To my own opinion, This 5G network debacle is classic information wars.

Everyone is getting bombarded with bad news about 5G because China cracked it first not because it is bad for your health as they claim.

My Samsung ear phone clearly has "MAY CONTAIN CARCINOGENS" in its manual.

Right now, what we are witnessing is the West trying to cripple the East because 5G is a race they cannot afford to lose.

For instance,

5G is 20X faster than the fastest 4G.

During the 3G era, a 2 hour movie took about 26 hours to download, for 4G, it is 6 mins.

5G will download a 2 hours movie in 3 seconds.

We are looking at a future where everything is connected by 5G from driverless cars to smart homes. Doctors will be able to perform surgeries from halfway across the world.

What are the economic implications of this?

When America won the race to 4G, it added nearly 100 Billion to its GDP.

It is estimated that 5G will add 500 billion to GDP and provide 3 million jobs.

This is HUGE for anyone that launches first.

Asides the economic side, there are also concerns about information espionage and spying and given the mistrust between the West and China. The West cannot bare a world in which China does the spying and not them.

Huawei has the best 5G technology thus far, no one else comes close.

Hauwei is a company back by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party); the Chairman of the company is a party member.

The fears of loss of all these economic benefits and power to China and possible spying has fueled the information war to slow Hauwei down and give the West a chance to catch up.

Sometime last year, Donald Trump signed an executive order banning importation and usage of communication equipment deemed to be a threat to National security.

This was a direct hit at China and Huawei which led to UK pulling its order for 5G equipment from Huawei and Japan delaying the launch of some models of Hauwei phones. All to cripple Hauwei and make sure it doesn't launch before America.

Phones generally are bad for our health and all the experiments that are being cited now are inconclusive, also the tests were done on rats.

It is not about your health even though those concerns are real.

It is power, money, status struggle between the West and China.

5G will not kill you except you live on the mast and even then, 4G will do the same.

7 Coronavirus Grammar Lessons By Farooq A. Kperogi, Ph.D.

I know grammar is the last thing on most people’s minds right now, but for the few people who care (and who have been sending me inquiries in private messages), here are seven coronavirus grammar lessons:

1. People test positive FOR coronavirus, not “TO” it. It is, “El-Rufai tests positive FOR coronavirus,” not “El-Rufai tests positive TO coronavirus.”

2. Quarantine is pronounced KWO-RAN-TEEN, not KWO-RAN-TAIN, in both British and American English. In other words, quarantine rhymes with "canteen," not "valentine."

3. Coronavirus is a single word, although “corona virus” is an acceptable variant.

4. People tend to use (“self-)quarantine” and “(self-)isolation” interchangeably, but they’re different. You (self-)quarantine yourself when you suspect that you may have the disease because you have come in contact with people who have tested positive for it. You go into (self-)isolation when you test positive for the disease.

If you stay home NOT because you came in contact with people who have the disease and NOT because you tested positive for it, but because your government insists you do, or you do so on your own volition just to eliminate or decrease your chances of getting the disease, it’s called “shelter in place.”

5. An epidemic is a disease that temporarily affects a large number of people in a locality while a pandemic is a disease that has spread throughout a country, a continent or the entire world. Coronavirus is obviously a pandemic.

6. You don't "contact" a disease; you "contract" it. So people can only "contract" coronavirus, not "contact" it.

7. Finally, the other name for coronavirus is COVID-19, not COVIK 1, 9.�Don’t be misled by what a certain physically quarantined and mentally isolated “president,” now infamously known as “President COVIK” on social media, said a few days ago.�

Nor should you call COVID-19 “Code 19,” as Nigeria’s notoriously pliant rubber-stamp Senate President by the name of Ahmed Lawan did two days ago. Well, this same man told the world of a woman who “killed her husband to death”! Go figure.

Amid backlash, Aisha Buhari tweets video of daughter waving inside presidential jet

Aisha Buhari, the first lady, on Monday tweeted a video of Hanan, one her daughters, waving at a crowd from the presidential jet.

The 55 seconds clip, accompanied with a musical background, showed Hanan capturing the culture of Bauchi people.

Hanan’s use of one of the aircraft in the presidential fleet to a private ceremony in Bauchi had stirred a controversy, with many accusing her family of abusing power.

Femi Falana, human rights lawyer, had said it was illegal for Hanan to use the jet on a private trip.

Rilwanu Adamu, emir of Bauchi, had reportedly invited her to document an annual festival and some tourist attractions in the state.

Amidst the backlash and controversy, the wife of the president took to her social media handles to share a clip from the video coverage of the event by her daughter.

Hanan was in the news late last year after she bagged first class from a university in the UK.

Two blood brothers, Ugochukwu and Uchechukwu Ekete, have lost theirs lives, following an accident in Enugu State.

The incident occurred last night at New Artisan, Enugu, while they were returning from a wedding. Their car was said to have rammed into a truck.

Davido's first babymama Sophia Momodu, pledge to spill the truth about things happening between her and her baby daddy.

Sophia Momodu in an Instagram live session, hinted at revealing the truth about her trip to Ghana with him.

Two Dublin-based Nigerian men, Saheed and Muri, recently met their Waterloo after refusing to pay a lady, following a romp.

It is gathered that the duo had driven down to Agric in Ikorodu, Lagos State, to have a good time with the lady and agreed to pay her N20,000.

Trouble, however, started when the lady demanded for her money after servicing Saheed and Muri according to international standards but they started acting funny.

Without much ado, the hooker called in the police to arrest them, forcing one of the impecunious men to start speaking Queen’s English, but an onlooker was quick to remind him “Ìhàhín na Lagos, Eko ni wan pe bi,” in rapper CDQ’s voice.
