Good day Guys, Please i need suggestions on schools I can apply to with this profile (Preferably those with proven funding) CGPA 4.35/5.00 (3.62/4.00), Mechanical Engineering GRE: Q-163, V-153 IELTS: 7.5/9.0 2 Years Engineering Work Experience and Leadership Experience too. Kindly note I am doing my research too, but i don't want to be blindsided on other good prospects too. Thank you Guys. |
We do see experience as something you can only get from companies. I know of fresh graduates with vast experience in one thing or the other just because they made themselves open to leadership roles, projects and teamwork back as an undergraduate. Therefore they make better candidates in job hunt. My advice is always be busy, even if it's a volunteer role, you never know where it will come handy. Trust me there were more than enough smart people in this recruitment process, so they had a wide range of talents to choose from. As regards FIRST CLASS , lol, no be by that, we should all know that by now. The process wasn't hijacked as I know of 2 Friends who knew no one before given the offer. You might think you are convincing but the panel was not convinced. My advice is to reflect, learn and be better, great opportunities ahead. To my friend opening a new milk producing plant, great, wish us all the very best |
Headmonbra:In total sir. |
The Medical Invite is in batches, about 15 - 20 would be called, so let's just relax, pray and let's see as things unfold. Also the only set of people called on Tuesday for availability are those working or engaged at the moment. So, if you told them you are available anytime don't expect any availability call; just expect a medical invite text message. All the best to us all. |
Amakyzuu:Please let us endeavour to be positive, no matter what. Negativity and Speculations wont do us any good. In any recruitment process, just do your best, pray and keep applying elsewhere. I have lost count of job disappointments, yet I never leave a process without learning something new. My first Interview with KPMG was hell, I doubted my brilliance and abilities, but I learnt a lot. Ever since, I am sure not the same person. Remember you attract what you think and say. God's Best to us all. |
Let me do this for the benefit of the upcoming batch. All the stages had been a result of Favor I must say, but hardwork is also needed. I will start form the 2nd stage, "Group Discussion", the secret to this is Vast Reading, Team Spirit, Confidence and Eloquence. Vast Reading- Ensure you know about the current world happenings, Transportation system, Fight in Syria, Political Tussle in America, Devaluation of Naira, Corruption Fight in Nigeria, Dwindling price of Crude oil, etc, the easiest way to go about this is to read online materials, BBC, CNN, Channels can help. You need to prepare this hard so that you will be able to contribute effectively no matter the topic you are given. Plus this will greatly increase your knowledge. Team Spirit: Always put the team first. A hint of a technique I used, I ensured I wrote all the points my other colleagues mentioned, ensured proper and fair timing for each colleague and before you know it I was the one coordinating the show. The examiner noticed my hard work to the group but made no comment. At the end of the day I was the one who gave the closing remark cos I had all points written down. But don't force anything, you don't have to be the leader just be actively involved. Confidence and Eloquence: You will agree with me that effective communication aids knowledge, ensure you sound smart and confident, cite examples to make it more interesting and assuring. By the way, keep praying for those of us awaiting medicals too oo, Enjoy. |
kokaneprodigy:So Sorry for the misconception, we will always have a reason to smile, Great news ahead, Goodnight all |
LWKMD, this @Kokaneprodigy mean business ooo. You must be a "Record/Fact Finding Executive Trainee"... Lolz |
Lol, Broda, it is well. Sorry if I annoyed you. We might end up being best pals, back to bizness tell Dangote to release the next batch before tomorrow morning else! Lolz |
@kokaneprodigy, "worked up"? , lol, do I sound stressed? Trust me I'm the last person to be. Plus your response would have been perfect if you didn't put the "forget about the recruitment" tag. Let's always imbibe constructive contribution. Lol, why would you even tell someone to forget about the recruitment? Because he asked a Question Lol The way I see it, you need to make use of your own advice, don't get worked up, as your reply shows some tension from your side. |
The question we should be asking: "Why is it in Batches"? As this will give us an idea on how soon the next batch will be. I'm looking at it from this angle, if it's in Batches due to medicals just so that we won't overcrowd their clinic, I believe the wait won't be long. But if it's because of training, it might not be as soon as the first scenario. Incase you can help enquire about this kindly do. Though I find it amusing that I haven't seen any mechanical graduate called up (maybe survivex sha). Congrats to those who have been called, it's my prayer that this is just the beginning of great things in your life. Amen. To those of us that will be called next, let's get ourselves ready. Success is ours. P. S.: Is there anybody called that only has a B. Sc. certificate? |
Please kindly specify your course if you received the invite |
Sometimes I wonder why people blame others for what's happening to them. Is eazichris part of the recruitment team? It's quite clear that Dangote is attending to Management Trainees at the moment, so why disturb yourself. You can't expect Eazichris to start saying what he isn't sure of, and to those asking about the interview questions, take your time to go over the thread from beginning to end, that's a little price to pay to bring yourself updated on the situation of things. Let's not pressure these people, else all you risk is loads of speculations on this thread. Let people come out voluntarily to give valid information and not mere speculation. Let's just stay hopeful, prayerful and all will work out for our Good. Those awaiting interview, just pray for favour , prepare very well, study your CV and build your self esteem /confidence. For example, immediately I entered the interview room, the interviewer said 'I like you already, just Impress me". We chatted, laughed and I ensure I asked them tangible questions. Not to mention I was the last to be interviewed, I must say God's favour and adequate preparation is the key, Success! |
The bottom line is, be it 1, 2 or 3 interview(s) you've had, we are all waiting for offer letters. My advice, Be not Afraid but Believe. Follow up on other dreams, apply for other jobs and when Dangote is ready they will get across. Happy Sunday! |
Every firm have their own policy, dangote from previous recruitment process that aren't as tough as this have always implemented the bond agreement. I'm not sure of shell, Haliburton etc so I won't delve into this. Moreover at the end of the day, we always have a choice to make, even without bond some people won't accept the offer. It's all based on individual choices. I wish us the very best in all our endeavours. |
I believe zoning had been in effect since day 1,we are at this stage not because we are the best, but we were favoured. To those who are hoping there won't be Bond / Agreement, let me say you are living in a Dreamland, cos a prodigious firm like dangote can never be that sloppy, spending millions on a candidate without a strict agreement, I doubt that. I look forward to meeting you guys, can't wait to work in a team, and catch fun too. I know it's going to be interesting and Imparting. I pray the Good God who have started this, perfect the end! Amen. |
