Education / Is This Year Admission Process Fair Enough? by orikz(m): 12:37am On Dec 02, 2016 |
Taking a preview on the newly introduced cut-off POINT SYSTEM by jamb on june 2nd, 2016 for admission process(es) into all tertiary institutions. It was stated that "cut-off mark into any tertiary institutions in nigeria for the year 2016/2017 session remains 180" it was also stated that "institutions are to choose students/candidates who must have partakes in the just concluded jamb, scored 180+ and choose the institution as one of his/her choice of institution. Etc.... Do you really thinks those policies works out? Lets take my own issue as an example.. I partake in this year jamb, scored 210 and i choose funaab & lasu as my choice of institution resptively... I did funaab online screening; i'm eligible but no admission given yet up till now. Unfortunately for me, when the 2nd list came out it was not pasted online, it was only pasted in the school admin building... I came to know three days after the screening that my name was among the list which is not advertise online at all. Is that proper?! Same thing happens to some other institutions like that and its about to happen to lasu too.,, my question now is, can this policy work-out for 3years with the way things are?! Cuz before post utme was scrapped, things were going smoothly... They only enforce the new policy in order to make admission process very transparent but reverse is the case instead as of today... Bcuz if to say is post utme, you will know your admission score and departmental cut-off mark will be stated and released. What is your own personal opinion/comment/view on this issue? Are you also affected by the policy? Lets talk 1 Like |

Career / Any Open Space For IT Student In Any Organization? by orikz(m): 1:04am On Oct 23, 2016 |
It has been over a month now, since i've been searching for an industrial placement in any organization but i couldn't find any. Its either am told "no space or we'll get back to you later" (after collecting my letter). I searched for an industrial placement in all industrial areas in lagos, giving them my IT letter but i was told to be contacted later everywhere. I distributed over 30photocopies of my IT letter to different companies in lagos (travelling here and there). I applied to uncountable online applications via email and google forms but non of them has contacted me yet. I need more address of companies accepting IT student/intern and their mode of application including their website for clarification purpose. Thanks! |

that is a bad act and islam has never teaches such self centered outrageous behaviour. MOREOVER, NEVER JUMP TO CONCLUSION JUST LIKE THAT CUZ U AR NT THERE AND WE SHOULDN'T BE TALKING AS IF IT HAPPENS IN OUR PRESENCE. THE PROBLEM IN THIS COUNTRY IS NOT ABOUT RELIGION OR TRIBE. BUT OUR LEVEL OF INTOLERANCE AND OUR ATTITUDE OF SELF CENTERED. if i may ask, can igbo's marry yoruba's or hausa marrying igbo's? the ans z no, cuz we cant tolerate each other. 2ndly, if u becomes d nigeria president wat wil u do 1st? buy new houses, get the hottest technology system and lattest exotic cars for ur wives, childrens, families as whole and friends as well. >u wil firstly upgrade ur social status isn't it? all of the above mentioned things can't be ascertain without looting government money. therefore, u loot wit othe pple which may be of different religion and tribe to u. so dnt be tribalistics and blindly religious. we need peace! lets stand unity! lets live in harmony and nigeria wil surely progress. stop d hatred |
