If you don't use harsh or unspeakable words on them when they make mistakes, then kudos to you and may God bless u abundantly.. Amen!!! pocohantas: Slavery: Slavery is the condition in which one human being is legally owned by another and forced to work without compensation.
My house assistants work conditions;
1) My two house assistants were adults.
2) They signed a formal contract to work for/with me.
3) Work hours are 9am to 5pm, Mon-Fri, and on days where they worked beyond 6pm, they were paid for extra hours. Mostly days we bulk cooked or had a lot of deep cleaning to do.
4) They were entitled to breakfast and lunch.
5) They handled everything but cooking and caregiving. Errands, sweep, mop, market pickup (I have a shopper, they only pickup from her), iron clothes, clean general areas. They never washed or ironed adult clothes.
6) They were paid above minimum wage. 100k/month to be very specific. N40,000 biweekly. N20,000 was kept aside as their pension, payable with its accumulated interest upon resignation.
7) They both lived within walkable distance. Like a 15mins walk, so they didn't incur transportation cost.
What part of this arrangement was slavery? I am open to learning because this seems like a day job to me and legal domestic staffing have existed in different forms under different names. |

Why are u weeping for him my friend? Christianity Etc › Re: What Does The Bible Say About Political Leadership? by oroje1(m): 5:20pm On May 31 |
You try sha,,but the Bible at I Timothy 2:1_2 is simply telling us to pray for the governments for us to find favourable conditions under them to worship our God peacefully and successfully.because if the government is the sort that persecute and opposes Christianity,it would be hard to worship God under such circumstances.so pray for them to allow u serve ur God in peace.....Heb.13:17 is not taking about secular leadership but about "those taking the lead among you" ( the Christian body) after all,the secular leaders are not going to render an account for anyone.it is the Christian leadership that will render an account for Christ's precious sheep....yes Roman 13:1 rightly urge us to be submissive to the superior authorities, yes for all the services they render to humanity, christians of course need to be among the best citizens of any country. The scriptures there say God put them in place in that he has allowed them to be in existence even though he didn't buy the idea of man ruling man. So for his servants to avoid trouble and the much chaos that may come from disobedience to the governments,he simply say, obey them......but apart from these ,true Christians know this: 1 John 5:19 Satan controls the political set up....Luke 4:6 Satan is in full control of the world and it political set up and whoever sits there must be in alignment..... John 17:14-16 the political set up is a part of Satan's world that Jesus and we his followers are no part of.....So if you're praying like Jesus and the apostles did,to be at peace with the government so that you can worship ur God freely, that's ok...but if it's about a prayer for the leaders to change and to do things well, then you can as well pray for Satan to repent, which you and I know it's futile. Ola9ja23: They will come for your head
The bitter people only know how to criticize and curse their leaders 😂🤣😂🤣 |
Christianity Etc › Re: What Does The Bible Say About Political Leadership? by oroje1(m): 4:43pm On May 31 |
Ok...it means,in a century from now,a free thinker like you would be right to conclude that you never existed as a human but a figment of ur generations imagination...that's what it is UncleAyo: All these fake imported religions have destroyed the normal mental processes of a lot of our people.
If you are following any of the two religion, you should know for fact that:
There is no heaven, there is no hell, there is no God (or god), there is no Allah, there are no angels, there are no demons, there are no spirits, there is no life after death, juju don't work, there is no eternal judgment, there is no karma, there was no historical Jesus. All those are figment of human imaginations and tools use by a very few some to control the very many others. The earlier you understand and accept these facts as facts, the happier and merrier your life and existence will be.
The religion you're currently claiming is the religion of your parents, if you were born into a different family of another religion (say Hinduism), that is the exact religion you will practice.
You were born without a religion in you, your factory reset has no religion in it. If you were to be a phone and they do factory reset on you today being a phone, there will not be anything found related to religion in your settings, files and file systems anymore; you learn religion only after your birth growing up.
Islam is idolatry and paganism, Christianity aswell is idolatry - All the world religion is idolatry, including all the Abrahamic religion. Holy communion is idolatory, bowing for a stone call Kaaba of the Bedouin tribes is also idolatory, killing of rams is idolatory, kissing or licking of a stone at mecca is idolatory, throwing of stone at pilgrimage is idolatory too.
Infact, Illah is what the Arabic call God and not Allah. Allah was one of the diety been worshiped before the invention of Islam. That is why muslims will say something like "la ilah ila huwa" meaning Allah is one Illah (God). Have you ask yourself why Prophet Mohammed's father who was an idol worshiper and who lived before the invention of islam has Allah in is name Abdullai== Abdu Allah? It is because Allah has been an idol worshiped by paganists before the Prophet received his revelations.
Nakedly circumambulations of the Kaaba, annual prigrimage to mecca, kissing of black stone, bowing towards the stone (stone worship) are all preislamic pagan practises by the nomadic Bedouin tribe and the same is what they still practice today.
All Abrahamic religion are idolatory, they only package them well and condemn your heritage as evil, whereas, Nigeria was better in terms of morality, honesty and integrity before they brought the foreign religions.
In peace loving, emotional intelligence, love for neighbors, respect for sanctity of life, we are even better than those who brought those religion with primitive leaders and prophets whose morality and characters are highly questionable.
Release yourself today from the shackles of religion. Stop wasting away your life and existence!
If you like, allow one illiterate alfa, imam or pastor to be telling you "you will go to hell". When you die, your dead experience will be like the same experience you had before your conception (pregnancy) ie. There is nothing like afterlife. Or where were you before your mother gave birth to you?

Nature has it that some are fat, thin ,slim ,tall, short and whatever .. there are slim persons that will eat heaven and earth and yet stay slim,so it goes with some persons who're fat too, purnish them with hunger theyll6still be fat..about working out,you personally, how many time u dey do work out in a week? You may have ur argument, but talking down on some people because they prefer chubby ladies, that one no correct...I greet u janeedema: We are a product of what we put into our mouths. Unless there is a degenerative condition that makes one obese. Every obese person arrived there by virtue of indiscipline.
If you take the pain tö work out or engage in eating healthy, it will show in our bodies in a healthy and not fluffy way.
So if I have a relative that is obese, I will encourage them to work out cause they are prone to lots of diseases and I don’t want to lose them.
That these obese people don’t care becuse someone tells them they love them like that at the detriment of their health is why they remain obese.
So don’t play the gaslighting card. |
