duntano: Hello . Its the VFS who sends the email that your application has been received . You are the one who is supposed to get the email not your agent. I guess your details is not what he filled them. I mean its his email addy that was supplied not yours. Maybe that's the way for agent route. I got the alert when I submitted.

Agents know jack about in and out of embassy working, yes they may know a gateman and the receptionist who in most cases are local employees of the embassy, that is it.

They don't know who makes the decision on your visa application.

Its naivety, this is what i don't get....some Nigerians with all our degrees and all sorts of certificates still don't know the implications of giving an agent ALL your personal details, i mean All and pay that agent just to fill a form for you. This agent can now do whatever he likes with your details and the consequences will be on you.

Honestly if you can read, write and understand instruction and you still need an agent to fill a form for you then you wasted your time and money going to school.

That will only make sense if you haven't allowed somebody to carry out evil deed on your behalf..

I'm not saying all these to make you feel bad but to warn others who are naive enough to allow agents to ruin their future plans.

Habeeb521: first of all r u a gradute or undergraduate. Do u have a phone or a system do u no wat google does . Times like this it should be ur friend oo . Start from somewhere on NET , schools that offers you course, tuition , compare dem area, school recongnition. Just start somewhere by d time u use at least one or two gigabyte u wiill see wat u r looiking for

millymc: someone told me I was supposed to apply and pay online,after which I would submit the paper docs at vsf.I ended up uploading only the required docs on the portal.only to be told its not the case at the vsf office.in otherwords, I submitted incomplete docs

chux4liv: There are possibilties that the agent forged the transcript and there is also possiblities that he didnt forge it... The last time ((6years) I went to collect my transcript from WAEC to be sent to a school in Finland, I was asked to pay money into the bank, bring the teller to WAEC office.. and Fill a form. I met some other people who came to do for their brother, sister or friends.

My point still remains, you should have done some questioning before ascertaining if the agent forged or not.

justwise: Don't be careless with your application, he can't get transcript from WAEC or schools without your consent, he can't just get it like that....

I still maintain my earlier comment that he forged it and submitted on your behalf.

PlayPays: I disagree, some agents don't even know this job well. If a school's policy requires you pay a fee then who the hell is an agent to tell you not to. Abi the agent papa na VO? Not following the school's requirements properly could lead to Non-bonafide student.

my brother don't pay are din after 100$ application fee,and medical was granted.

School says pay $4k so that ull be issued an unconditional letter of acceptance that ull use for your visa application and ur agent is telling u nt to pay? That wrong information. I believe Majority of peeps here whom their respective schools asked to pay some part of their tuition fees payed including me . Anyway u just need to commit ur app into Gods hand and pray fervently . There is nothing God cannot do. #Believe

masterp204: I was once admitted in selkirk college sometime ago. I think the school requires u to deposit about $4000 before issuing u the unconditional acceptance letter. Pls check the acceptance letter very well.

luvly3: Yup doh u skipped some important docs like sisters proof of funds and birth certs all u need now is prayers. ...Some agents are old fashioned n dnt knw d current trends. ...just believe u ll get it cos ultimately it's d favour of God dats needed...cos some peeps submitted all d needed docs and still get denied ....

When u start feeling doubt abt ur TRV just say to urself " I receive my TRV In Jesus Name" .....say it out loud until you are convinced....

vanrichie4u: 1. Paper route/ online route have same processing time, it only varies based on wat needs to be verified
2. Using ur sister is no hustle
3. Not stating the relationship btwn u and ur sponsor(sister) is 50/50 bro...if u included her birth cert (d Visa Officer wud see that u share dsame parents)
**i read on this same thread an applicant who didnt state the relationship with btwn him & his sponsor and d lucky chap still bagged his TRV

So my advice is Just call on ur God to make things happen in ur favour..sip juice and relax ur mind

luvly3: Don't stress urself, online applications are very slow these days because alot of people choose d online option.....I was in ur shoes some months back ....I submitted tru paper route and came here to find that online was faster was really worried but I got my TRV in a month and 1 week with paper route. ..submitted April 29th approved June 6th......and I noticed the difference between online and paper route was less than 1 week. I believe paper route is faster than online route now cos online route apps are too much....The only disadvantage with paper route is d time it takes to get ur TRV and docs back from Accra which can vary from 4 days to 1 month......

Using your sister as a sponsor is very well accepted....I used my sister as a sponsor as well....just fire prayers and if possible fasting for God's favour.....

God luck on ur app.....might be taking d GIS program at silkirk next fall if I dnt get a masters program admission after my current program...will probably see u at silkirk college.....

degreat11: u are definitely on the right track just chill for another 4 to 5 weeks, some peeps will submit heaven and earth yet their Visa will be denied, while other will submit few and will chop their TRV. student visa application is treated on case by case basis and it also depends largely on the VO.
