Stop the blame game. This particular incident happened in Imo state and it has been confirmed severally from the folks on the ground. Stop blaming Seun, he has done nothing wrong. His only offence is that he is warning people about the danger in Imo state which to me and many other well meaning members it is a good warning to some of us that eat out. This is more or less a travel alert. If you must travel to imo state for any assignment avoid eating anywhere in the state, carry you own food with you. Ikwokrikwo: Seun, why will you allow your site to be used for the purpose of tarnishing the image and destroying the business of an innocent person? Any sensible person that reads this story can easily tell that is is concorted for a particular purpose, why are you and your moderators so irredemably useless? You are courting trouble and will get it one day, one day. Note: that rubbish you wrote at the bottom of the page won't save you because you are the one that brought this shyte story to the front page and gave it publicity. |

It can only be imo state. That aside the population of the state is over 75% prostitutes. That why you can hardly find any sane person raising a family in Owerre. |

I think u should direct ur anger to the clown called abagworo. He was the one that started all these even the recent comparison of Obi and okorosha. Go back into this thread. What I can promise u guys is that I will always be here to respond to any jab with respect to that. If this thread was purely focused on imo affairs without drawing fire by constantly throwing jabs to other states then nobody will be here to insult you people. Nature129: I still remember vividly that the title of this thread is "Few Pics From Imo State." But I keep wondering why you guys are having all these irrelevant arguments. I thought that this thread was about pics from Imo State, talks about opportunities, virtues and how to make Imo better, but you guys are often comparing Imo Vs Anambra, Igbo Vs Ikwerre now it's Rochas Vs Obi. Let's stay on the subject, if you guys wish to start an argument, create a thread for it, pls. Most people who visit the thread come to view pics as the title depicts and not some senseless and irrelevant comparisons. Go to Enugu thread and see how they extol the virtues of Enugu in pictures - this is what we should be doing here.
Thank you |

Abagworo: Imo You have more work to do here than looking elsewhere.. Some local contractors in Imo State have appealed to the Imo State Government to pay up the debt owed to them after executing some contracts for the state government ranging from road construction, building to supply of materials.
Addressing journalist during a peaceful protest within Owerri, the Imo State capital, the aggrieved contractors who organized themselves under the umbrella of Unpaid Imo Contractors said the money which is accrued to about N20 billion since 2011 has brought untold hardship on members of the association, adding that some members have also lost their lives in a bid to pay up their bank debts.
They appealed to the state government to as a matter of urgency pay up these debts so as to allow them clear most of their bank debts and also attend to the needs of their immediate families having executed their different projects.
Meanwhile, all efforts to speak to the Accountant General of Imo State, Stella Udogu and the Commissioner for Finance, Ikechukwu Njoku, whom the contractors accused of non-performance and deceit, proved abortive as all the attempt to get their own side of the story was turned down.
http://www.channelstv.com/2015/02/09/imo-local-contractors-protest-non-payment-of-contract-sum/ Here.. Is either Okorosha is lying or the contractors are. Where are the so called projects they executed? Local contractors in Imo State under the umbrella of Unpaid Imo Contractors have taken a new dimension in their protest by conducting special prayer sessions on major streets within Owerri the State capital, in a bid to press down their demands from the State government.
They complained that most of their members had suffered untold hardship over the years due to unpaid contract sum of projects executed for the State government.
However, in a quick response, the Imo State Government had maintained that the claims by the group was malicious and politically motivated because the State government was not owing any contractor and if they their claims were true, they should come up with documents to prove their claims.
This is the second time in 3 weeks that this group of local contractors in the state would be taking to the streets of Owerri in a peaceful protest calling on the State government to pay them for jobs executed in the State.
This time around the protest took another dimension as the group gathered on major streets in Owerri to hold a special prayer session.
While speaking to Channels Television, members of the group however, expressed regret over what they described as neglect and marginalization by the government on the part of contractors in the State who had executed various jobs but have not been paid by the State government.
However, the state government described these claims as malicious and a smear campaign against the Okorocha led administration who has done well in developing the State.
The state government called the group for a meeting at the Heroes Square in presence of the Local Government Officers in charge of projects, Commissioner of Police and other security operatives in a bid to find solution to the lingering issue.
While addressing the gathering, the Chief of Staff to the Imo State governor, Sir Jude Ejiogu, who represented the Governor, said the contractors should submit their documents for verification but Mr Udogadi Ononiwu, the chairman of the Unpaid Imo Contractors declined.
The meeting however, turned into a rowdy session as arguments lingered. It took the intervention of representatives from the Commissioner of Police to calm the situation down.
Both parties finally agreed to reschedule in 4 days time after the contract documents have been verified by the State government.

A-bag-of-gworo stop deceiving yourself just to feel better whenever you run out of your pills. Anambra has over five stadia both private and public, and all of them are by far better than the useless and substandard one your useless state has in useless owerre. Even FIFA is building another world class stadium in Anambra. FIFA, Anambra Govt. builds international stadium
The Anambra State Government has concluded arrangements with world football governing body, FIFA, to build an international standard football stadium to boost the game’s development in the South-East. The project is part of the ongoing FIFA Goal Project in the country, which is meant to re-enforce the development of football in rural communities. The Anambra State Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Dr. Edozie Aroh, gave the information to the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Ogidi near Onitsha on Friday. Aroh said the government had provided a large expanse of land in Ogidi in Idemili North Council Area for the project, adding that the land was previously used by footballers for training. “We have got approval from the state government to site an international stadium here in collaboration with FIFA through the FIFA Goal Project. “So, soon it will come to be. We already have existing provisions, existing land which belongs to the government and which we are going to convert for the project,” he said. The commissioner said that Ogidi was chosen because of its central location and proximity to abundant human resources as well as a good transport network. “It is accessible to people who are needed for the project by virtue of its proximity to populous towns and cities like Nkpor, Okpoko, Awkuzu, Oba, Onitsha, Awka, Nnewi and Asaba. “Anytime it is completed and programmes are taking place there, we expect that a lot of people will attend from within and outside the country,” he added. Aroh said the state government was keen about the project and was following it up with FIFA. In his contribution, the Chairman, Transition Committee of Idemili North Council, Ralph Nnabuife, lauded FIFA and the government for locating the project in Ogidi. “It will help us a lot to contain vices among youths as well as create jobs and commerce opportunities in the council area for traders and crafts men and women. “As you know, football today is a big profession that has huge financial benefits, and we believe our youths will take advantage of the project to better their lives,” he said.http://www.punchng.com/news/fifa-anambra-govt-to-build-international-stadium/ |
