FoodGood Nigerian Restaurant In New York, New Jersey Or Philadelphia. by onyxhawk(op): 10:32pm On Sep 10, 2006
- Anyone know any good restaurants or just somewhere to buy some good naija food - in the area around New York, New Jersey or Philadelphia?

I have recently developed a craving for well made naija food and I don't want to cook myself. Yes, I know it would be cheaper to cook it myself assuming I can do a good job, but I still don't want to cook.

I found one place, it is a little bit of a drive for me, called 'African Kitchen' in Central Jersey.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
PS. I hear there is one in Staten Island and/or Orange, New Jersey.

....... Hey! Look pretty, wear lingerie, make your hair, try new things in bed, make the whole relationship thingy exciting and most men will respond in kind. But the bottom line is that Nigeria or African woman will more power than the know and should grab this thing by the horns and run with it instead of whining.
I think that any (adult) man or woman who doesn't know this by now really shouldn't be in a relationship (dating, marriage etc.) and expect it to work out. You have to keep your partner happy (mentally, spiritually and physically). Otherwise they will look other places for it.

And keeping them happy comes in different packages.. I think it is an adult decision to make just what you are willing to do to keep the relationship going. If it is something you aren't willing to do... then it is time to move on. I say this because what one person sees as acceptable, someone else will think it completely insane.

If you want to keep the relationship going longterm then... fill in the blank. Cos' you (he/she) will need to fulfill the majority of the needs/wants of your partner.

i agree with dollygurl, it surely work for anybody that want it to work.its works for me and i love my guy and we communicate everynow and then..
Would have to agree with both of you. There are 'some' times when things don't work out even after you try, but I think for the most part.. it works out as long as you want it to.

As for literarily asking a guy out ...I CAN'T, because that will be below my personal standards.
Below your standards.. interesting..

So guys have a problem asking girls out?

So what happens if he ignores you in his 'orbit'? Or just doesn't pick up the 'hints'?

It's pretty easy hun. Just forget about "ego" and think about "your feelings".

Go to him, it's as easy as... "would like to see a movie on saturday?". Or "can i sit, or is the sit occupied".

Only an arsehole of a guy wouldn't gather 2+2 to make 4.
Hot-angel: Seems like you were either hurt by a guy.. or you don't like guys period. Seems like you have a lot of 'angey' comments about guys.. bad experience?

Short distance r/ship sef, u haven't finished settling, not to talk of long dist one. It doesn't work most of the time jare.i wish we could ask all that claimed to be in a LDR on this post to keep in touch till about 10yrs ..then we'll see 1/10 of them would be telling another story even by a yr time.
Do SDR have a guarantee attached? If so I missed it..

If you have something going.. and aren't interested.. then don't have a LDR.

If you like the person.. or better like them a lot.. then why not try..

Don't knock it till you try it. I don't think anyone going into a LDR is thinking.. 'Hmm.. I hope this doesn't work out.'

Anyway, can't blame anyone for giving their opinions.. SDR are easier.. but conditions aren't always ideal.. and diamonds are made in the rough.. not in the vast, open beautiful fields.. and they wouldn't be precious if they were formed easily or common.

So I think they LDRs that make it are special.. but they are not easy by any stretch of the imagination. Got to respect 5 years of not seeing each other.. 1 month and I am already getting antsy.

Yes i tried it. It was stupid. Infact really stupid. It lasted... not more than 1 month. Infact.. it was stupid. I've said it before and i'll say it again. LDR is B.S

And please don't give me the "because it didn't work for you don't mean it's B.S crap".
I think that if it didn't work for you.. it didn't work for you.

Like everything else in life.. people are different.. that is what makes the world go round.

'Because it didn't work for you doesn't mean it won't work next time.. or that there isn't a chance it will work for someone else.'

It has worked before for others.. so it isn't impossible. Just has to be the right set of people, in the right situatiion. It isn't for everyone.

Good men are out there.. just like there are good women.. they won't be called good or special if they were a dime a dozen.

Faith does play a huge part of the equation.. when you start believing you will start seeing changes.

Hi . Please how can one help a bullimic patient and what r d chances such person would ever recover witout having2go in2 all this teraphy and all.den what r d dangers such a person is being exposed2.
Tough question: People who have bulimia don't readily admit that they have a problem and that is going to be one of the hardest parts of helping this your 'friend'. After accepting that there is a problem that needs to be addressed the rest get just a little easier.. she or he will have a hard road in front of them to be able to get over this habit.. and it never really goes away.. once a bulimic.. there is always a chance to relapse.

My opinion though.. wondering what Balogun thinks.

Some men are so shallow no wonder no more good men exist.
Once again.. like Balogun had mentioned earlier.. one or even two.. messes up the rep for the rest.. and then you start making generalizations.

If you want to meet any 'good' Nigeria men.. you have to believe they exist. If you don't might as well just move on.. if you didn't already. I don't think it is Nigerian men that are 'bad'. I think there are good, bad and in the middle men.. from all parts of the world. Same as women. You have to meet the right person, and you both have to bring out the best in each other.. 'One man's meat is another man's poison'. I have seen friends of mine treat one woman like a queen and another with absolutely no respect.

Carry yourself with respect and demand it of him.. don't lower yourself or your standards. Any good man will respect that.

As for the women.. it isn't like you are all angels.

There may be options out there for the Nigeria man.. but there isn't a substitute for a good Nigeria woman as a partner. Or so I have heard.  wink

So im confused as to perhaps i do have an ovarian cyst, what is the treatment for that?
im seeing a dr. tomorrow to take the dressing off so i might ask then.
Is it normal to experience a certain amount of pain in the area of the ovaries after such surgery?
Thanks again for your help.

************
Seeing as I don't know how to 'quote' yet..

As per the ovarian cysts.. usually just managed on a watchful basis, unless they cause problems. Every woman get ovarian cysts at some point in her life. They are part of the ovalation cycle. The cysts that cause problems are those that don't resolve with you cycle. Problems you can get.. hemorrhagic cyst (blood in the cyst), ovarian torsion (big cyst causing the ovary to twist on itself and cut off blood to the ovary). In general, any 'bad' problems from cysts would present with VERY bad pain, not controlled with the pain medicine.

Also, for fear of stating the obvious... hope they made sure you weren't just pregnant?
