told him this is not a charitable offer on his part so he should proceed to send me the sure code he promised me. He instantly sent a voice note that he is regretting suggesting this offer and _what he didn't mention earlier_ that : if this fixed match odds ticket fails me, there is a refund or an extra code for me to recover the loss. I should trust him cos he too has posted a scammer package on his WhatsApp business page. He also posts daily religious quotes for his WhatsApp group members to never give up on betting and put God first (I guess this is for newbies to assume he is a god-fearing tipster😠smhv). He also sent that 'he would have helped me pay for the 6k adder package because he also needed the 30% (is it commission fee cos he sounds quick and dull perhaps so you don't register his real voice) but his bank account has issues but when I told him that the bank USSD code I use only accepts Opay and Palmpay, he was able to send an Opay account 🤨. I told him curtly that I don't do business this way after just deceived earlier on by a tipster. In my mind, I asked "you trust me to send 30%. A Nigerian will trust another Nigerian to send his share of his 'charitable offer? 🤨. Ordinary Jiji that even stated that no buyer should pay for any goods before delivery yet no matter the promises you make and knowing you are the one at a higher risk of not receiving your paid goods, Jiji sellers do not even agree to a down payment while you can pay the rest after delivery so I asked in me "you want to help me win 400k with the trust that I will give you two your 30% share". I just knew I have been scammed already. I told him I need to see the code and sent a screenshot of the free one that successfully returned my initial #100 stake loss and told him that if he sells genuine codes, we should start off with that or to bust his dubious schemes. He then repeatedly sent another 3 voice notes that he is not a scammer; that I am paranoid here. Fixed match odds are not quickly generated so I have to wait for the platform he too gets these codes to generate them and he would send me the one I paid for (giving no specific time). That I should trust him. I can see screenshots of testimonies on his admin account; an account you cannot even drop a message on but can only react with an emoji. And I remembered quite well. He said "quickly pay 5k for the evening bundle (yesterday's own) before it expires". Okay I waited until 11:15pm because 12am starts a new day cos I didn't pay for a new day code and asked angrily "oga, pls what exactly did I pay for? I thought codes are sent instantly? Perhaps you should refund me. I am no longer interested but my messages didn't show the 'double mark'. He has either blocked me or went offline. So another 5k gone!! Then subsequent tipsters from his admin account send me messages asking if I need sure bet codes and I see they are all coming from the same source which I replied that their 'David' has and I have saved his profile to expose them. So Nigerians joining this betting industry, pls beware! Avoid contacting random tipsters on Facebook or YouTube or TIKTOK or here on Nairaland even if they post religious quotes and proof of winnings from their so called 'new clients'. Thanks Screenshots of the fraudster's WhatsApp profile pages.

I have a little problem. Just joined the betting industry 4 weeks ago and not a football fan but financial hardship draws me to this money-making avenue. I was told that since I know nothing about betting, I can use a tipster or what do you call those that sell codes. Well, I did a couple of days ago after I realized that the terminologies in and functionalities of a betting app are vague limiting my betting plan and winnings so I bought two coupons. As soon as I entered them and clicked on 'confirm bet', I saw 'auto cash-out'. Even after reading the meaning on the app's 'how to play' prompt page, still I didn't understand until after I tapped on one leaving the other and realized 96% of my stake was returned and an alert that that bet has been settled was sent. I asked "settled?" So I won't receive the high return promised? . I had to read the meaning of all their cash-outs before a match ends, over and over again before I grasped the intent behind it. Okay, I waited for the other coupon I bought to generate the real reward. It contained over 8 matches. 3 won, 4 yet to play, and one showed 'X' meaning 'wrong assumption. Few minutes later, my betting company sent a message that I have lost my stake. This got me confused? Not all the matches have finished so I contacted the coupon seller, he didn't reply me then contacted the customer care team of my betting app and told me I selected too many matches to bet on as a beginner and the rule backing that category is if one match score is assumed wrongly, the whole stake will be lost😲🥴. So my stake + the coupon= 1500 that was what I lost. What if I had paid 15k for the coupon and staked 30k? Imagine such a loss in Nigeria of today. Later, one of the tipsters I contacted replied yesterday that he doesn't collect pre-payment of soccer betting codes but I will pay him 40% of what I win. This sounds too good to be true. Can Nigerians be this charitable? I am not comfortable with this. Will he send a dubious code that will clear my account balance or what is his implicit gain? I want seasoned betters to tell me if such contract is safe to agree on and 2. I think I need someone that will take me on a recorded video training to understand the terminologies of betting, reading statistical FORECASTS and how to navigate my betting app for best wins at an affordable cost. I will like to have a mentor and if his/her service charge is okay, no p. Thanks |
Okay thank you for your narrative. I am someone who hates watching football but right now traditional salaries are worthless! But I see people who bet with logic cashing out to clear their debts and pay house rent 🤷 so I decided to join 4weeks ago starting with 500 naira deposit. The terminologies are the main barrier so I tried to find a seasoned tipster who agreed I paid 1000 for two coupons. Out of ignorance, I saw 'auto cash-out' tab beside the confirmed bets of the codes and clicked on one leaving the other. This made the betting company return 96% of my bet and a page stated 'won/settled'. This is confusing. Who will teach me the fundamentals of betting I asked. As for the other, I lost the stake. How? The seller sold me an accumulator bet consisting of a total of 9matches and 3 predictions came out right, one was wrong and few minutes later, I received a message that I have lost my #100 naira stake when four others are yet to play live. Confused and angry, I decided to contact the seller and my betting company for enquires regarding this kind of betting arrangement and their customer care agent replied that 1) I betted on too many matches as a beginner 2) the rule of that betting category I subscribed to is that if I lose one match even though others are correct, then I lose the entire stake and I didn't insure it😳😦. Furious, I relayed this to the seller and till today has not replied. Now, I saw another tipster that posted free coupon that enabled me recover my money few days back with additional #200 naira extra (all three scores tallied with the assumed scores). He told me I need to pay for either 'correct score' or general soccer match However, a certain guy I randomly contacted told me that for his, he would send me the coupon and if I win, I take 60% while I send 40% to his bank account. Being a new participant, pls I want seasoned betters to advise me on such a contract? I feel Nigerians are not this nice. Is he a scammer or is legit? Why does he want to send free codes and to send his own share if the bet turns in my favour? 🙄🤷 And more importantly, do we have a dedicated seasoned bettor that understands the mechanics and essentials of betting as well as its terminologies? I am looking for someone that can teach me things like draw, combine, over/under, system betting, self-exclusion, handicap etc at an affordable rate. Thanks 🙏 Now there is |
In fact all the blockages you posted are mine too just because I don't have a visa card in Nigeria to make certain payments. I tried to open a number of virtual card accounts but the registration required a US home address and phone number which I didn't have. Another was for crypto deposits and payment so pls do you have an idea of this geegpay won't ask for a foreign residential address and foreign contact number cos the ones I tried to buy excluded Nigerians. I want the one that permits Nigerian home address & number. Thanks ! |

Hello Pls I would appreciate a clear valid reply here. I tried to call Lagos & Abuja TLS center but all their lines are not available for questions and answers. I have a cousin who was recently visited by our uncle and is a citizen of Italy. He is inviting her to know her relatives born and bred in Italy and to get to know his district approx. For 3weeks then return to Nigeria. However there is a problem: She lost her job 4years ago but works in her father's company for free. She only has 500-1million naira in her savings account. We want to know if skipping the employment section since it demands a taxable salary, leave letter, annual tax returns etc won't affect her application approval? Is 500k to 1m naira closing balance sufficient to show and if more money is transferred to her savings by her father or mother, will this not affect her statement of account history before document submission? In case her uncle volunteers to pay her flight fare cos he is hosting her in his house, is it still necessary she enlarges her closing balance? What is the recent proof of relationship ties required from an applicant? Looking forward to a prompt reply Thanks |
Hello Nairalanders, My place of residence has not been enjoying constant power supply. Since Buhari's second term, steady power supply is now history in my district. Right now, we only have electricity for only 2-3hours in a day and the output voltage fluctuates between 154-170volts. I want to enroll in a few tech skill programmes online and my data network comes strong from midnight to sometime before 8am. Before that time, either my phone battery is dead or that of my router. I am considering buying a solar kit that can power 2 laptops, 2 standing fans and 3 smart phone with a standard light bulb. I found a portable one that is sold for 240k. Now the problem I have is that I know two neighbors who are heavy users of Solar electricity. To my surprise, this year, one raised that our crescent should deliberate on buying a new transformer. The other has switched to a big petrol gen. Pls can someone who has used solar electricity for more than 3years (portable and gigantic battery type) tell me whether it is what buying or not and the reasons. Should I still go ahead to get the 250k solar generator and what kva/watts can power the above listed items including the good brands to go for? Thanks. |
Hello house I've got a question, can someone not related to you e.g a philanthropists or a friend or a family friend or church member stand as sponsor for maintenance fee Proof of Funds only to study in the UK if tuition is waived pls I need an urgent reply Thanks |
Hello team Seems the last reply here is 2020. Especially @Nobody or anyone else working legitimately as a teacher in SE Asia. Where are black west Africans recruited the most between 2022-23: Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia or Vietnam? How about China, South Korea, Japan or latin American countries. I learnt here that most of them largely prefer native English Speakers from First World but maybe recently, there are several others who have discovered the proficiency level of Nigerians and are giving us a chance to teach in their educational institutions (language centres, Primary/secondary are my target) I hope these Nigerians have not experienced extreme discrimination so far (slurs, physical violence or fabrication of lies to get them sacked and deported home or jailed (not those who are doing illegal activities) For someone who has not gained teaching experience, which of these countries gives us employment as an English teacher and what is the salary bracket for us in relation to cost of living before thinking to enrol in the TEFL course because it is costly now. Your candid advice will be highly appreciated As soon as possible Thanks! |
Pls I want to know if visa is really issued to study a Portuguese language course 6-8months duration from the embassy here in Nigeria and processing time? And can someone pls state when visa application portal or (is it for legalisation? )opens and closes and how you will know that there is now access cos I read people monitoring this. Anyone who has gone to study Portuguese language can shed more light on requirements as well thank you. |
Pls folks be clear on whether or not there is appointment date for job seeker visa and success rate One person comes here to say no appointment date for legalisation and visa documents submission & interview; Another comes to say: they are accepting applications since July. Giving unreliable reports on the current state of the job seeker visa application Who have tried between July and August and where did you submit your visa document requirements : in Abuja or VFS centre in Lagos ? What has been the success rate on this visa category Let us be clear on this. There is no money to waste this 2023 on futile travel dreams. Thank you for your understanding folks |
Hi folks. We've got a problem . I have a relative whose husband just had a masters admission to a university in Italy on scholarship. Though the university sent him the general requirements for visa applications if you are a Non_EU nationale but he was advised to still ask our Italian embassy for a detailed requirement list. My relative would be accompanying him as spouse. They called the VFS Lagos, sent several emails but no reply. She even contacted the Consulate at Abuja. However they told her that they only received the application documents sent to them from Lagos and since she and her husband would be submitting in Lagos , they should call Lagos embassy again . They called again today no reply and till today, the email has not been treated. Please if there is anyone that has travelled to Italy as a student and went along with their spouse to please state a detailed requirement list of what is needed by the spouse at the embassy . Many thanks |
Is their now appointment dates at the Lithuanian embassy at Abuja now? How long is the interval please? |
Pls I would like to ask how visa applicants go about this since our debit card is not working for foreign currency withdrawals. Do you explain to the embassy that our debit card is not serving such purpose any more or there is another type of debit card visa applicant present at the embassy pls indicate An excerpt from a visaguide website:- ........bank statement of the applicant for the last three months must be submitted along with a debit card, which may used for accessing these funds in the Czech Republic. 2. Can someone please tell if appointments are now issued for applicants to submit their documents for screening and interview (very crucial ) 3. What is the amount in Naira for the health insurance coverage and can someone please list the companies that can help with such service and are recognised by the embassy As for certified translation of appropriate documents for the visa processing, should this be done at the embassy or by any certified translator and if it is by the latter, how can you find one. Thanks |
Pls who has applied for Canada tourist visa and got it this year and what is the waiting period? Or which is quicker: tourist or conference ?☹️ |
@joemike what are you required to notarize and when did you apply for a programme? How long did you wait for a response? |
Pls I want someone with a good knowledge of France study visa precularities for nigerians should please answer these questions accordingly and clearly. Urgent! Can you apply for admission, get a visa by august this year or it's too late? 2. I read somewhere here that the financial sponsor has to show CAC document . No mention of submission of tax returns. Anyone who has been to the embassy between 2022 to present day should please say if truly no tax clearance certificate is required from your sponsor or from you if you say you are an employee or self-employed. 3. Can a sponsor with an inactive status on CAC website but has a strong personal account still stand as guarantor for study visa? 4. If no, rather , someone with an active CAC status must be your financial sponsor , can you then use a non-relative e.g. a volunteer from your church as your sponsor but has an active CAC status; will this be accepted ? 5. What is the success rate for France study visa between 2022 to present and when is the best time to start application? Thank you |
@femlek, Did you go as just as a listener or as a PhD researcher to attend the conference |
sorry Australia not ireland |
HELLO NAIRALANDERS, I would want honest advice for someone who already has a USA MSc degree with no solid work experience since 2015 but has a small start-up company in Nigeria and want to study again in Ireland, can he apply for Executive MBA or a professional Masters e.g Project Management? Can someone please say if he should apply for studies again. Can someone also please state here detailed study visa requirements for postgraduate visa applicants and since the person already has a USA MSc certificate since 2014, will he still need to present an English Language Proficiency Test score as part of visa requirement? Will he be exempted from such requirement? In addition, can he use a sponsor to support this study duration despite he is self-employed (no money in his current account) so, can he use a distant relative; must he show proof of ties with the sponsor and is it compulsory that the sponsor show land deed, tax certificate etc? And how should one pay tuition and accommodation from Nigeria considering the debit card and foreign transfer blockages from Nigerian banks? Do AUSSIE universities offer a no-deposit Master Programme and will this be recognised by the embassy if no tuition is paid until after arrival in Australia? Someone who has a knowledge of all these questions as of 2023 should please reply and looking forward to that. Thanks! |

Pls I need honest advice for someone who already has a Netherlands MSc degree with no solid work experience since 2015 but has a small start-up company in Nigeria and want to relocate to Canada, can he apply for a Postgraduate Diploma course and not have issues regarding visa grant? Cos he cannot pay for another MSc and would like to go for a programme without thesis since he already has acquired SUCH in Netherlands. He just needs a professional certificate but should be recognised by the Canadian embassy for visa. Can someone please say if he should apply for studies again and is it true that students who do not make an initial deposit for their tuition will be sent back home at Canada airport even if it is a no=deposit programme ? Can someone please post the new full requirements for study visa application if you want to self fund or use a sponsor? For example, will the sponsor have to provide evidence of landed property and tax certificate if he already has CAC document? If it is a limited liability company, will the sponsor have to show evidence of relationship ties with shareholders and attestation of birth certificate/ notarized relationship affidavit with the sponsor? If it is self-funded and you have your own company, but you have zero balance in the current account but money in your savings and will you have to show proof of former employment places that were listed in your CV before you set up your company etc? I am just reading different requirements requested here and there please I want one or two persons to please list the detailed requirements for Canada Postgraduate Study Visa (single person), Conference and Tourist visa (single person) as of 2023 so I know how to prepare the documents and which pathway to choose based on the availability of documents for any of the visa type. Thanks |
@josephB Thank you for your reply. Long term effect as in how please, That is why i came here to find out things i need to know so they do not encounter any problems. |
@ashirioluwa & @josephb Oh! Thank you for your honest replies. We are grateful for this direction. Okay now, for the guy who had an MSc from a top university in Netherlands, he has tried Canada EXPRESS ENTRY but to no desirable results for years so what should he apply for to enter Canada LEGITIMATELY & QUICKLY since work visa from Nigeria is almost impossible and also does not have family ties in Canada and not yet married: Should he apply for: a) Conference visa as a listener and his visa applications be approved b) or a professional MBA/ Executive MBA (is he eligible for this and can he choose a cheap one and not be denied a visa) c) Tourist visa 2) There is a couple who are planning to travel and want me to also throw their plight on this platform: Husband only has an undergraduate degree (BSc) from a Nigerian University; Wife had both BSc and MSc in the UK plus a discontinued MSc without thesis Programme in Turkey in 2019. In addition, the wife has a small family-owned start-up company whose services are mainly done online. They consulted with a travel agent. The husband wants to apply for a postgraduate diploma in Canada. Is he eligible to enroll for such degree type? This was suggested to him by the agent due to his sponsor's financial account. Then the agent suggested the wife to apply for a programme too in Canada because he claimed that she might not be given a visa to accompany her husband who is going to study. They do not know if their agent is only saying this to charge them more. They googled on their own and found that as a dependent, she could opt for Spousal Open Work Permit as a dependent travelling along. Pls is it true that if she goes for the Spousal visa, she will not be issued a visa and if you two are skeptical about someone with an MSc graduate opting for PGD. I dont think she should apply for an MSc programme as well. Pls your advice. Many thanks |
Hello to you all, Pls I need a piece of credible advice from those who have applied for visiting visa from Nigeria this 2023, With all honesty, I want to know if one will get the Canadian tourist visa within 3 months or what is the expected average time to get the visa {not what is stated on the embassy website but reality} What is the eligibility percentage of securing a visiting visa for someone with no family ties in Canada? What about Conference Visa? How easy do applicants get the visa from Nigeria and can it be easily converted to a work permit in Canada {this is for a friend} Last, who knows if truly Canada offers work visa to applicants from Nigeria. We all know our agents will not tell us the true picture of things just to extort money from their clients. Will offers be given for unskilled to skilled jobs and how long does it take to get a visa and what conditions should be met ? Then for someone who already has a Netherlands MSc degree with no solid work experience since 2015 but has a small start-up company in Nigeria and want to relocate to Canada, can he apply for a Postgraduate Diploma course and not have issues regarding visa grant? Cos he cannot pay for another MSc and would like to go for a programme without thesis since he already has acquired SUCH in Netherlands. Thanks! |
