Rivers state government-owned universities (RSU & IAUOE) are no longer part of ASUU, therefore they no longer go on strike. You begin and finish your source of study as at when due. Also, you can be closer to your family in PHC.

I know someone who went back to school to study medicine at age 42( He studied chemistry and has a masters degree in industrial chemistry). He is now a medical doctor. He's been a doctor since 2019.

at tht age you are even still younger.

When you get to class you might feel too old and your class Rep and other course mates might not be in agreement with you oftentimes. The much younger ones will like you tho.

There's nothing wrong in going back to school at 40. Shaeed Osupa recently just graduated from the University of Ibadan, and he's way over 40.

However, I would recommend that you study it in a private university (that's if you have the funds for it) cos with the way most federal and state institutions are increasing their fees, it's very easy to predict an ASUU strike in the future.

And law is a 5 year course. Imagine adding one or two years extra to it because of strike, you'll be in your late 40s when you graduate.

I used to lecture 9 years back then in Nigeria, i had part time of 60 yrs cos he needed promotion with it in Fed gov job.

You can do Adult classes or part time, not necessarily full time & it gives u opportunity to live off Campus...

Here are some Private Universities you can study Law in Nigeria:

1. Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti - I've heard some good reports from acquaintances & third parties about their Law Degree.

2. Baze University, Abuja - Well, some report had it few days ago, that they run unapproved Law program.

3. American University of Nigeria, Yola, Adamawa State

4. Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State

5. Benson Idahosa University, Benin, Edo State

6. Lead City University, Ibadan, Oyo State

7. Etc...



NOTE 1: There are many others. So, you can personal research on this to know which will suit you, putting the following into consideration:

— tuition fee;
— cost of living in the state and/or town;
— security;
— recognition of your prospective alma mater in the job market;
— how easy will it be to relocate from Rivers State to your preferred State/Town of study;
— etc...



NOTE 2: This is just my suggestion. You can consider other reasonable suggestions & draw up your conclusion.

Hamas went too far. Every powerful country kept saying that Israel has a right to defend themselves. However, the US has tried to reduce the collateral damage by ensuring that Israel doesn't cut off water supply to Gaza.

I always liken what's happening to civilians in Gaza to what's happening in Nigéria's South East. The separatists get into a fight they cannot win by killing security operatives and the poorly trained security operatives take out their frustrations on innocent citizens.

check the state you live very well, there are areas with at least 20hrs of power supply. try to move to those places and you will cope just fine. where I stay in ph electricity cannot be your problem because the light is almost 247. four days without interruption and if it goes off in less than 20mins it back again. my ac runs almost 247 and I refill every four months.
