Wife( Spousal Open Work Permit) After three rejection from USA embassy under 6months, (the last rejection was on January 10th 2018)

Medical done February 21sth 2018 ( we did extra test because she is pregnant)

Passport request and aprroved on April 18th 2018 (2months after)
Passport collection today April 27th 2018 by the special grace of God.

Note: she just got employed this January 2018 with Lagos state local government commission and I never use the employment letter or her statement of account.

God is awesome, and we glorify his holy name for the success of this application after three rejection from USA embassy. Never give up my people...

I don't have the legal entitlement to make a decision for you. The both routes are good. You will have to select the one that suits you best and as the spirit guides you. As the saying goes "Different strokes for different folks".

How many weeks after enrollment is advisable to apply for sowp for spouse

Hi Tomiade, congrats on your approved trv. I think its wiser and smarter to apply after you are fully enrolled in school before submitting an application for your spouse. The probability of your spouse getting approved before your arrival is next to zero.

Also, I am sure if you try to read some 20 pages back, you would get to see documents submitted for SOWP.

How soon can I apply for sowp for my spouse once I get to Canada?

Please which one will you advise? Online or paper?

The moniker that was rejected is an online applicant. From recent findings, it happens to be that paper route applications seems faster to online route, which makes it easier for an applicant to know the fate of their application and as well quickly refire once refused. Paper route applications doesn't waste time in calling for medicals once an applicant has successfully submitted their application, this usually takes place 3-5 weeks after application submission. More so, Paper route applications are very fast in dishing out refusals, within the space of 3-4 weeks. Paper route takes a longer time on review of eligibility which can last for 2-8weeks after medicals has been called and updated as PASSED.
On the other hand, online applications appears very slow, and once review of eligibility starts it doesn't take much time for a decision to be made by the Visa officer, this happens within the space of 3hrs-48hrs. Finally, online applications are unpredictable due to the slow rate of processing. An applicant might stay up-to 10-12weeks and above in online route and still get a refusal. But such is very rare on paper route application.

The above are the recent happenings with study permit applications for both online and paper route.

I have my study permit approved and as at yesterday, my wife got her own SOWP approved too, but she is pregnant and to give birth very soon like 5weeks time. please what are the chances of traveling down to Canada without any problem at the POE? please i will appreciate any opinion from experience.

I have made plans for a 6moths Health Insurance in advance, securing accommodation ahead!

Please is it necessary I book an appointment for paper enroute submission
