The Bini and Igala kingdoms placed a human tax on the Igbo provinces which they were meant to supply at a set future date.

Those people blaming the British Empire and the whites in general should hide their heads in shame. When your forefathers were busy selling and exchanging human beings for small things like combs, mirrors, dry gin, gunpowder and the rest, they didn't know their children would one day curse them.
