An organized protest is a medium of expressing populist opinion about a government decision or running of affairs. A protest always comes from the downtroden. I do enter bus almost everyday inspite of being owner of a private car. In the bus, I hear the common men and women expressing bitterness about the present administration. The question is , is their bitterness heard by the government? If the government leaders do, they pretend not to have heard. A protest of this nature will enjoy media coverage and at this time government will feel uncomfortable and we want to save her face. It is a means to tell the opportuned leaders to buck up. A common man could not have speared head this kind of protest. Thanks to Idibia for volunteering to lead this protest. The common man and women are happy to be led in this type of protest. Irrespective of what Idibia gets to benefits personnally should not be concern to anyone but the concern should be the intent of the protest. Are we saying people are not suffering. Yes, people are suffering. |
I am concerned about the reasoning of young Nigerians who are expected to be vibrant and dynamic. I am very sure majority of Nigerians are not aware Aisha Buhari was reportedly involved in the Halliburton scandal but here comes Fayose doing a good job having to remind Nigerians of Aisha involvement, as such the APC led by Buhari should fight the taunted corruption with fairness and with sense. Fayose has been a constant torns in Buhari's flesh so far, and I am not surprised if EFCC should be going after him. If were Buhari, I would apply caution regarding probing Fayose, because it is crystal clear that EFCC attack on Fayose is a vendenta from PMB. I think Nigerians should see it in this light. Some Nigerians are not fool to know that APC presidential campaign was not without state funds. ..........Nigeria is now a jokers ground....funny. |
Mr Ben Akabueze is an upright man, who hit nails on the head, he had preached against the rich who will keep their drivers and housemaids outside the church while whorshipping in the church. He had run through in ppt the receipts and expense of the church for the sake of transparency and teamwork as though the church is a profit-oriented company. He attended the wedding of a guard who is a church member, he leads the church for sanitasion exercise, he organizes the kingdom summit every october where lectures by the successful business men within and outside Nigeria are delivered. He actually oversees the King's Court, RCCG, VI. I think, in my opinion, all these, coupled with his experience in Lagos state as commissioner must have earned him the office under PMB. |
