Ijebu ode is the Ijebu capital, a major city. How can you compare Ekwulobia to Ijebu Ode of the Ijebus? If Abeokuta is littered with brown roof, who knows how d ijabu ode will be.... talk less and prove your point that Abeokuta is better than Ekwulobia....picturs speaks better... mind you..,ekwulobia city is not in any where close to Onitsha,....ekwulobia is close to Oko, which houses d Federal polytechnic... D influence of students from Oko make d city bubbling and hot.... Ekwulobia houses so many shopping mall, hotels and club houses... Please, use your google.. |

Travel › Re: 10 Most Urbanized States In Nigeria - Ovoko.com by omoyowa: 12:16pm On Nov 17, 2016 |
omofunaab: Lol, you don't have sense
We are talking about urbanization and not population
Anambra has just three major urban areas, Nnewi, onitsha, awka.
Ogun has abeokuta, Ota, ifo, mowe, ibafo, sagamu, ijebu ode, ilaro.
Ogun knew if they spread industries to most areas of the state and also provide infrastructures for them then it will stop migration to the capital.
In anambra's case, most of their industries aren't distributed , they are concentrated majorly in onitsha and Nnewi while awka is the administrative capital with just few industries
So ogun has more urban cities than anambra and thank God you have confirmed it yourself too that anambra has just three major cities you are still typing trash..... you are seriously comparing Ogun to anambra... mind you d industries in anambra are evenly distributed... Ogun industries are where they are because of proximity to Lagos, and not because of Ogun state government directive... Even d industries in Ogun state see themselves as more lagosian than been in Ogun... Mind you, the OP has said it all... You afonjas are bent on arguing trash.... Anambra has cities like ekwulobia, ihiala, otuocha, aguleri, umunze, okija etc.. Anambra is d only state in Nigeria after Lagos, that when you pass you will not know you have passed someone village..... D different between urban and rural areas is minutes.... And you know very well that d state is small.... Anambra has d 2nd population density after Lagos...this is not about d residential population but people visiting d state on daily bases... Anambra is highly urbanized, you can confirm that from d google... D Ogun state cities ,you mentioned are even rural considering d type of houses and settlement there..... Okija town host 3 private universit, but that does not make it highly urbanised... Ozubulu in anambra host numerous industries, but d workers live inside d industry residential quarters, and some lives at Nnewi.,that does not making ozubulu urban... Most of d places, you mentioned in Ogun are just farm settlement and also d yoruba nature of living in clusters... If not, what is d occupation of those dwellers.. we have farm settlement like igbariam, Anam, ogbaru, and co....but they are not regarded as urbanised area... Even Abeokuta, that you mentioned have 70% residents as farmers just like Ibadan.... So youngman, think before you argue.. Porthacourt international airport is in omagwa, but omagwa, but omagwa is still a rural area... 80% of d oil industry in porthacourt are located in onne ,but one is still rural.. IMO state airport is along aba road and d place is still rural.. So next time think properly before you type... D anambra state in general is not an agricultural state..it is a commercial and industrial state just like Lagos... it is d current governor that is introducing a mechanised agriculture in most agrarian community... Thanks |

lawani: I cant accept that Anambra has more business strength than Osun. What are they producing there? What is their GDP in Anambra. You cant just say Osun, Cross river, etc have very low business strength when all indicators say GDP per capita is higher in Osun than Anambra! Your notion is wrong. I can sit here and count people employed in Ilesa who are paid up to N2 million per month, maybe 20 people at least. How many in ANAMBRA? Just dont dismiss a state like that. Osun is richer than Anambra. What is Anambra producing? What is the GDP? take a look at this https://www.nairaland.com/3468209/why-anambra-state-sustainable |
