Monday, 15 August 2016 Economic woes: Hunger is now the National Anthem Hunger now the National Anthem! *High cost of goods persists *Market women lament low patronage and scarcity of funds *The Naira continues to be worthless ONITSHA - Nigerians has continued to witness a high cost of goods ranging from cosmetics', provisions, foodstuffs as well as fairly used clothes popularly called Okirika. When BushFm visited a cross section of Nigeria markets, the story was almost the same everywhere. The popular Ose market in Onitsha and Ogbe-Ogonogo market in Asaba was the first point of call. At Ose market in Onitsha, you could notice the displeasure in the eyes of the market men and women as the sit idly waiting for a never-coming customer. While some erroneously believes that the 'bad market' was peculiar only to the markets in the entire zone, as a result of the Federal Governments alleged disdain and skewed economic policy implementation against the zone, others say the Federal Government led by Mr Buhari is just being plain wicked against the masses. Mrs Angela a plastics seller was very emphatic when she said the country is no longer working, and everything is in a standstill now. "if you look around you will see that nothing is working again in this country, and everything is in a standstill now. Things are even getting worst everyday, nobody is coming to buy plastic anymore, instead they rather repair their broken plastic than buy new ones. 'Can you imagine? I have been sitting down here since morning without selling anything, unlike before when I used to make between Six thousand and Eight thousand Naira daily'. My dear... there is hunger in the land, She lamented!" A plantain seller BushFm later learnt was actually a widow, mistook our reporters as government agents and was almost irate when she was asked to say something about the 'bad market' by our reporters. "God will never forgive you people... All this money you people are putting in everything eh... God will punish you people. Even the kerosene we are using to cook is now very very costly... is it because you people are using Gas?" She queried. Away from Ose market Onitsha, the situation was even worst in Ogbe-Ogonogo market Asaba. When BushFm visited the now modern market, the market was almost scanty as you could see marketers discussing inside their different Shops instead of selling. A quick survey of the foodstuffs market showed that things were exceedingly very expensive. For instance, Four pieces of small sized Potato cost between One hundred and fifty naira and Two hundred naira depending on who is the seller. Unlike before when it was sold for fifty naira. The same goes for a tuber of Yam which was about a hundred and fifty naira before, now costs between three hundred naira and four hundred naira as the case may be. While a piece of Onion is sold at the rate of twenty naira. *Naira continues to be worthless: For Mrs Rose the naira is now a worthless currency, since the present government took over power from the Peoples Democratic Party. She lamented that the naira could now hardly buy anything of value in the market other than a bottle of beer! The naira has continued to grow weaker making it difficult to import even fairly used clothes(Okirika). Rose, a graduate of Business Administration from the University of Binin, said she ventured into Okirika business because of the lucrative nature of the business. But now she is planning of abandoning it because the reverse is now the case. According to her, "I am very stranded and frustrated now, I voted for President Buhari thinking that he will be different from others. But it is now very clear that others are even better than him, right now there is no food on the table of the common man, no fuel, no kerosene, no light, and the exchange rate of naira to the dollar keep increasing. Infact there is real hunger in the land, that is the new NATIONAL ANTHEM! https://bushfminfo..in/2016/08/economic-woes-hunger-is-now-national_15.html?_e_pi_=7%2CPAGE_ID10%2C1396323533

The Lagos state Government has reacted to the claims of Asari Dokubo few weeks ago, that the State is not an Oil producing State. In a bid to put the matter to rest, the govt has released several pictures of the Oil wells and production facilities for all to see. The pictures exclusively obtained by our reporter shows the massive Oil depots in Lagos State. The pics shows that Lagos States Oil is bigger and lager compared to that of the Niger Delta and the entire South-Eastern region combined together. See the pics below......

This Man Fayose is really a nightmare! If you see Fayose in your dreams, wake up and run for your dear life. May Chukwu Abiama protect you fearless one! |
Shameless government telling brazen lies. Niger Delta Avengers are more credible and consistent than this shameless govt. Btw, what about Aishaburton, has she been prosecuted? |
Good news! Anything that brings this idiotic gov't to its knees is a welcome development. The puppet govt must be taught a lesson. |
I was told she is also a victim of child marriage and sex abuse by Bubu, pls is it true? Anyway, we all know she is a criminal, but Bubu is the bigger criminal here! |
|
APC and Lagos - Ibadan people can never bring down our Alison Madueke and Ngozi Okonjo Iweala no matter how they try. These two women including Stella Odua is by far on a higher pedestal than APC and Lagos - Ibadan people can ever comprehend. The only idiot we dashed you people is that Ugly Ape Oby Ezeidiots, you can have her. Do anything you want with her. |
Good ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Bubu is on a mission to destroy the ZOO, and that gives me orgasm. until this contraption is destroyed, the souls of my brethren unjustly killed by the Nigeria Army will continue to cry-out loud. Meanwhile, we thank Chukwu Abiama! |
Agreed Aisha Buhari is a Criminal, but Bubu is the bigger Criminal. |
Nwa Chineke! Lagos-Ibadan people will not like this ![]() |
According to Thief.nubu' newspaper. APC pls show us Bubu's Satipicate and stop disturbing us with PDP news. |
Though she is mentally bereaved, but she's making a lot of sense here! |
The type of Political fraud APC and Buhari has introduced into this country is legendary! No wonder all the archival criminals came together and assembled in APC. Fraudulent Organization! |

koboko69:nawa oooo! to think you've never heard those words before is beyond imagination. Dude go ask your English, Physics and Chemistry Teacher for a refund. |
koboko69:OMG! Stop using that your 5th edition Oxford Dic na! Oya Google the word Neurosm and Anatem, and save yourself this embarrassment na. Na waoooooo! |
koboko69: ![]() ![]() now i know your level. Trust me dude, we are not on the same pedestal! Goodnight bro, am done talking with you. |
prince088:Oga stop this Oldish rants too. Read between the lines. The argument is whether the Banks broke any law within the contest (based on the contract that was signed!) it's not time for emotions pls. You got to the Bank for a job hunt, you are told the nature of the job and the 'terms and conditions applied'. After everything you are graciously been given the job. And with your eyes wide open, you signed away your right of belonging to any Union. With your eyes wide open you signed away you right to Job security, only to come back later and start shouting Ololooooooo! Now let me remind you the latest, incase you are not aware, pls pic up your gadget and Google FG's Mass retrenchment, and you will be surprised how many Nigerians that has been sacked by this present govt since taking over. And more are still been expected to be sacked. So are you saying it's okay and it is the prerogative of Govt to Hire and Fire, but the Private sector dosnt have such right? And pls if you wanna have a healthy conversation with me, mind your language and don't be insultive. |
koboko69:Now you're beckoning on your abient marauders to come ban me? I thought you had the Anatem to counter my verbal conquest? Why are you trying to run now that i have decided to indulge, and exponge your acute neurosm? Were you not the one who kept on opiniating that i am Mentally Enslaved? Did i not warn you severally? Now i am ready for you dude. Just bring it On, stop looking for Mods that will separate fight. |
koboko69:I thought I was arguing with a Sensible person, but your consistent verbal assault has left me with no option but to indulge you. I will advice you go take your bath cos you're actually stinking! Now listen dude, all those points you narrated has not answered my simple question which is, were they under compulsion to sign the contract? Was there a gun pointed to their heads as they were signing the contract? Pls answer these questions and stop your Iberiberism |
koboko69:You keep talking about 'mental slavery' but from our correspondences so far, i keep wondering between both of us who actually is a victim of Mental Slavery. But i'm not gonna indulge you in that malopiniotic rendezvous. Now according to you, "the executives of the banks have successfully cowered its workers to working without belonging into any union" pls can you explain what you mean by 'successfully cowered'? *Were they under compulsion to sign the contract agreement? *Are you saying they were oblivious of the terms and conditions applicable to the contract agreement? I am still waiting for your response. And precisely, the Labour Law you alleged the Bank broke. |
koboko69:You are trying howbeit unsuccessfully to be logical. Pls stop looking for an escape route. Yes i have read the labour Act, infact i just finished reading it a while ago. Okay now lets argue in-line and within the contest. So i ask you a simple question, tell me precisely what labour law the Banks has violated in this instance? I am waiting for your response before we go into the basics of that Labour Act. |
