Shouldn't Islam just be outlawed? |
Karlman:Ehn? What are you saying? Who is Hamas? A lady that carries Hermes bag? Anyways, to the victor goes the victory. The govt of Israel should do better. |
Atheistan:All is fair in love and war. What has the Israeli govt been doing about it? Waiting for Trump? And the Israelis too, Trump is their placeholder-messiah. No principles or shame or class in war. War is meant to be brutal, and only the victor has the victory. |
What was the murderer's motive? To steal his friend's motorcycle or what? |
hartson:Ah, there should have been a comma. I just typed it as I said it. |
mightyhaze:So they'd be flying and flying without plenty food to survive and procreate the next swarms? Also, they'd be flying and have no place to habitat? Use your head. If house is clean, no food leftovers, there'd be hardly any roaches. Similarly, if a non-close-to-forest street is clean and garbages are not dumbed outside to the streets, there'd hardly be rats. Use your head. |
teejoyz:Don't mind those people. "EU is a collection of jokes" indeed. There's Italy, there's Netherlands, there's Norway**, Switzerland**, etc. How many countries in Asia can measure up to either of them? Is there any country in Africa that measures up to the small Netherlands? |
SpatialKing:Europe doesn't want to turn their continent to a warzone, and neither do they inherently want to fight Russia, only wants to weaken it and put it in its place. Russia's invasion to Ukraine gave them a proxy to weaken Russia, that's all. |
Judolisco:Exactly. We even need to do away with too many US-related news. What's anyone's business any longer? |
😅 Madness, unhinged. |
mightyhaze:Where do you live? How come you have a lot of insects in your neighborhood? You live in the North? There are open defecation in far yet near places? Your neighborhood is close to a major road and there's large open gutters drainage there, hence the tincan filling flies? I had been to Sokoto a number of times, and I see houseflies, very many of them flying around, even perching on people's tea cups at the streetside restaurants. They wave the diseases carrying houseflies aside and drink their tea. I had stayed at hotels close to major roads and expressways in the Southwest (Ibadan, and Ogun state), going outdoor at night, the mosquitoes were numerous, as there were large water gutters there. Bottomline: Lots of flies are connected to the environment, and since most inhabited environments are controlled by humans, many flies are human activities' doing. |
Komu1048:Almost every lady in the North and in Sahel West African countries wear hijab, be they Muslim or not, they are often forced to. Before forcing them to wear hijab, were they tested of their holiness? Free hijab wearers. Criminals wear hijabs too. |
tonididdy:I'm not justifying or defending or being exactly pro the herbalist, but there's a great chance that the herbalist 'know' that for the ritual he requested, the death of a child is the price. And further, he might had seen that should he reject the 23-yr old's wishes, he'd go to another herbalist who may be so malicious and actually carry out the said ritual. --- Some actually, rather than rejecting "lie" to the divinee that their supposed wealth is coming, should be very patient and so many tricks like that to prevent them from seeking other herbalists, one of whom may let them dead somebody. --- So, the herbalist might had tricked him, wanted him not to go another herbalist, and then fished him out rather than letting him roam away free and seek desperately other herbalists who may be willing to assist him to meet the demands of devils behind the money rituals. There are different types of herbalists, by the way. Maybe he had met with a normal Ifa priest or a decent adahunse. |
So because they are wearing hijab, they cannot steal again? Hijab is a form of dressing. Criminals wear hijab. |
LegendHero: dlaw70: Omoawoke:Leramo is a Yoruba last name. Akoko of Ondo state to be exact. Perhaps Ikaram-Akoko, but at least, one of the Akoko's. And note: so many names in the non-Ibadan-similar-dialects speaking parts of Akoko seem non-Yoruba, but are Yoruba. "Leramo" is Yoruba. |
jaxxy:Voting alone isn't the issue. There's a subtle thing in society that makes people to act correctly. Take the small example of the large effect of "what people would say". Humans are social and if they are aware there'd be societal wide condemnation, body languages, they'd tread carefully. Instead, politicians have fans. And voting? Voting is even like a push for them to continue. Checking the presidential ballot of 2023, is there anyone actually suitable to be voted for? Absolutely none. All of them have histories of corruption, terrible leadership and whatnot. But guess the actions of Nigerians? They support A against B, support B against C. Support none! And collectively condemn them, accept none and rally for overhaul of the political parties and processes that produce terrible personas on the ballots. |
Nope, Nigerians do not. They love illegality, unlawfulness, disorderliness and color it along the lines of "he's an elder", "he's a respectable lecturer [the unizik lady comes to mind]", "it's affecting people's businesses", "billions of dollars has been lost from the govt developmental project", "northern agenda", "muslim-muslim". Nigerians hardly collectively criticize lawlessness and lack of order, but would jump at any opportunity to collectively seek the downfall of a vulnerable person [the unizik lady illegally acted upon comes to mind]. |
chijiokecosmos:But they are part of Biafra. |
Nigeria is like a jungle, and the political leaders seem to like it that way. |
tonididdy:Most herbalists say human sacrifice are not exactly needed for the supposed money rituals, but the devils behind it ask for humans because the devils want the desperate ritualistic to actually murder another person, wants them to commit evil and become condemned for it. There's a great chance the babalawo in this case included "bring a child to kill" specifically to fish out the 23-year old's evil and desperation, and expose him. |
Trump effect. Signalling Israelis to go on on attack. The Floridan man should be tried and prosecuted accordingly. Intent to homicide is unlawful. |
Ishilove:So I have to be related to her before I show concern for her? This statement of yours just confirms majority of y'all are selfish and promote wickedness. I have to be related to her before I am concerned? So you are related to the abusive lecturer that's the reason you were hailing him, or you just love wickedness and never skip to promote it? Which is it? |
RIP to the trusting lady. May her soul be at solace. Imagine if this lady had fought with the man, bit his arm while he was maybe trying to drag her to hurt, to harm, Nigerians, most of them on Nairaland would have said "she's rude, assaulting a highly respected religious cleric, typical genZ", and the league of Alfa's may have given the Alfa an award for his calm. The case of the unizik lady whose hands were held tightly by an overpowering man and had threatened her with his position is that example. Anyone, defend yourself at all times. That a person smiles, or is an elder, or a young innocent woman, or a small boy, or anyone, keep your wake always, and remember, satan was said to be 'beautiful-looking'. |
Rating:Hold your political leaders responsible? No! Not solely, not like that. Hold every citizens, every Northerner responsible. While the security outfits may be trying to dismantle the terrorists, it is the same citizens supposing being terrorized, in the North, that shield them, fail to give them up, and so on, maybe because they are brothers or were neighbors. Similarly in the South East. Your political leaders are unable to do it all, nor are the small number of security outfits able to do it all (while your Northern terrorists acquire foreign highly sophisticated weapons the Nigerian military don't even have access to yet due to the country producing not selling to Nigeria, but somehow the terrorists have the foreign weapons), it takes collective efforts of the citizens, especially those affected to cooperative with the government rather than being docile or shielding them also because they collectively hate the FG, and deal to end the terrorists menace. |
Blazebond:Russia is their enemy. Has been their enemy for centuries. The history of rest of Europe with Russia had always been friend today - enemy tomorrow, and like that. Russia had intermittently been the bully of the rest of Europe and the Europeans know their history. |
Warmaterial:Thank you. I still don't understand the reason the super influential and great Germany (though still devilishly terrible) is just there, letting themselves and the entire Europe have US as their string leader. Maybe because of the war. |
gohf:Gd hardened the heart of Pharaoh in the onset to let him and his nation pay for their sins against Israelites. I believe the bible detailed it that they'd get plagues so the participants would see signs or something. You could say that Gd exactly wanted to use Egypt and its Pharaoh as example, and wanted it to be in stages. So, should stage 1, Pharaoh then repents and lets the people of Israel go? From the book, Gd didn't want that, and wanted Pharaoh and Egypt to get all their punishments, hence hardening his heart not to repent and Gd then saying "oh, the Pharaoh had repented, now there's need for mercy/let the Egyptians not pay for their harms". Gd is tough, yet merciful like you said. Gd: "Pharaoh, let my people go" Pharaoh: "No" Gd: "Pharoah, let my people go" Pharoah: "No!" Gd: "Pharoah, let my people go" Pharaoh: "No! My magicians are the finest tricksters" Gd: "Pharaoh, I'm coming for you in 10 stages, and no one would save you!" |
richmond500:If you say the biblical Gd doesn't exist, that's ok actually, as you have right to own opinion/findings. However, Gd exists not because of whatever, but the books written to detail their physical/realistic encounters say Gd does. I'd say "djinns", 'irumales', 'eboras' and so on exist because many hunters, many forest dwellers said they did, and I doubt all of them would be lying. Assuming details of covid-19 was written down, and the history is passed orally to generations ahead, then, 1000 years after, someone saying is a lie is weirdness. The bible, old testament is mostly history, books of prophesies by prophets and some else. And the styles they are written show which is which. I affirm historical evidences, and both oral and written histories, personally, and that's the Gd exists for me. I don't mean to impose on you, so, please, do whatsoever you find appealing. There's freewill and freedom! |
gohf:That was a dream, not reality. Satan is the deceiver, the figure of all shades of bad, and the prophet was dreaming. Reality -- a prophet saying "Gd told him that Gd did speak with satan, meet satan or so". That's reality. Or Gd with Elijah, with Adam and Eve, or as with Moses them, and then satan in some historical flesh or body physical. That also is reality. The prophet you mentioned had a dream and was Satan, the figure featured in the dream for ease of understanding. |
richmond500:Hey you, once again, don't "hate" Gd. .. |
richmond500:The book of Job isn't reality. It was the thought-up or fantasy of someone to teach people against something. Like a folktale (if you're Yoruba for example, I could say like a thought-up story of Ijapa to teach people/children against certain acts). The reason it was then compiled into the bible/Torah and so on, I find rather mischievous. It is neither history, prophecy or poetry or wisdom, it is fantasy. A thought-up work of some, and Job wasn't exactly real but fictitious. I think I learnt that. So, Gd and the villainous figure of fantasy didn't meet or so. And the use of satan, snake, etc. in the bible could just be synonymous to "the deceiver". Any deceiver. A friend that deceives one to be disobedient to Gd, to one's father, to the law, to the authority.. any deceiver in short. Personally, I doubt Gd had any such interaction with the deceiver as no book of record said so (except the thought-up book of Job) and people's delusional stories. So, don't be dismayed by the book of Job, dear you, or let the mischief intended with the compilation of the book of Job with the old testament weary you. |
gohf:For what reason are you guys even mixing Gd and jesus together? Treat Gd separately, and treat the claims of jesus and his disciples separately. |
