A business logo is something you can't do without in a business. Your logo is a representation of everything your business stands for. We all know the logos of these successful brands; Coke, Nokia, Twitter and Facebook. A logo is like your business' store window,it's the first thing people see. It will be on your letter head, signage, website, stationery, adverts and even buses. So you definitely don't want to create an amateurish, unprofessional logo. I am assuming yours is a startup, so you mostly won't be able to pay the professionals' expensive fees to design your logo (You have to cutback on cost). Though I wouldn't advice designing your business logo yourself (Not everyone is artistic), you can. A better option is to hire a freelance professional designer (this is much cheaper). Please don't leave the designing of your logo to friends or family or even the so-called professionals, who claim to know graphic design. Designing a logo is not just about having a knowledge of graphic design,it is also about colour psychology, and branding. So here are 3 proven ways to design your effective, professional business logo. 1. Make use of colour psychology. Different colours are interpreted in different ways by the human brain. For instance, red is the attention-grabbing colour. It also induces hunger. That's why most fast foods use red in their logo. Do your research on colour psychology and think about the colours that would best represent your business. 2. Remember to make your logo functional and easy to remember. You want to choose colours that are easily available, because your logo will be printed on everything from signage to business cards and even trucks. Your logo should be easy to reproduce. A 6-colour logo is not practical.Use no more than 2 or 3 colours. Your business logo should also be scalable and at the same time distinctive. A classic logo always works. Think of a logo that would still be relevant 50 years from now. You honestly don't want to change your logo every other year. 3. Remember to protect your logo. After spending all that time and money creating your fabulous logo, you wouldn't want anyone to steal it,would you? So please make sure you trademark your logo. Protect your logo from the hawks. So when you apply these 3 proven steps in logo design, you are sure to get amazing results. To your success. Cheers! , Ope. Please visit my blog for more, www.opesays. |

@ poster where have you been all my life? I agree with you kpata kpata.most nigerian ladies behave as if the order of their lives was predestined this way- 1)be born 2)school 3)marry 4)die.my question is where do these ladies,in their desperation to get married, leave 1.the fulfillment of destiny 2.their mission and vision in life 3.a sense of purpose? Note-I am 100 percent in support of marriage and i want to get married someday. |
