Christmas is beautiful, isn’t it? I mean, we get to wrap gifts, sing carols, decorate the house with colorful blinking lights; see Santa, cook the best meals, and share cards with family and friends. Only Christmas brings so much joy to so many people at the same time. The day is almost upon us and as the excitement heats up, we bring you some online services to add more flavor to your Christmas. We’ll start with Tracking Santa NORAD Every Christmas, Santa goes around bringing gifts to well behaved children and thanks to NORAD, children can tell where Santa is or would be. The NORAD (North American Aerospace Command) has successfully tracked Santa since 1955 and children can track Santa online on their website, or email NORAD or call a NORAD operator to ask for Santa’s whereabouts toll-free on 1-877-Hi-NORAD (1-877-446-6723). Don’t forget to remind your kid that Santa only visits when kids are asleep. Online Videos and Cards One of the ways we spread love at Christmas is by sending videos and cards. Some websites have made it incredibly easy to make Christmas themed videos (including funny ones) and cards. If you like elves, you might want to try ElfYourself, where you can make ‘elven’ videos of you and your loved ones or you could try Sincerely Ink Cards app or JIBJAB for some lovely e-cards and videos. Flowers If you are far away from home at this period, you might consider sending flowers to start their Christmas morning especially for your parents or significant other. There is a wide range of beautiful flowers you can choose from online stores like RegalFlowers and Proflowers. Apple Gift Apps Found a great app you would love to share? You can gift it to someone this Christmas. Go to the appstore, locate the app you want to buy, then tap the share button, and finish by tapping the gift button. Next, enter the person’s email, select the date of delivery and enter your apple ID password to make purchase. That’s it, the recipient gets to wake up to the gift of a new app on Christmas day! Online Christmas DJ Want to spice up your Christmas music collection? Spotify and AppleMusic got you. They have loads of Christmas music collection to totally turn-up your Christmas celebration. With a few days to go, the excitement of this season is heating up. Don’t forget to share the love everywhere you go. Afrobasic:yes. you can apply again for redeployment in 3months time and if you follow the tips I posted earlier, you'd mostly likely get it |
bilulu:1. hypertension can be managed from any hospital and so it's not sufficient a reason for relocation. 2. Kano has not been listed as a security risk for Corpers. only the 3 north east states affected by bokoharam are. however, you can get redeployed if you want to. know the right people. Corpers are expected to be corruption free. so don't go and bribe someone to get relocated. help rid your country of corruption. |
lovingT:yes. you do. if you know the right people. |
Tiwaladeboo:Married women can apply for relocation and will be granted as such. but if you are pregnant and not married, they will give you an exeat from camp to go home and later come back to collect your posting letter to your ppa after camp |
Sometimes, it can be heartbreaking to see yourself in one state when you actually desire another state. For whatever reason it may be for you to want to redeploy, you need to do the process right. Redeployment is real. NYSC will redeploy you if you can prove you deserve it. Redeployment is currently done on 3 basis: 1. Health reason 2. Marital 3. Security Security is only restricted to states prone terrorism So to secure a successful redeployment, these tips may help. For those applying for medical reasons, make sure you get a medical report from a government hospital. NYSC won't acknowledge medical reports from private institutions. The reports are usually dated. The older the date on the medical report, the more serious NYSC officials will take it. If the report is dated a few days around when you printed your call up, it may raise suspicion about your motive for redeployment eg. you printed callup 1st may and your medical report is dated 5th May; NYSC officials will just be like, 'Osheeyy, Baddest!!' So use your sense. That's all I will say. As soon as you get to camp, take your medical report to the camp clinic for authentication, then begin your application for redeployment. NYSC will not redeploy you to your home state. Lagos and Abuja are highly contested, so you might not get them but you will get places that are very close. Some people claim to have certain illnesses so that they can be redeployed. Note that these information go into your file for life. And if you don't mind and still want to claim an illness, claim wisely. Know the illness in and out, and be ready to fake it if possible. But I will strongly advise you not to because NYSC officials will know. One of the most common illnesses people claim is Asthma. Asthma is manageable and can be managed from any hospital. Whatever the illness you claim, know that the NYSC officials are going to assume that if the illness did not kill you in 4/5/6 years of school, it won't kill you in one year of NYSC. So they will kuku post you close to a healthy facility instead of redeploy you. For those that still won't follow my advice and still want to claim illnesses, claim an illness that is chronic, requires close monitoring by your doctor and difficult to diagnose instantly eg type 1 dm. For those who have genuine conditions, please take your medications, hospital consultation cards/appointment cards with you to camp. These will further support your case. $ Don't forget NYSC is not foolish. When you were filling your biodata online, most people entered genuine information into the NYSC portal. Infact, there's a column where you are asked if you have any health challenge, some people will answer 'NO', only to later bring a medical report. Lol During screening, NYSC officials will go through your biodata, state of origin, state where you schooled and the state where you want to be redeployed to. All these will be used to determine whether you will be redeployed or not and if you will be redeployed, it will determine where. So when you apply for redeployment, careful not to choose your state of origin, lagos or abuja except you have really strong connect or you can really prove that you need to be in those places or else they may redeploy you to wherever they feel like. Wisely choose less competitive states. For those that want to redeploy on marital basis, ensure you have all your documents including your marriage certificate, change of name newspaper publication, marriage pictures, etc Finally, be patriot, don't pay people for redeployment. say no to corruption. NB: this is a rough draft, kindly forgive all grammatical/typographical and language errors. Just heard, people are printing call up and I needed to drop this info asap. This info is not exhaustive, there are some I can't recall right now and will update when I can. I hope this helps. Good luck. |
#Team Enugu Stream 1....kindly add me |
There are these days.. days when my strength fail me... days when I arrange my successes - things I fought so hard to achieve - before myself and they don't make any atom of sense. Days when the emptiness.. take this humanoid form, and glare at me over my shoulders... days in which getting the juice out fails to form any meaning.. no matter the inducement.. and then any effort at it becomes a labour in vain. Then you wish you had this just one person.. anybody..somebody.. better if it's the person u ever wanted but right there ur standing all by ur self and your successes with not a soul to share memories and moments with. Then you imagine how others did it.. do it. Then you want to regret all the sacrifices you made to get here but no you refuse cos they still seem worth it.. if only there was just this one person! Then u remember that when others were socialising and bonding, you were serving compulsory solitude perfecting what seemed to be the most important then. Now you want to be like others and you have no idea how it is done and again and again, you make effort at being someone's 'the one' but all they see is desperation, lack of wit and a machine.. yes! The machine you have conditioned yourself to be over the years efficient at everything except love These lonely, cold and tiring nights make fun at you and enjoy how a well respected personality outside falls like a pack of cards inside especially at those times when u turn to ur body for gratification. I have pain.. deep.. inner pain.. that I wear this nice smile to cover always or so I thought.. as recently, I have started thinking people see through me and visualise vividly the emptiness that lies inside..hmm the way they look at me. Then I convince myself that they stare at me cos they're seeing this fine person.. that lame excuse does get me through that moment. I look hard and wish I could see the future and see someone and be rest assured that it will happen. Cos I have been like this day after day, week, weeks, month, months, year and years!! And suddenly I realise how nice I have become to people but I wonder why it doesn't work .. probably cos they're seeing a 'nice machine' I feel exhausted, and sometimes wonder why with my accomplishments I don't get someone walk up to me and make me feel needed Ofcourse, i'm macho.. this is where I get to melt like ororo in hot frying pan. Sometimes I try to settle for someone around the corner but that fighter in me refuses to.. prefering to stick to my 'old glory' of getting the best and what I feel I deserve. Maybe I deserve the best.. yes.. but not the best 'the one'.. |
