Oop simply treats all your code as rep of an object while procedural treats them as a function. |
Make I congratulate too... <!Doctype html> <html> <head> <style> .baloon { padding: 10px; text-align: centre; margin: 50px auto; font: 16px sans-serif; background-color: rgba(0,128,0,0.5); color : rgb(255,255,255); width: 200px; height: 200px; border-radius: 200px; transition: transform 0.4s ease-in; -moz-transition: transform 0.4s ease-in-out; -webkit- transition: transform 0.4s ease-in-out; -ms-transition: transform 0.4s ease-in-out; } .baloon:hover { transform: translate(400px, 400px): -moz-transform: translate(400px, 400px): -webkit-transform: translate(400px, 400px): -ms-transform: translate(400px, 400px): } </style> </head> <body> <div class="baloon"> Happy birthday to you </div> </body> </html> |
Craigston:Syntax error: variable $rice_and_chicken undefined. Also, echo "we need our $rice_ and_chicken"; is wrong. You need to concatenate like this echo "we need our " . $rice_and_chicken; Am just catching fun with ya tho, just keep on learning and learning. Coding rocks. |
guru01:Lol, see marketing strategy. Pls tell us the difference. |
Craigston:I dn dey see syntax error already. |
Vicjustice:Ok, my bad. I am a ui/ux designer and front end coder. My advice is this. Get a good ui designer to help you do the web interface (the current one is so awful), then...get a kickass front-end developer to help you code the design made by the ui designer, then get the person who developed it to get the data ready for the front-ender. I tell ya, u will be amazed about what the end result will be. And to answer your question, I can work on a mobile site, but I prefer not too...I build responsive designs. |
Vicjustice:Oh, another very nice functionality but very very very poor design. Oga, you need at least 3 experts. A front ender, a ui/ux designer and urself (I am guesing you are a backender). This site would have been very very cool if you can take your time and plan every aspect of its design. We are in the user age now. If ur web product doesn't make the cut, people won't use it. And ppl don't use mobile site that often. Weare in the age of mobile apps or u make ur web app responsive. |
CreativeWeb:Lol, what a dush. Who cares. 419er wey dey pay 100k? Nice |
If you don't know much about design concept. Just spend little time on design and much on development. Design can wait. But...kudos bro, you will soon get the hang of things. |
ProfyJay:You welcome, but...are you saying you didn't intend to design for other viewports that are not desktop/pc? |
Its a template, there is no need for review. |
ProfyJay:You needed constructive criticism? I will give you that. If I were to be an informed client, I don't think I will wanna patronize you. Firstly, the typography is poor and not professional. Secondly, why float:left the icons. Center them. Thirdly, there is no consistency and heirachy in ur headings. Also, on a mobile viewport...I can't see your logo and I can't see a padding. Further more...in general. its a good effort but its nowhere near professional. I can help you though, send me a mail @ omeizaowuda@gmail.com and I will tell you how to make your design very cool. Fyi...I am not charging for anytin. Just wanna help. |
spikesC:How about you use a framework like cakephp (its oop though and you will have to know oop) or you take your time and learn ruby on rails. Furthermore, use a lot of functions in your code and apply DRY(don't repeat yourself) principle when you code. |
cbrass:Lol, ok...do that if you only plan on working with Nigerians. But, I feel that problem is that we settle for less here. Functionality is cool. But, its just gonna be a locally used web app (not even widely used in africa) if the design and ux is bad. I am a front end guy and I never regretted it for once. But it needs a lot of investment in design books (mostly hard-copies). |
Nice one...Just keep on designing. But don't get too comfortable with templates. If you want to really improve and amaze yourself. Rule 1: Don't use dreamweaver, it sucks. Rule 2: Try to code from scratch. probably with sublime text. Rule 3: If you love design, focus on front-end and if you love login and functionality, dn focus on backend. Rule 4: Lean photoshop and illustrator. They come in handy. Just learn and learn and learn... |
olyivy:Lol, let's break it down. Can you send me 3 of ur best websites and I will tell u what I mean. I am not saying u can't (my bad). But, your web dev is gonna be just good. I guess that what u want. You care about what brings money. |
josieboy55:What! In a country like naija? Lol. As cool as jobberman is. I see poor ux, poor front-end and that goes on for most of our cool sites. As long a poor website brings in cash. I know say naija ppl no care. Isn't that what u mean?. Anyway, I am a front-ender/designer and I have my hands full with projects (all u have to do is to be very good at designing and coding them to screen). If u can boast of ur design and present me with cool portfolio of ur work...I am willing to outsource some to u. I am happy they are nt from nigerian clients though or else, its all abt functionality. Fyi, I make cool cash...not bragging though. |
dhtml18:Lol, u got this all wrong. You can build a cool template from scratch. Its no biggy. But the point still remains that, front end dev is way more than just html, css. I expect any backender to be very conversant with html and css. But, you wouldn't wanna compare the work of a very good front-ender to that of a back-ender. Would u? |
Nmeri17:I weak o, its good for you to have a basic understanding of back-end if you are a front-ender and vice versa. But its better if you concentrate on one. Now a days, even js have cool backend frameworks like node.js. Also there is svg and others. Now I know why I see web apps with cool functionality bt the front-end makes me wanna cry and it discourages me frm using it. |
dhtml18:I am not saying it isn't. But, you are so going to be half baked if you can't really specialize. The web is more complex than you imagine. I guess that explains why I come across a lot of website that just doesn't cut it (design wise or functionality wise). |
I just wish we can all take our time and discover what we are good at. How can someone be a front and bac-kend developer at the same time? |
Hello, My Name is Omeiza. I am a designer/front-end web developer. I am in need of an internship position at lagos. If you have any creative design firm who are in need of an intern (paid and unpaid, I don't care). Pls let me know. Send me a message at omeizaowuda@gmail.com or visit omeizaowuda.com and drop a line. Thanks. |
@pureguide...Thanks so much, I corrected that. |
Thanks for the feedbacks. I will correct all errors accordingly. @danyl, its not bootstrap. I built it from scratch and managed my code with sass pre-processor. I use bootstrap only for prototyping. @nathan, I usually put my smooth scroll script at the footer (best practices and faster loading. @blueyedgeek, thanks, I hope u are good? Will fix all what you have mentioned and I am aware of the broken links. Also, its not everytime that you should care about the green mark there will be sometimes when w3c wouldn't matter. Will also gather all my work and provide more info and links about each of them. |

davidsmith8900:You sure want to eat your cake and have it. You wanna be rich overnight. Once again, goodluck bro |
davidsmith8900:Then good luck at making your cool app. |
charles009:I wish the lady is also reading this... |
I am not a dating expert, neither am I a novice. I have loved a lady like I should and probably disappointed some (so they say). The purpose of this post is this...why do ladies want it all? As you read this, note that...I am a big fan of the feminine gender. I am not a sexist. I am just a guy that observes. Here is the ultimate question...why will a lady date a guy, break up with her (no sex between them) and hook up with another guy. After having sex with the other guy and he broke up with her. She runs back to you (wanting to be your friend) and then tell you the whole story ending it with (well, I have learnt my lesson)? Not just that, why will a lady have constant sex with you enjoys it and say she only wants the sex and not a relationship only to get very pissed at you just my seeing you trying to date another lady? More...why will a lady say she wants so so kind of guy (which you are not, and she knows that) but cries her eyes out when you break up the relationship? Finally, why on this earth will a lady tell you she hate sex (This one amazes me). |
