Its obvious this useless apps are observing our comments/analysis on different platforms. We woke up to an increase in airport fare here in Abuja. From N6100 to N7,200 now N9,600 for kubwa to airport.

Even the apps themselves know the prices are poor. Yet some drivers still think they’re making profits. 😆

Anyways they’re just few nairas to balance the 176% increment. They should continue increasing it.
Lol you are in Abuja too. Noticed it yesterday, to my knowledge only airport rides have increased. I checked yesterday too 9200 from galadimawa. Other areas in abuja didn't change, still hold price.
I have a friend who does just airport trips

Don't just go home and park. You can think a little and restrategize then come out again and try. Transportation is a very basic service that cannot be substituted especially niche/luxury forms like ehailing is today.

See what a fellow driver on this thread posted concerning this fuel issue and how determined he is to overcome his problem :

This thing pearl posted is the reality of most ehailing drivers in Nigeria today. Let us help each other to solve this our problem together.

If you see something you don't understand you can ask for clarification and you should get answers from more knowledgeable people. If you doubt something you see ask for proof so you can focus on the information being disseminated with a clearer head. focus on finding solutions from like minded individuals

Nigeria isn't smiling, we need all the help we can get. If you see someone doing a business and trying to make ends meet but is complaining of how hard its become please don't discourage them. Refer them to a professional in their line of business to receive counsel.
Well said brother. We nor fit hold meeting with these people sef cheesy grin

Pearl sorry to say this your post is pointless... I deh omole estate like this, fuel 10k no reach half tank and that's 20L. The trips out here are not encouragin at all.

From 184 to 488 and you are expecting people not to frown at it. Even NNPC is predicting a lot, the road has been free ever since, people are trying to adjust to reality, houses can't run Gen again, but you went to act as is all is well or we all should act as if all is well. Are you devil's advocate? Just a question... take a look around, nothing is working as it used to be.
Some times I feel people are paid promoters like WTF. Well me don go house sha

Actually, I have discovered this thread is 90% lazy drivers, part-time drivers and people that aren't even in the business.

Arguing with them is a waste of time.
One would ordinary expect serious and genuine questions as to how to achieve success in the business, or just copy what they see. But no, na to sitdon dey press phone they talk "it's not possible", "it's not profitable"
They have been complaining since 19kokoro, period within which serious people have saved and travelled out, some have built houses and big busineses, some have multiplied their fleet and all manner of good reports from ehailing.

Fuel price is just another talking point and excuse for them, devil dey beat drum for their head and them dey dance to the rhythm. Within these 4days someone has made 80k driving with the same price increase, but some people have parked their cars, and are home crying and wailing, some say they are still observing. grin some say it is a rat race undecided some say it is running like a headless chicken lipsrsealed some say it is moving lagos up and down cry
Well, as our faces are different so are our challenges and destiny. Make everybody do wetin dem like with their life. Not stressing myself to proof anything again. But I will still be here for the people that really want to work and succeed in the business, I only pity the people that will be deceived to follow the ones that are secretly working and making it while discouraging others on this platform.
Oga you won't blame them, I'm a part time driver since this fuel increase, the only rides I have done is when I pin my home address and take someone to that area then go home.
I had some fuel this morning and I said I should top it with 4000 fuel. I came out around 7am, can you imagine the trips I did(Four trips) till around some minutes to 9am, my fuel was back to where I met it this morning. Guess how much 4100. Are you playing? I've not paid bolt their commission o. Location is Abuja.

So you won't blame people that are not driving this period, like this in owing bolt, profit of 100 is what i have made.

Unless if you have any better alternatives, its better to still stick to your current job..

Your boss was clever, that's why she commited for your rent.

Is the job wont allowed you to do any side hustle online?
There's no alternative now because I don't have the time to do any other thing, I've not been out my house if I'm not going to work. I don't communicate with the environment because I'm always inside the office, working online. About any side hustle, I hardly have time for my phone. Anytime I'm online chatting with my friends is at night.

I recently passed out from the NYSC scheme. I served in Abuja.

I served in an online office, where I was receiving 30k as salary. The Job is time demanding, 6days a week. From 8am to 6pm everyday, some days it's to 7pm or even after 7. During my service year, some times I had to miss CDs because of work.
Now this is why I am asking this, service year just finished. We had to talk because it's a new term now, she moved the salary to 40k. She said that's for a starter and then I'll resume 7am to 6pm, and I know I'll stay up to 7pm some days.

I really thought the pay was going to be up to 50k for a start, well I'm not bothered about that. I'm concerned about the time. 7am to 6pm/7pm for 6days in a week. Plus the work is draining mental and physical power.

Plus I got a new apartment in Abuja just last month because I want to start a life here. Won't forget to add she helped me with 20k to add to my savings for the apartment which was on a high side.

I already told her I can't start coming 7 but she said to think about it and give her my decision tomorrow.

Thanks.
