Hi dear, you can cancel your appointment and with the same receipt book an appointment in Abuja. I just did that for my mum because the earliest I booked initially for Her was dec 22 in Lagos and we needed to travel before 28 nov. additional that emergency date is very tricky and based on their requirements, I don’t think you qualify cos yours is voluntary medical trip not that it’s an emergency

So last week I created a new DS-160 Form to upload my passport photo properly as I learnt that I won't be allowed in to the interview if it's not it uploaded. Thanks to @urblackpearl I was successful with that. I also notified the support@UStravels docs team and even though I didn't see the update from their end, I logged into my profile and update it with the new DS-160 Form number and then printed my new Interview Confirmation page.

At the Visa Centre however, I wasn't allowed to go in for my interview because the update was just done the day before and hadn't reflected on their system. No explanations were listened to.

Then Hubby said he wasn't going to go for his interview cus we applied together... I insisted that he did his while I waited for him in the car and THANK GOD He was given a visa.

I don't have the detailed transcript cus I wasn't there but in summary, it was really smooth. He was asked where he works, where I work, where he's travelled to before, where I have travelled to before, reason for our visa application, my EDD, Name of hospital we want to use in the US, what our budget is. No support document was requested or looked at.

Now my challenge, we went back to reschedule and the earliest date at first was 22nd Dec then it became 27th Dec and so hubby and I panicked and chose it before it will change to Jan 2018. I'm due end of Jan 2018 by GOD'S Grace and I'm expected to be at the hospital in the US in December. In fact per most airline policies I've seen I need to travel by mid December.

I want to submit an emergency request and ask for an expedited date. Information here (I've searched with the word expedited) and even on the website is a bit confusing... on the US Visa website, I don't see anywhere it says to pay again for expedited but info I've gotten so far I've been told I will need to pay again.

Pls house can anybody experienced with expedited interview date / emergency request help me with the actual interpretation of what I need to do. Wdo I pay another visa fee? If yes, is it before I get approval for my emergency request or after?

Please I want to get this done next week by GOD'S Grace. I'm out of Lagos for the next two months till it's time to travel. Please I appreciate your response.

Thanks a lot Datam, thing is I thought you can only reschedule twice on the same Visa fee. I have rescheduled once now and I'm worried that if I cancel and Abuja is now too far off for me as well, I can't reschedule again. Pls correct me if I'm wrong can I reschedule more than twice on the same visa fee? And there's more to my wanting to do the interview in Lagos. At the moment I'm out of town (Had to leave for work outside Lagos where I mentioned I'll be for the next two months) and I've already made plans to be in Lagos next week... took a lot of extra to get that done. Now to switch to Abuja.

Chaiii... I'm so confused and tired and all because I didn't pay attention the first time!

No you don't pay another visa fee, just log on to your dashboard and click on emergency appointment, choose medical and explain why you missed the first appointment, explain the available dates and tell them that will make you miss your doctors appointment, upload the following documents: info from hospital, doctor's info and doctor's confirmation of appointment.

They'll respond the following day and tell you to choose a date. Goodluck

A friend of mine at work used them in Nov 2016. She and her Husband were given visas.

I logged in but still saw the old confirmation number and so I clicked update profile and changed to the new confirmation number and saved. Then it updated on the Appointment Confirmation page. Hi urblackpearl, Its me againnnnn I just got a reply saying my case has been updated and the case closed that I should log back into my account to view details.

So I retrieved application using old Application ID, it initially gave an error message tried two more times after which it went through and I viewed the confirmation page but still no passport. Retrieved application with new Application ID and viewed, I can see Passport photo. Please how did you confirm that both applications had been linked? Or your profile updated? Did you have to click "start new application"?

I intend printing and going to the Interview with both old and new Confirmation pages as well as email but will appreciate clarity so I'm not packing unnecessary papers. Thanks again.

I apologize for the plenty questions on one issue... but I'm such a novice right now and my interview date is already here ... Please help see if the email reads okay, all the required info contained or if it's too much.

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I completed my Non immigrant Visa application on xxxx and have been scheduled for interview on xxxx,

However my passport didn't upload successfully and I read on the confirmation page to come along with a passport photo to the interview.

But going through my interview confirmation page I noticed the message that applicants whose passport photos did not upload will be turned back.

I researched and found that I should fill a new application and send the new application ID to this email address requesting that it be linked to my initial application and profile.

Kindly assist with linking my new application with my old one.

Exactly. got response in abt 24hours. it did not affect my interview date. once u get the response. log in to your profile to confirm the new number has been linked

This happened to me. fill another form and upload it pic. then send them an email to link the new Ds160 form to your profile. and it will be sorted out

If I understand you correctly; after clicking on "Retrieve Application" I can click "start a new application" instead of "view application" and this will enable me fill another form and upload the passport and this will not affect the initial application and Confirmation details?

Please did this affect your interview date? Did you have to reschedule? How long did it take to get a response to your email requesting that the new DS160 form be linked to your profile?

Please Dear experienced people. I still haven't found a solution to uploading my passport after application has been submitted, payment made and the interview date has been confirmed.
A passport was uploaded for me alright but it didn't fit the requirement and so did not display and it was stated on the confirmation form that my passport didn't meet the requirements. Hubby's own however met the requirements so is showing on the confirmation page.

When I log into the application it says the application I'm trying to retrieve has been submitted and so should choose to "view confirmation page" or "start a new application.

Viewing the confirmation page doesn't give any options to upload photo or edit anything.

Please is there anyway I can upload a proper picture now and how? please.

Keep trying to upload your picture. They won't let you in without a photo on your form.

I renewed recently. Nothing has changed significantly other than the fee (64k chaii)

The only difference now is that when filling the DS 160, there is a last page that requires one to upload a picture. Previously one could bypass this step and bring a hard copy.

Now, it is compulsory to upload a picture, and also bring hard copies along when submitting.

Mine took 4 days.

Hello anonymous Mum and everyone, I'm a first time US Mum to be, I completed my Visa application already and my passport pic that was uploaded (At this point I might as well say tried to upload) did not show up on the confirmation page however my Hubby's own did. My friend's sister that helped my husband and I with our application said I could go ahead for the interview with the hard copy passport. Going by your post now. Please will this be a problem?

P.S: I just registered on Nairaland (I'm not sure how to quote well, I hope I get it first time) but have gone through the thread in the past two/three weeks as a Guest and learnt a lot of things. Thanks to everyone sharing. I pray to share my own experiences (VO, PoE, Delivery, Documentation, etc) by GOD'S Grace.
