hi all, i find this topic really interesting, i just need some clarification,It has wifi built into it so you can use that to connect to wifi devices to access the internet, although I'm afraid you'll be largely limited to Amazon's content services. If you seek a tablet that can access the internet and still make use of Microsoft Office documents and even use flash drives and external hard drives, you can get an Android tablet. One I gladly recommend is the Asus Transformer. It's solidly built with good features and it's quite affordable. Let us know if you require a quote. |

Android OS is one of the best things to happen to the mobile platform but as far as hardware goes, you get what you pay for. My advice is to go for a high end phone in terms of hardware. HTC has the reputation of making some of the best hardware for android phones so you can give them a try. I currently use a 2010 nexus one (HTC manufactured it for Google and it's essentially like the twin of HTC Desire) and since I started using it, my love for iphone has nose-dived. Hardware is solid, software updated OTA to Gingerbread 2.3.4 almost as soon as I switched it on the first time and it runs great. I have since unlocked, rooted and installed several mods without any issues. Don't get me wrong, I think Apple makes great products and I recently converted to a 2010 macbook pro when the issues Windows was giving me was getting too much, but as far as I'm concerned, the Android OS makes a whole lot of sense and for me there's no going back. What I'll like to see now is a Nokia phone running an Android OS; now that may be something worth having! Google Nexus One (unlocked, rooted, android 2.3.5 mod) Apple Macbook Pro (2.4GHz Intel Core i5, 8GB ram, 500gb hybrid drive, OSX Lion 10.7.1) , you guessed right, an Android tablet will soon join the pack! |
