I did my A-levels in school of preliminary studies, offa, Kwara state. Good place. Standard facilities and some good lecturers. Downside is they have a TERRIBLE exam record. My set had ONE person with 13 points. The others(including me) was really mediocre( what the hell, very poor). It is not about the teachers but the students. As for me, I got admitted after the Mock exam. So, I just got unenthusiastic. I flunk my exam, terribly. But the knowledge I gained was really helpful. Instead of re-hashing what you already know in O'levels, more topics are added and explained indepth. The physics is still hard tho

The cost is upwards of 100K excluding exams fees in my place. Apparently, inflation affect am too. It depends on the center you choose. Some will just let you do the exam without any prior coaching( very inadvisable). The school will handle your registration and all that AFTER you paid your exams fees.

There's no need to get a form or anything. Once you find a good school and you pass their Mock exams, they will register you for the exam. The next set any school will admit now is the NOV/DEC batch. Or january.

The exam is taken MAY/JUNE and NOV/ DEC. Its a bi-annual exam. Unlike WAEC or NECO, NOV/DEC is NOT GCE. Different questions are set for the two exams
The exams is usually objective, practical and theory. Theory is usually Short Answer Questions(SAQ). Precise and concise. Objective is tricky. Practical, well, is practical.

You may not do the exams if you like. I got in with JAMB, for instance. I regret doing the exams. Knowledge matters. But if you are really sure that you are capable of 13points AFTER the tutoring, then go for it.

One more thing, I m not saying you should go to my former A-level school. If you find somewhere closer to you, Ibadan and lagos, please DO IT THERE.

kinda similar to me too...while I was doing alevels i also did jamb and I got admitted before the alevels results came out...still processing admission to 200lvl tho....

Universities like ui,unilag and unilorin perform no post de exams

actually post utme exams are conducted in unilorin for D.E aspirants

Akby: The ball is actually in UI's court so they can play anytime they want. To you there are slow but to them they are very much on course cos the deadline for admission into all tertiary institution by JAMB is Oct 31st so they still have the whole time in d world to do their homework. Just relief yourself of the anxiety and let patience comes in. All this are delibrate using it to groom urs for the tasks ahead

Akby: From what I've been able to deduce, yesterday was actually a public holiday indicating that no one will be @ the ICT center to upload the names... Maybe UI never took took into cognisance the attachments of October 1st before jumping into conclusion of releasing it that same day. Ceteris Paribus it shall be pasted today

screan: We are using this medium to inform all the candidates who took part in the University of Ibadan 2012/2013 Post-UTME exercise and their scores are above 50 per cent, the University of Ibadan has successfully processed the 1st and 2nd choice supplementary and change of course lists and it has been forwarded to Abuja for approval.

We are therefore using this platform to inform all the prospective students of UI that the names of successful candidates would be displayed on the Institution website early next week, probably before 3rd October, 2012.

Prospective students who are admitted would be able to print-out their admission letters on the JAMB Portal when it become available.

Also, the admission list of successful UI Direct Entry candidate would be uploaded on the same date on University portal.

Akby: @jossy i think no admission status for DE applicants cos in my dept elect/elect only 5 students were admitted and they are all on distinctions. I and couple of guys wif distinctions have checked their status and it's still no admission yet. If u check the jamb website there is no link for DE applicants to check their status and moreover the reg no given to all DE applicants is quite different. It all started with 29 followed by the remaining digits. Ama chill chill cos my name was number 2 on d list but there were minor hiccups thats why I dont wanna guarantee myself yet of admission until it's pasted on their site

actually..jamb has only one admission status portal and its for both Jamb and D.E aspirants

Lagusta: My best moment was when I saw that our 500L result was out, and I passed, it was a big joy for me that I am now in final year....

I had two worst moments... I lost my mom in 2006, lost my dad in 2008, those nearly cost me my medical school, so I had to struggle to survive through the hectic hyperstuffilaemic environment!!!

I respect you...against all odds you are where you are today...you are a true inspiration to young students like me..
