Education / Is Jamb's New Registrar The Change Jamb Needs???? by Omoleisaacade1: 11:34pm On Aug 01, 2016 |
*RADAR NEWS NETWORK * ISHIAQ OLOYEDE IS NEW JAMB REGISTRAR: WILL HIS APPOINTMENT PUT THE AGENCY ON A RIGHT FOOTING AND RESTORE ITS STANDARDS. It is a known fact that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has the duty of conducting exams for admission seekers into the University and also releasing results. Likewise, it offers provisional admission to students. Over the years, JAMB has not really lived up to its standards in terms of its activities and cannot really be called a "Standard body" and Prof. OJERINDE has been Its registrar for a while now. However, JAMB now has a new Head in person of Prof. Oloyede(former VC of UNILORIN). The question is: *would he bring the desired change to the agency*?? http://radarnewsnetwork..com/2016/08/federal-government-fires-dibu-ojerinde.html?m=1 1 Like |
Education / #reopenallschools :NANCE Demands For Reopening Of Closed Tertiary Institutions by Omoleisaacade1: 4:04pm On Aug 01, 2016 |
*NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIAN CAMPUS EDITORS (NANCE)* E-mail: nanceaddress@gmail.com,campusediorsguild@gmail.com Twitter :@campuseditorsng Instagram:campuseditorsguild_Nigeria. Website :nanceonline.com Date: 31/07/2016. *PRESS RELEASE* #ReopenAllSchools: *DEMAND FOR THE REOPENING OF ALL TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS THAT ARE TEMPORARILY SHUT DOWN.* It is a rather disturbing scenario in our educational system for more than seven tertiary institutions to be shut down when there is no occurrence of general strike action by the teaching and non-teaching staff of institutions of higher learning. The closure of schools has more effects on the students than any other stakeholder in the tertiary education system. Notable amongst them is the prolonged stay of students in school thereby spending more years than necessary. This is totally unacceptable and we condemn this ugly trend in the strongest of terms. We feel the pains of Nigerian students whose schools are shut down at the moment for one reason or the other. In view of this, we hereby lend our voices in solidarity with millions of Nigerian Students calling for the outright reopening of all tertiary institutions on strike currently. We have facts stating that the following schools are under "lock and key": Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomosho; University of Nigeria, Enugu campus ; Delta state University; Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba ; All tertiary institutions in Ondo state, etc. To this end therefore, we hereby call on the appropriate quarters to expedite action in resolving the issues in these schools and ensure that they are reopened as soon as possible. Meanwhile, National Association of Nigerian Campus Editors has decided to start trending the hashtag *#ReopenAllSchools* on Twitter and other social media platforms. We urge all Nigerian Students, campus editors, campus journalists to publicize #ReopenAllSchools till we get our desired result. It is imperative to state categorically that "An injury to one is an injury to all." Hence, we besiege Nigerians to support this noble cause because our strength lies in our union. Let's get the social media awashed by supporting the closed schools in trending these hashtags: #ReopenLautech @ReopenLautech #ReopenDELSU #ReopenAAUA Don't forget to tweet, retweet and spread #ReopenAllSchools to all the nooks and crannies of Nigeria. May God bless us all. GOD BLESS NIGERIAN STUDENTS GOD BLESS NIGERIAN CAMPUS EDITORS GOD BLESS NIGERIA. Education / "Is This A Dawn Of A New Era" As Oau's Acting Vice-chancellor Inspects Works by Omoleisaacade1: 6:39pm On Jul 30, 2016 |
It is indeed something that has happened not too often on OAU campus in recent times for a Vice-chancellor to start the renovation works of structures in hostels and inspect them himself. The simple fact is that the current Acting vice-chancellor for OAU has begun renovation of certain structures in the school (hostels especially) in less than a week of his assumption of office. And it is quite amazing that he has been supervising and examining the level of progress of these renovation works himself. Today, he was spotted inspecting renovation works in Moremi and Awolowo halls of residence. It is quite obvious that from the activities of Prof. Elujoba Anthony that OAU is on the verge of reclaiming it's lost glory. The simple question is "is Prof. Elujoba the 'messiah' OAU has been looking for in recent years??" Source: http://radarnewsnetwork..com/2016/07/it-really-dawn-of-new-era-as-oau-acting.html?m=1
