TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part2 by onedebos: 9:23pm On Dec 20, 2013
mrkossy: first off did you apply through an agent or did you apply directly by your self? if you did apply through an agent let him/her know ASAP (thats if you haven't told them.) they should be able to write the school so that they will provide you with another cas. you cant use one cas twice. if they provide you with a new cas. it would be better if you make another application than to appeal against it cos it takes up to 28 days to review and time isw something you haven't got.

p.s did your sponsors bank statement reach the required amount?
As Mrkossy said your best bet is to contact the school. If you applied via an agent tell them to contact the school, if you applied yourself send them an e-mail immediately and scan to them a copy of the refusal notice. They'd re-issue you a new cas. The school would let you know the best step to take as regards appealing or re-applying. Do note aswell that if you reapply, you'd need to pay the visa application fees again.

If you do reapply, if you're yet to pay your school fees ensure you have the equivalent of your fees in naira + 2m as living costs and keep it there for 28days. If your sponsor wants to use the account for daily transactions, then you should have way more than that so that for those 28days, the money in the account doesn't drop below what's needed for your expenses.

Furthermore, you can tell your sponsor to transfer the money into your own account so that he doesn't mistakenly touch it.

You sef must not touch am even after 28days has come and you've sent your application in to the embassy because the embassy would still run checks on the account.

Hope that helped.

This is just to inform those admitted on the basis of thier igcse or a-levels result that thier result authentication is to be done at british council rather than ministry of education.

wip7: Thanks for your suggestion, i think i will inform EMU if they can do same.........for now am not actually running charity but i have decided to employ graduates and the factory in full operation will employ 300-500 workers. I have decided to give out from my own money to assist talented and hardworking students. I have come up with the ideas that these benefits will be centered on people that apply via WIP. 3 students were given brand new laptops from WIP last semester ( you can meet them when you arrive at EMU). The money comes from my WIP pocket not EMU... if you apply directly to EMU you should expect EMU to do same for you... as a talented incoming student you can also table this before the BOD of EMU...... dont forget we have bunch of agents that ripped OFF students money and do they give them anything back ?? no no.....i do everything free for the student and still giving them a rare benefits hmmmmmmmm thank me young man!!!
Alright I get the picture now. I for don apply through you if for say I know.
I'd like to use this medium to garner support from fellow incoming students who didn't apply through wip, let's have It mind to meet the EMU BOD when we arrive to see if we can push for fringe benefits for Nigerian students especially.

Mr.wip really should come and camapaign for governorship back home. How many individuals are taking money out of their personal pockets today to give to young people when its clear that they won't be getting anything in return?

wip7: WIP scholarship

ONLY 3 students will be selected for 50% following semester tuition fees. WIP will offer 3 students scholarship based on merit.

Details: student must be admitted by WIP
CGPA: 3.7 above
application: minimum of 5 pages innovative ideas on how you can contribute to the growth of your country either by establish small scale industry or offering sustainable services. Ideas must be genuine, void of plagiarism, must be realistic and must stress on self-employment.
After June 2014, just send me your full name and student number if you qualify and other details will be given to you and you will receive your cheque if selected.
Mr.Wip naaa. You are not encouraging us to be independent. Pls open up some of these your initiatives to students who have taken the time to do the run around and the application for themselves. I'm sure there're some great students out there and it'd be of great mutual benefit if your scheme is opened up to accomodate a little more people than those within your sphere.

Pls consider.

Dear EMU registrar,
Pls employ more people to your helpdesk. I can't understand why an institution of such size and quality would take so long and in nost cases never reply to emails from prospective students. You guys are loosing $$$$$ ooo.

Maybe Mr.wip can help us tell them. I think they should employ students on a shift-basis to deal with all the emails that come in. It would really help step us EMU's reputation.

Ilodigweudoka: thanks... so you mean i should forget about certificate of incoporation/employment letter? sorry to ask, do you intend leaving that out or have you gone already? experienced folks pls clear me on this.
If you go through the stated requirements on the Turkish embassy website for student visa, it doesn't mention employment letter. So I doubt its necessity.

though this is hearsay - a couple of agents have said that these documents(certificate of incorporation and tax clearance card) is only for when the student is using a company account.

And Although I haven't been there yet, I believe the consular would look at the main documents especially the bank statement and wouldn't pay attention to employment letter etc as long as they see evidence of fees paid and the confirmation letter from the school.

Its just a transit visa to be honest, it shouldn't be much of a problem in getting.

Do remember that not all the documents listed are required of TRNC student but would be required from those heading off to Turkey to study there.

To be on the safe side even though I believe strongly you wouldn't have a problem even without it, you can take along the employment letter if you can lay your hands on it.

But don't fret over it.

btplotter101: Mr wip7: I want to know if EMU have started sending Names to embassy for the spring semester..
before i go on to answer this question,i just want to point out to you that if you had taken just 7mins to read pg129 and 130 you'd have seen the answer to your question. We are trying to make this thread progressive whereby answers are provided to novel questions only.

Ans: the names of those who have recieved confirmation letter has been sent to the embassy in Abuja and the consular should be in receipt of the names this week.
Mr.wip cannot and will not tell you whether on nl,email or otherwise if your name is on the list due to existing internal protocols except perharps in cases where the student applied through him.
You're adviced to contact the registrar to get the lowdown on the including of your name. Now my brother, contacting the registrar is another wahala as they never seem to reply.

Hope that answers your question!

Ilodigweudoka: pls BABA WIP, penroll55 and other wise Nlanders, one of the requirements to present to the embassy is certificate of incoporation. what if my sponsor is a salary earner and has no business. should that be replaced with an employment letter?
I don't think that'd be necessary. Once the bank statement is present, you're good to go.
TravelRe: North Cyprus by onedebos: 9:09pm On Dec 14, 2013
See Mr.wip is selective about the emails he replies to whether or not it pertains to questions he has previously answered. I suppose he is constantly bombarded with irrelevant emails and this has somehow influenced and caused a reduction in the frequency and tenacity of his responses.

For example I'm still awaiting a response from him as regards how one can be sure his/her name is in the first batch of names to be sent to the embassy. He is yet to get back to me on this.

I know some might quote his previous thread on the issuance of confirmation letters and the subsequent forwarding of those names to the embassy but if you carefully peruse that particular post, you'd notice that the information pertained to those students he applied for and not for students who took the iniative to proceed with the application themselves.

Mr.wip, I highly commend you for the great help you've offered to various students on this thread and the intuitiveness of your responses. I do ask that you kindly take time to reply to certain messages like mine which are mature, important and necessary. I believe at times, due to your vast experience in academia and your qualifications, your definition of what constitutes an IRRELEVANT or IMMATURE email or question will differ greatly from what a young man like myself would define as one.

Uche27: Pls I want to ask which part of Cyprus is better and are they in EU,( if so na Shegen Visa) and can one b studying and togther working, if Yes how sure is it to get a Job?
The two Cyprus' are in Europe only that south Cyprus is under the eu and the North isn't. Do note that south Cyprus although in the EU isn't a schengen country.

we do expect the North to join the EU anytime within the next couple of months or years depending on how soon both sides can reach An agreement on power sharing, governance etc. I'm quite certain the Turkish government would also push for this to happen quickly as their illegal occupation of North Cyprus is the only impediment to them being accepted as a EU member state.

in terms of jobs, the south is said to have more to offer than the North although there are no job guarantees on either side of the island. To be quite honest with you, if you are traveling to any country for studies, it's extremely dangerous to expect to get a job to survive, better ensure your sponsor is capable.

finally combining work, assuming you get one, and studies depends entirely on the individual and usually your course load. I've a friend in KSU in the US who is always busy with school work that working is practically impossible.

As baba wip7 would say abroad is not a place where euros dey flow for road. I've seen that first hand.

plan yourself well before you go make youu no get stranded for there oo. Deportation is real!

Read this excerpt!
in a recent
study, the International Red Cross
declared that “whilst other continents
successfully reduce poverty, Europe adds to it,”
before noting that the future for the EU was
likely one of mass-exodus and grinding poverty.
Across the pond, around half of all Americans
now live in or within a couple of paychecks of
poverty, and this downward trend shows no
sign of reversing .
