Bi omode ba laso tagba, ko le ni akisa tagba (If a child has as man clothes as an elder, he cannot have as many rags as an elder)

Ba mi na omo mi, ko de ni olomo (Help me discipline my child, is not a heartfelt remark from the mother)

Oga ta, Oga o ta, owo alaru a pe (Whether the master sells or not, the servants wages are guaranteed)

Ikan ti a fi eyin ti, to o gba ni, to ba wo, ko le wo pani   (What we lean on for support that does not support one, when it falls cannot kill one)

Excuse the rusty translations  cheesy

HealthRe: Dysmenorrhea a.k.a Menstrual Pain or Cramps by omoade(f): 8:31pm On Nov 22, 2005
Best thing that worked for me was to start taking painkillers before the event so 2 days before I start taking Nurofen or extra strong paracetamol. Helps loads.

FamilyRe: Wife Beatings in Africa by omoade(f): 1:34pm On Nov 22, 2005
I started reading Seun's first post about the reponsibility being the females' with scepticism and then realised how right he was.

If we allow men to continue smacking us like it's their right and making us feel like we deserve it, then they will continue.

As my mum says, "The man who is going to beat me, has not been born yet!"
