Let's face it. If you are preparing to take IELTS, you probably are not scoring high in your practice as much as you would have loved to because you haven't mastered some question types such as true, false Not given, List of headings, and location of information in a paragraph, worse still, you can't finish a reading test within the 1-hour time frame. In addition, you don't know how to begin your task 1 academic writing nor do you know how to come up with ideas for your task 2 essay. These problems make you anxious, and you ask yourself? What exactly is my problem? One person tells you you need to practice more questions to get better, but the more you practice, the more you keep making similar mistakes. Another tells you that you should keep attempting the real test (i.e., blowing almost 300k) and that one day you will get lucky and get the score you desire But the real problem is elsewhere: You Don't Have a FORMULA. It has been proven by IELTS experts that relying on past questions or LUCK won't guarantee you success in the test. Rather having a tested and proven formula to tackle the question types would. But if you are like me, you don't want to spend hours testing and trying different strategies and formulas that don't work, right? Nor do you want to walk around in the dark wondering what to do to make the examiner give you a band 7.0 in your writing. But there is a solution. This solution helped my student achieve the 8,8,7,7, Canada Relocation requirement in the shortest possible time. The solution is, to have a proven formula that you can insert into the question types, and it pulls out the correct answer giving you your desired band score. Get a free webinar by Mr. Emmanuel that explains the proven formula you need to smash a band 8.0 by visiting https://joshdigitalhub.com/b8-0ieltsbp/ Thanks. Joshua Olutoke

Hello Nairalanders, A few days ago, I got a WhatsApp message that read: "Hi Mr. Joshua, can anyone really score above Band 7 in IELTS writing on their first attempt?" Let’s be real — many Nigerians speak good English, but when it comes to the IELTS writing test, even fluent speakers get humbled. 😩 If you’re planning to write IELTS soon, *please don’t “dash” them your money by repeating common mistakes*. Here are 3 major reasons why over 70% of Nigerian test-takers get stuck at Band 6.5 in writing: --- ❌ Mistake 1: Ignoring Task Requirements Even if your essay is full of “big grammar,” if you don’t fully respond to the task, it’s like pouring water into a basket — no reward. 👉 Always understand the question before you start writing. --- ❌ Mistake 2: Using Informal Language This is not Instagram or WhatsApp 😅. Avoid slang like gonna, wanna or shortcuts like don’t, isn’t. Write in full: - ❌ Don’t → ✅ Do not - ❌ Gonna → ✅ Going to This small change can make a huge difference in your score. --- ❌ Mistake 3: Repeating the Same Words Repeating one word too often? That’s a red flag. Learn how to use synonyms, paraphrasing, idioms, reference words, and more. These tools helped me and my students ace their writing tests. --- 💡 Applying these tips can help you break free from the “Band 6.5 cage” and move confidently to Band 7 and above. 🚀 Want to get your IELTS Writing to Band 7+ in one sitting? Having multiple sources of income in this modern and dynamic age is non-negotiable as the prices of things are increasing daily while most salaries are either stagnant or even reduced by the day. To add to this pain in the life of youths is the need to man up to our various responsibilities such as maintaining our standard of living, helping out our siblings and cousins financially, meeting up to the demands of other numerous financial obligations without defrauding anyone. My name is Michael, a young man living in one of the metropolitan cities of Lagos, Ikeja. I am privileged to study Mass Communications at one of the prestigious universities in Nigeria and graduated with Second Class Honors (Upper Division). During my days as an undergraduate, I put in all my efforts to study hard as I had the belief of putting in my best in all I do to get excellent results. Hmmm! Life happens. After my graduation, like every other youth, I was deployed to serve my father’s land, Nigeria. I was deployed to Gombe State where I also carried out my primary assignment with all diligence living on the monthly allowance from the Federal Government and zero allowance from the State I served. As much as I am not a spendthrift, I have a very small amount of money in my savings account as little is left after spending on necessary things like feeding, transportation, and data. Some months after this unforgettable period of my life, I got my discharge certificate on my Passing Out Parade (POP) day from my Local Government Inspector (LGI) with a wide grin of relief and hope of getting a lucrative job on having my discharge certificate (we all know that to get government jobs and to work in a well-paying organization in Nigeria, you must have your NYSC discharge certificate). As expected, I packed my belongings back to my family house in Agege, Lagos to settle down with them for the period I will get a job that will pay my bills but unfortunately good jobs were not forthcoming after several applications, some tests, and very few oral interviews which eventually did not yield the desired results. Then one day, out of the need to get my legal means of income I searched the internet for examples of lucrative jobs one can do to make money (while still searching for physical jobs) as a fresh graduate of Mass Communication. I saw so many options in the online space such as Freelancing, Copywriting, Graphics Design, Web Design, and Affiliate Marketing. I showed keen interest in Affiliate marketing and I tried surfing the internet and speaking with people who can guide me on how to go about it. Affiliate marketing has a way it helping one to combine these other various skills to earn much more than just one of the other skills at a time. Thanks to God, I grew in the business as I started making 25-50k per week even as a newbie in Affiliate marketing, and with time I increased my earnings. Time and necessity forced me to rent my own flat in one of the metropolitan areas (Ikeja) of Lagos State after six months in the business. As against the normal way of life my other flatmates are used to, I was looked upon as a weird guy because I was indoors with my pyjamas on most of the time. Where they had a problem mainly with me was the fact that I paid my bills (utility bills) even before they asked despite them not seeing me going to work as they did. Some thought I was from a wealthy family whose parents give weekly allowance. At the same time, others took me for a Yahoo boy because they sometimes see me in the cool of the evening typing with my laptop and speaking with some people on the phone in front of my flat while getting the evening breeze and also working as an Affiliate marketer. The truth is that none asked me what kind of business I am doing or why I am not working as they are among my flatmates except a fellow young guy about 25 years old. At a point, almost all of them became suspicious and hostile to me but you know what I was not moved. Little did they know that I earn as high as what most of them earn in three months combined in a week. At this stage, I have started earning as high as 250-300k per week. Then the narrative changed two months after the 25-year-old guy was introduced to Affiliate marketing. The guy told them what we were doing and they had a change of mindset as two other young flatmates became Affiliate marketers through us and are doing very well financially. They now understand that not everyone earning digitally is a Yahoo boy. I am not a YAHOO BOY! ________________________________________ Hey, I am Ayodele OLUTOKE. The above is for one of my friends who is also doing well as an Affiliate Marketer. He is now even earning as much as 900k per month at the comfort of his room. Who else wants to be earning in the comfort of his room through the use of his laptop and phone? I believe you won’t want to be an exception. This is an opportunity to step up your financial life and join this lucrative and highly rewarding business. I will be giving access to just 50 people to have access to one of the kind of video training Michael got that made his financial life improve by being an Affiliate marketer for FREE. All you need to do to get this video training of how Michael went about his financial transformation is to send a WhatsApp message (SECRET) to 0812 284 4087. See you on my WhatsApp DM.

“IELTS is simpler than you think; there is not much to prepare for in IELTS; once you are able to pass the secondary school English WAEC exam, you are good to sit for the IELTS." These were some of the lies we Nigerians told ourselves. Some even believe that because they are university graduates, they don’t need to prepare for it. After all, they were able to scale through tough university exams. To the surprise of this set of people, they are disappointed by how the simple questions asked humble them. In all honesty, I have been there. Sometimes in 2022, I attempted to take the IELTS for the first time. I prepared for it even though it was not solid enough to confront the almighty IELTS. On the D-day, I set out to my examination center at Ikeja, did the necessary sign-in, and thereafter was ushered in for my written test, comprising the writing, listening and reading sections. Starting with the reading section, due to my half-baked preparation, I was thrown off balance by some of the unexpected questions a few minutes into the exam. I was tempted to either put my head on the table or just hand out my script to the invigilator. Eventually, I struggled to pick some random answers in this section before moving to the listening section. The listening section was a bit more dramatic due to the British intonation; before I could process some of the statements and correlate them in selecting the right answer, the speaker would have moved far past where I am. At this point, I know that it will take a special divine intervention to get a band 7 in both sections. Then came the writing section. I was asked to analyze a graph. I hadn't practiced this before, so I wrote as if I were narrating a story. For the essay, I was asked to write on a topic centered on whether pupils should be punished at school or not for misbehaving. Even though I had strong opinions, I struggled to structure them logically within the word limit and was unable to infuse idioms and vocabulary. This gave me no chance to correct errors made in the course of writing. As expected after about 14 days, my result was released as L 6.5, R 7.5, W 6.0, S 7.0. Fast forward to 2024, I attempted to take the IELTS again after some rigorous preparations and studying. But this time around I may want to say luck smiled on me. This was also probably because I was able to prepare with the right study material and ensured that I put into practice the concepts learned in preparation for the exam. To my amazement, despite my fear of taking the computer-based test, I was able to get the highly coveted band 8.0 (L 8.0, R 7.5, W 7.5, S 8.0). Now I can scream Veni, vidi, vici (I came, I saw, I conquered). Claiming this success without acknowledging E & G Tutorial, whose study packed aided my preparations, is to neglect a debt of gratitude. Mr. Emmanuel Geoffrey, is the one who has not just helped me but has done the same for so many other students like me. His simplified study pack known as The No Stress Band 8 IELTS Program has been carefully crafted to offer you: - A clear roadmap, guiding you through the different sections of the IELTS exam (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking).
