Politics / ICPC Recovers More Than 200 Properties In 8 Months ― Prof Bolaji Owasanoye by Opeyemiadura1: 2:36am On Oct 17, 2019
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) says it has recovered over 200 properties including plazas, bungalows and mansions from suspected corrupt individuals in the last eight months.

The Chairman of the Commission, Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye, disclosed this when he met with the management of the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS).

A spokesperson for the Commission, Mrs Rasheedat Okoduwa, said this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja

She quoted the commission’s chairman as saying that ICPC was on course of recovering additional 100 properties to take the number of recovered properties to 300 before the end of the year.

Owasanoye said that the Commission was working with the Federal Ministry of Works, to map out the properties with a view to ascertaining their value and how best they could be put to use by the Federal Government after final forfeiture.

ICPC has recovered over 200 assets under my watch. We are working hard to get to 300 before the end of the year.

Some of these properties are under interim forfeiture, while others are under final forfeiture,” he said

The ICPC boss assured the institute that the commission would work within the confines of the law to render any assistance in terms of providing office accommodation for its staff.

He, however, advised NIALS to seek for ways to develop its permanent office.

Earlier, the Director-General of NIALS, Prof. Muhammed Ladan, had pleaded with ICPC to help the agency to secure temporary office accommodation for its staff.

Ladan said lack of office space for 317 members of its staff who are currently squatting at the Supreme Court Complex for the past 20 years and at the University of Lagos for about 40 years, called for urgent action.

He further appealed to the commission boss to help procure one of the recovered properties as a temporary office for its institute, adding that 38 of its staff use the supreme court basement which was not comfortable.

Crime / Police PRO; Opetodolapo Speaks On The 77 Nigerians Arrested In The US For Fraud by Opeyemiadura1: 7:17am On Aug 25, 2019
Opetodolapo These is indeed shameful to us as a nation and it calls for sober reflection.

That 77 out of 80 suspects involved in a syndicated and organised crime of fraud described by FBI as the largest on-line fraud scheme in United state is indeed appalling!

I'm still asking these questions
1.What went wrong?
2. Why do our youth derail from successful achievements to becoming fraudsters?
3. Why are fraudsters celebrated more than hard workers?
4. Why would youth defend illegality even at their own expense? Why? Why? Why?

Have we paused to imagine the impact this massive discovery "will" or "may" nave on our nation?

Have we taught of how negatively this will affect our youth wanting to do legitimate business home and abroad?

Have we paused to think about how this will rub off on us individually as Nigerians and collectively as a nation! Oh mine.

Well, to everyone engaging in fraudulent activities claiming they are taking back what the oyinbos took from their forefathers be rest assured you wil rot within the four walls of the jail your forefathers help them built...and for parents and family members urging their loved ones to perpetrate fraud, be rest assured that you will cry over them!

I want @FBl and the whole world to know that those ones caught are not full representation of what Nigerian youth stands for! Nigeria youths are vibrant, hardworking and resilient! Please treat them (the suspects)as per their father's house and family name..kindly give chance to the good and honest Nigerians (Wait! Is that a woman I'm seeing amongst in cuffs?! Gosh!)

Crime / Imo Woman That Sold His A Day Old Baby For N500,000 And Two Nurses Got Arrested by Opeyemiadura1: 4:44am On Aug 25, 2019
The operatives of the Imo State Police Command have arrested a woman, Chinasa Ukaonu, for selling her day-old baby for N500,000.

Also arrested were two nurses, Dorothy Esomonu and Catherine Eke who assisted the woman to trade her child.

The police spokesperson in the state, Orlando Ikeokwu, told our correspondent that the buyer, Chioma Amadi, had been nabbed by the police.

The police spokesperson said that the arrest of the suspects assisted the police in rescuing the sold child.

Ikeokwu, who described the act as absurd and irritating, disclosed that the state commissioner of police, Rabiu Ladodo, had instructed the investigating team to prosecute the suspects at the conclusion of the investigation.

The police spokesperson said, “On August 1, 2019, the operatives of the Command acting on reasonable information arrested Chinasa Ukaonu, Chioma Amadi, Esomonu Dorothy, and Catherine Eke, all females.

It is important to note that Chinasa Ukaonu, left the house with an eight-month-old pregnancy on the pretense that she was going to stay with her brother who stays at Ubomiri, in the Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo state.

Upon investigation, the husband, one Promise Ukaonu, discovered that his wife was not where she claimed she was going to stay.”

However, a month later, he received a call that his wife had a stillborn. When he demanded to see the remains of the child, the wife told him that she wrapped it in a nylon bag and disposed of it.

The police spokesperson continued, “Not satisfied with the story, he reported the matter at the Police which led to the arrest of Chinasa Ukaonu, who then confessed of having sold the child to one Chioma Amadi for the sum of N500,000 with the help of the two nurses, Dorothy Esomonu, and Catherine Eke, who assisted her through the childbirth.

Through powerful investigation, the sold child was recovered and an investigation is at an advanced stage.”

Crime / Maria Adesanya: Nigerian Lady To Be Deported From UK For Bribe And False Claim by Opeyemiadura1: 5:36pm On Aug 24, 2019
Nigerian immigrant mother, 31, bribed a male NHS nurse, 44, to pose as her baby daughter's father so the child could obtain a British passport

*Maria Adesanya, 31, paid NHS nurse Adekunle Adeparusi, 44, as much as £3,000
*Pair hatched the plan so that Adesanya's daughter could have a British passport
*Nigerian mother now faces deportation and Adeparusi was jailed for 33 months

A Nigerian immigrant mother who bribed a male NHS nurse to pose as her baby daughter's father so that her child could get British passport faces deportation.

Housewife Maria Adesanya, 31, paid £3,000 to UK citizen Adekunle Adeparusi, 44, to put his name down as the father on the child's birth certificate.

Adeparusi then pocketed a further £13,000 that he claimed in child tax credits even though he had no role in the daughter's life.

The pair hatched the plan in January 2014, three months after pregnant Adesanya entered the UK on an eight-month visitors VISA. They were only caught in February 2015 after the mother applied for a Derivative Authority Card.

During this time the mother found work using the ID cards of two EU nationals, a Portuguese and a Dutch citizen.

The child, now aged five, is thought to still be living in the UK.

At Minshull Street Crown Court, Manchester, Adesanya, from Bury, was sentenced to 14 months in jail but immediately released on licence as she had been under curfew since October.

She was found guilty of false representation and possessing false ID documents.

Adeparusi, from Gavesend in Kent, was jailed for 33 months after admitting making a false statement with intent.

Sentencing Adesanya, Judge John Edwards said: 'This really was a performance of incredible stupidity by you.

'You have a child out of wedlock which is frowned on by your culture and feared what would happen to you and your child if you returned to Nigeria.

'The effect to them of their mother serving a period in prison would be shattering.

'You have spent 10 months worrying about your future and your children’s future. Being separated from the children would have a significant detrimental effect on their emotional wellbeing.

But you displayed a blatant disregard for the immigration laws in this country. What you did was disgraceful and dishonest.'

When sentencing Adeparusi, the judge said: 'Organised immigration crime such as that which you engaged in can have and does have a significant impact on public funds and confidence, and the abuse of documents and the lawful exercise of the right to enter this country goes to the heart of the system which all of us rely on.

'When you came to this country in March 2007 and settled down with your family in Kent, qualifying as a nurse, I’m satisfied you intended to lead a constructive and contributing life.

'But that all ended when you met Ms Adesanya. You lied face to face to the registrar and the passport office and it didn’t end there.

'This was a highly devised and lucrative scheme, these are charges which completely undermine the integrity of the immigration system and garnered you a significant amount of money.'

After arriving in the UK in October 2013 and giving birth, prosecutor Robert Golinski said that Adesanya made contact with Adeparusi via another person who, for a fee, agreed to pretend to be the father.

'It is not clear how much he was to be paid but there are references to £3000, evidence of a payment being made by her to him at the end of January 2014 after the child was born,' he said.

'On 14th January 2014 they both attended Rochdale Registrar office to register the birth and in doing so fully confirmed that he was the father.

'The birth certificate itself contained a false statement that was used by him to make an application for a British passport for the child.

'On the 6th March 2014 the passport office issued a passport in the child’s name and on the 31st July 2014 Mr Adeparusi contacted the authorities and claimed tax credits he wasn’t entitled to because he wasn’t responsible for the little girl.'

'He continued to receive those credits at £7.54 per day until July 2017 - a period of under three years - the total being just under £11,000 in tax credits. He in fact continued to claim them even after he had been told in interview he wasn’t entitled to do so.

'Ms Adesanya submitted application to the home office for a Derivative Authority Card as a primary carer for a British citizen and in doing so submitted the fraudulently obtained passport. That application was refused in February 2015 - she appealed and the appeal was dismissed.

'She was unable to open a bank account in this country between July 2013 and December 2014 but she used one of Mr Adeparusi’s bank accounts to receive over £2000 in wages. During her period in the UK Ms Adesanya appears to have had no real means to support herself and sought to obtain employment.

'She wasn’t entitled to work in the UK and so she assumed the identity of two EU citizens, a Dutch national, and also a Portuguese national.

'She also obtained a false Portuguese ID card.'

Politics / Niger Delta Communities Protest Against Alleged Unpaid N7 Billion Royalties by Opeyemiadura1: 4:37am On Aug 23, 2019
Indigenes of oil-producing communities in the Niger Delta yesterday in Abuja protested against an alleged non-payment of a N6.9 billion rent by a major oil company.

They threatened to vandalise the assets of multinational in the area if the alleged indebtedness was not defrayed in two weeks.

Brandishing placards and banners with various inscriptions, the protesters vowed to go after the company’s facilities if the resolution of the Senate was not honoured within the deadline.

A chief from Opolo community of Bayelsa State, Odede Hezekiah, while addressing reporters, noted that they chose this peaceful path to draw the attention of President Muhammadu Buhari and other Nigerians to the development else they could have just mobilised and begin to destroy the installations belonging to the oil firm.

We are giving them just two weeks to respect the Senate resolution. If they don’t, anything can happen. We give the period to pay the amount covering between 2014 and 2023.

Let them pay the whole money they are owing the whole Niger Delta communities. That is why we are here. Else, something will happen to their facilities.

We just want President Buhari to hear everything before we take action,” he warned. Also speaking, Mr. Ayigba Shedrack, who identified himself as a representative of Azagbene community in the same oil-rich state, clarified,

The Senate passed a resolution directing that they should pay N600,000 per hectare of land per annum to every host community in the Niger Delta.

But as I am talking to you now, they paid us N200,000 unlike what they paid Forcados, Bonny and others in Port Harcourt.”

As we speak, our people are agitated and if we go back now, anything can happen.”He maintained that unless they get N600,000 per hectare yearly in line with the decision of the upper legislative chamber, his people could not guarantee industrial harmony.

The Senate had in April this year directed the Dutch oil major to respect its earlier resolution which mandated it to pay N6,936,899,900 to some host communities in the oil-rich region.A firm, Bekele Jones and Associates, had petitioned the red chamber, alleging non-payment of the accumulated rentals and expired leases.

It specifically decried the arrears for the Port Harcourt Oloibiri pipeline, the Oloibiri well and the entire Utapate/Akwa Ibom fields.

On receipt of the petition, the Senate leadership through the office of the Clerk to the National Assembly conveyed its position to the oil firm.

The letter, dated March 4, 2019 and signed by the Clerk to the National Assembly, Alhaji Mohammed Sani-Omolori, was addressed separately to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mustapha Boss, and the managing director of the oil company.

The Senate resolved that the firm should pay a uniform rate of N600,000 per hectare of land as rent yearly for all losses of surface rights from 2014.

The upper chamber also directed the multinational to “cancel all long term leases of 99 years already imposed on landowners and comply with the provisions of the Oil Pipeline Act which stipulate a term of 20 years only.”

Crime / Two Nigerians, Iro, Igbokwe Arrested In US Over $6 Million Internet Fraud by Opeyemiadura1: 4:22am On Aug 23, 2019
Two Nigerian men, Valentine Iro, 33, and Chukwudi Christogunus Igbokwe were arrested on Thursday by American security agents who clamped down on fraudsters attempting to swindle unsuspecting victims of $40 million in internet fraud.

The US authorities had announced charges against 80 people, most of them Nigerians, in a wide-ranging fraud and money laundering operation that netted millions of dollars from victims of internet con jobs.

Both Iro and Igbokwe arrested alongside 78 others were indicted of defrauding people of at least $6 million in fraudulently obtained funds transferred through a money-laundering network.

According to AFP report, Federal prosecutors unsealed the dozens of indictments after 17 people were arrested and taken into custody in Los Angeles and elsewhere in the United States.

Most of the remainder of those indicted were believed to be in Nigeria, the US Justice Department said.

The suspects allegedly targeted the lovelorn, the elderly, and small and large businesses, using a variety of scams to persuade their victims to send money over the internet.

Some of the victims of the conspiracy lost hundreds of thousands of dollars to fraud schemes, and many were elderly,” the Justice Department said.

Attempted thefts amounted to at least $40 million, it said.

Billions of dollars are lost annually, and we urge citizens to be aware of these sophisticated financial schemes to protect themselves or their businesses from becoming unsuspecting victims,” said Paul Delacourt, assistant director in charge of the FBI’s Los Angeles office.

Politics / Why Igbos Cannot Be Nigeria President Without Northern Alliance 'suleiman Ukand' by Opeyemiadura1: 8:55pm On Aug 11, 2019
Suleiman Ukandu, ex-chairman of the Abia State Muslim Pilgrim Board, has advised political leaders in the South East geo-political zone to resuscitate their alliance with the Northerners ahead of future elections.

Ukandu who gave the admonition in an interview with journalists on Sunday, in Umuahia, Abia State capital, shortly after the Muslim prayer to mark the 2019 El-kabir, held in Umuahia township stadium, emphasized that the northerners had been the best Igbo allies since the independence of Nigeria, lamenting the shortchange of the people of South East region in the present democratic dispensation by a northerner(Buhari)”.

His words, “The Ohanaeze and other Igbo group are on point for calling for political realignment between the North and the South East zone. I associate myself only on that. Basically, it is important and imperative that the old political alliances between the North and Eastern region should be reinvigorated. Igbos had been alliance with them(North) right from the creation of the country.

From all the constitutional conferences, till later days, we(Ndigbo) had been in alliance with the north. And the northerners have been comfortable with us.

We have beenk in contact with the north right from the time in memory. They had been living with us. We have been seeing them as quite better people (Northerners) to associate with. We had been doing all our businesses with the north for quite sometime. And if every northerner who is sincere could in retrospect, they would know that, Igbos had been one of their best allies north have.

In fact, eastern region was a loyal ally of the north despite what they normally do to us. All the betrayal we are having in the alliance had not come from South east, the betrayal always come from them. We are loyal to them, but, they have refused to empower us when the need be. Still we don’t mind.

Politics / State Of The Nation: Prayers Will Take Nigeria Nowhere, Bishop Bernard Revealed by Opeyemiadura1: 12:29am On Aug 10, 2019
Ufuoma Bernard, Bishop, The Godist Church, in this reflection on state of the Nigerian nation in a chat with Vanguard in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, says prayers from an extreme wealth crazy clergy of latter day Church will never bail the nation out of its woes, but would rather aggravate the pains of the majority of the suffering masses.

Pervasive conducts of Nigeria’s religious leaders Religion is supposed to be transcendental, it is supposed to be about service.

A church is supposed to be non profit. But today, educational institutions owned by churches, both orthodox and new generation, are so expensive and members of the church pay same fees with non members even when they pay tithes and offering that raise the schools for the church.

There is scrambling for money today in churches. There is corruption in today’s religion. If you want to render service, why fight for it, why lobby for it? The church is in a society, it cannot be better than the society.

Today it seems the church has been overwhelmed by the society. What Jesus preached was ‘go ye into the world and change the world’, but today, the world has entered into the church and has changed the focus of the church.

When society becomes very poor, religion becomes very rich, because when government cannot take care of basic needs of the people, they run to the church. It is not as if the church takes care of their needs. What the church does at the end of the day is abracadabra.

If the church needs anything, the church comes to the members to contribute. But if the members come to the church for anything, the church tells the members “my God will do it for you”.

Taming the capitalist obsessed clergy I advice government to regulate church. No pastor should turn the church to a family business. No child of a founder should take over the church from him.

I request that the minimum of a valid diploma in theology should be a requirement before anybody is made pastor. I also suggest that where Nigerians should congregate as a church should be a safe place, a decent place.

The church should be sanitized, the church should be moderated. If the church is moderated, then I believe every money churches make will be accounted for. The churches today is just like a personal property of the pastor. It ought not be so.

Nigeria’s biggest enemy The biggest enemies of Nigerians are politicians. They are not at all God fearing. Our politicians don’t get into politics to serve the masses but to provide for themselves.

They are not there to provide security for the masses but themselves. Our politicians do not have thinking plan. God is a thinker.

I suggest the national assembly enact laws that will prohibit politicians from sending their children abroad for education. A politician who will not allow his children to school, access healthcare here in Nigeria, politician who will not eat with Nigerians must not be allowed to serve Nigerians.

And the Nigerian government must get it right with adequate and uninterrupted electricity supply in Nigeria and political positions should be made short terms.

If a politician can’t perform well in his first term, he must not be allowed to go back and continue. Faulty Nigerian system needs overhaul, not restructuring “The Nigerian system is faulty so the system needs to be corrected.

Nigeria does not need restructuring because Nigeria is already restructured. The Afenifere, Niger Delta, IPOB and others are calling for restructuring, but I say there is no need for restructuring. What we need is a system overhaul. What is my context of overhaul you may want to know.

My appeal to those in power is that Nigeria will never make progress until we make sure recurrent expenditure falls to 40% minimum, then capital expenditure goes to 60%. As it stands now, it is only 20% that is budgeted for capital expenditure, while 80% goes to recurrent expenditure and that 80% only services 1% of the population, politicians and the payment of civil servants salaries and emolument.

Music/Radio / I Hope To Touch Lives With My Music In Nigeria "Gospel Singer" Kanvee Adams by Opeyemiadura1: 11:26pm On Aug 09, 2019
Having established herself a gospel music singer of great repute in her country, Liberia and in many other African countries, Daar Music Global signed artiste, Kanvee Adams is currently in Nigeria to promote her ‘Life changing’ music.

With a wealthy discography to her credit, Kanvee Adams who ventured into the music-making craft after receiving a divine calling from God, is set to go on a nationwide and continental tour where she will create awareness for her newly released album, ‘Hosanna’.

Speaking on her forthcoming nationwide music tour, an expectant Kanvee said; “Acceptance is key to me. I hope my brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers will accept me and my songs as we do for Nigerian artistes in Liberia.

I expect to make a very positive mark here in Nigeria by God’s grace. Nigeria is the hub of music in Africa and every artist will desire to showcase here.” By virtue of her credibility as an established gospel music act, the delectable singer is confident she would find a footing on the competitive gospel music scene here in Nigeria.

I am confident to make a mark here in Nigeria. And since this is about the Gospel, it is about soul winning and not necessarily competition.

It’s about God’s work. My music has touched millions of lives around the world. I have heard testimonies of lives being transformed through my songs by the grace of God”, she said.

Rating gospel music artistes in Nigeria, she said; “Great and positive. I think the gospel music artistes are doing their very best and the sector is blooming.”

She added that despite the morally bankrupt lyrics of contemporary music, gospel music artistes are doing their best to sanitize the system with life changing songs.

As a matter of fact, Gospel music brings the message and God does the rest by touching the lives of people.”

Health / Yellow Fever Kills 16, Others Seriously Sick In Ndugele Community Ebonyi State by Opeyemiadura1: 11:10pm On Aug 09, 2019
No fewer than sixteen persons have died of yellow fever while so many others are down with the ailment at Ndugele community in Izzi local government area of Ebonyi State.

Ebonyi State Government through the Permanent Secretary designate, State Ministry of Health, Dr. Chris Achi, disclosed this in an interview with Journalists on Friday in Abakaliki.

The disease broke out around 15th of July 2019 in the community, according to government.

Mr. Achi said laboratory test conducted with the samples collected from the victims showed it was yellow haemoragic fever.

He said the state government had contacted the federal ministry of health and the national centre for disease control who had since sent their teams with necessary drugs and consignments to the state.

He added that the affected persons are being treated in a temporary centre created in the community while some were moved to Iboko general hospital and the virology centre Abakaliki.

He explained that the viral infection is transmitted by a specie of mosquito known as aedes aegypti.

Achi said the state government has swung into action to curtail the spread of the disease, adding that sensitization was already on top gear.

He announced that the government would commence yellow fever vaccination in the entire state any time soon.

His words: "Yes, we have confirmed cases of yellow fever outbreak in Ebonyi state. It started around 15th July 2019. It was a member of one of the communities in Izzi local government area that called me one early morning that there were a lot of deaths in his place and the way the people were dying they seemed to be having the same kind of symptoms.

I called our health workers to know whether there were such case in our facilities but unfortunately, there was none.

I now had to call in members of our state rapid response team to visit that community and see what was happening and when they got there, they discovered it was a case of yellow fever. Because they saw classical symptoms of yellow fever--yellowness of the eye, yellowness of the skin and fever, etc.

Unfortunately, before this report came to us, we have had about sixteen (16) deaths. So, what we now did is that we moved to the community, notified federal ministry of health and national centre for disease control and they have all been in the state for the past two weeks.

They came from Abuja with drugs and other consignments which we moved to the Community first with. So, as it happened, we identified one of the MDGs centres at Ndugele in Izzi local government area where we admitted some of them.

Those of them we couldn't managed there, we took them to general hospital Iboko and some to virology centre.

We took samples to the centre and confirmed there are cases of yellow fever in the state.

The problem is that our people have the belief that yellow fever is not treated in the hospital and that is why some of them started visiting herbal homes and that was how the disease spread.

And thank goodness we were notified early enough and it did not get to town. Had it been it spread to town, it would have been much more difficult to control.

This yellow fever is viral infection transmitted by a special specie of mosquito (aedes aegypti mosquito) and it tranmits once the mosquito bites any infected person. It has incubation period of three to six days.

Once it happened, we sensitized the people on what causes it and that all cases must go to health facility where we mobilized our health workers at Ndugele and virology centre.

The body of a middle aged man has been found hanging in front of a shop in Asaba, the Delta State capital.

The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Friday in the Umuagu area of Asaba, left many residents of the area in shock.

The residents told newsmen that the man, whose identity was unknown, was found hanging on the roof of a store on a road.

Some residents of the area, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said they do not know the man in the neighbourhood.

A resident of the area told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the owner of the shop refused to open for business until the corpse was removed.

When NAN contacted the spokesperson of the Delta Police Command, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, she confirmed the incident, saying the force was already on top of the situation.

The police have received the report of the incident and we are investigating the case to ascertain the cause of death,” she said.

The police image maker also added that the police had since evacuated the corpse of the man to the morgue.

Less than 24 hours after Governor Nyesom Wike placed a N30m ransom on Bobrisky, a notorious cultist in the state, there are indications that he has been captured by soldiers.

Wike had given the hint about Bobrisky’s arrest by a group of gallant soldiers; however, the details of where and how he was apprehended remains sketchy.

The governor had, on Thursday, evening declared the notorious cult leader wanted and had expressed dissatisfaction over the increase of cult activities in the state.

But speaking during a security meeting with leaders of Rumuolumeni community at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Friday, Wike expressed gratitude to the Nigerian Army “for capturing” the suspected cultist.

Wike also promised to redeem his pledge of N30m bounty to the Nigerian Army.

The Army has captured Bobrisky of Gokana. I will pay the bounty that I promised to the Nigerian Army.

Anyone who generates insecurity in Rivers State, I am ready to pay any amount to ensure the arrest of that person,” the governor said.

Wike, however, called on community leaders to supply information to the State Security Council on criminals in their communities for the security agencies to act frontally to reduce crime.

He described Rumuolumeni as one of the flashpoints in the state, where criminals use the waterway as a getaway point, even as he appealed to community leaders to cooperate with the state government to check the activities of cult groups and other crimes in the area.

The governor reiterated the proscription of youth groups in the state, adding that any youth body that plans to operate must first be profiled.

Also, the State Commissioner of Police, Mustapha Dandaura, said almost all communities had been overrun by cultists, maintaining that security agencies cannot watch the situation degenerate.

He commended the governor for donating vehicles to the security agencies to fight crime, assuring him that security agencies will intensify the battle against crime to achieve results.

However, when contacted, the Deputy Director, Public Relations, 6 Division of the Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, Col. Aminu Iliyasu, said he was not aware of Bobrisky’s arrest.

But the State Police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni, confirmed that Bobrisky has been arrested, but added that details of where and how he was arrested were still sketchy.
