Krasid: Tunisia is the team to beat. They are one of the favourites, but they can be beaten by Nigeria.
No doubt and they too can beat Nigeria, we shud av brushed past Congo . . .just me thinking. . . Our First game was well good. . Buh the 2nd game. .a Tunisian side Might av reach the 1oopts again, Due to the lapses I saw, when we broke out lyk a player of ours was 'travelling' he easily gave the ball away when he the congolese caught up with him/them, . .we seemed bigger than them, buh their body balance . . .was quite good. . Our game when we also broke out on d run after they may av missd their opportunity wasnt sharp, what we call 'counter Attack' in Soccer. . .noticed that too anyway. .

Game of b'ball na wa o!, u touch person foul, u sniff am foul, I was a lil bit irritated at the way the Congolese kept fouling ur, it made the game dull and removed that 'edge sitting' experience 4rm the game. . Aminu, Ab, Diogu. .gotta made me happy, though Ab later got 'fouled out', according to the commentator he was the MOM!

Nice game anyway wish us luck. . .buh our homebased shud be remembered o!. , . And they kept saying 'Super Eaglez' i tire o! That D' Tigers brand shud be pushed or they change it to D'Eagles!

Congratulations r in Order dear Everstar. . . .buh How can u be sincerly happy for a victory that was political tweaked, the game was suspended and 12mins played. . For crying out loud a penalirity was given . .and ur happy?. . . Abegi jare. . . Proudly A Promise Keeper!

Got to say dunno rily much abou Basketball buh When Nigeria is on. . . i become a depth lover of the game at the moment. . .our game against the Congolese to me I will say we were slightly better. . . Having to survive on rebounds. . .and what I call nerve wrecking 2pointers. . .the congolese were sending 3pointers like shege. . .

As so called power house in the game, our defence was a lil bit shaky. . We cudnt confidently hit 3pointers. . .infact we dint av the guts. . Frm the 3quarter we dint try at all. . . . The congolese defence seemed a lil bit more tough . . We needed to push in b4 avin any chance of shooting. . . . Besides. . .the congolese dint bother breaking. . Into our defence, just shot frm outside. ... Well over all it was a gud game anyway. . Just that if we meet a tougher team say the Tunisians, or the Camerounians that we are playing wiv next and they can hit 3pointers without bothering to come in, we might have probs. . . . .big ups to we Anyway. . . . .

PROUDLY NIGERIA. . . .

honeric01: Wetin warri 'thugs' do you na?

I don't think its finance that makes teams want to win @ home @ all cost.
Not necessarily Finance in that sense, buh If the league is properly designed, matches aired, atleast it will be dat a wider audience get to view certain matches, which will make the refs to behave. . .if it happens that a ref knows that the league has changed, he will certainly want to get better comments about a match he officiated. . .or dont u think so?

Imagine the pressure the likes Ovrebo, Webb are always in when the whole world watches them, though stil proned to mistakes, they tend to do better. . .just my thoughts anyway. . .

As for Warri Thugs' I need Everstar to agree that they bribed the Nff to get the decision they got when they took 'The Promise Keepers' to court, yet we thumped them. .

And we are yet becoming bitter rivals which makes the league interesting. . .they are on 39pts. . We 35pts. . And the fed cup things . . We just getting to knw each other well and fYI. .we are courting them. .

The Uyo side has said that they will
beat the Seasiders any time they meet
this season Akwa United Technical Director, Charles Bassey has said that the team
is far better than Warri Wolves this
season. The Promise Keepers defeated the
Warri side 1-0 in a rescheduled League
game last Wednesday at the Dan
Anyiam Stadium after the first game
ended abruptly at the Uyo Stadium. Referee Henry Ogunyanmode alleged
fans of the home side assaulted him
and refused to continue play in the
second half. The Organising and Disciplinary
Committee of Nigeria Football
Federation ordered that the remaining
45 minutes should be played before
the Appeals Committee told the two
teams to go to Owerri and replay the game. Bassey told Goal that the victory over
Warri Wolves has shown that Akwa
United is destined for success this
season in spite of the position of the
team on the League Table. “We have a better team than Warri
Wolves. We have also been vindicated
because a lot of people thought we
have a hand in what happened in Uyo. “But we have been able to prove that
we can beat Warri Wolves anywhere in
Nigeria. Akwa United is improving by
the day and apart from Warri Wolves,
we have also beaten Enugu Rangers in
Owerri and Federation Cup defending champions Heartland in Kaduna. “My happiness is that the team is
peaking at the right time and it is good
for us because the Premier League and
Federation Cup has entered crucial
moments. “We are going to continue to do our
best, but for now we have been able
to show everybody that we have a
good team and can also spring
surprises when least expected,”
Bassey summed up. Akwa United and Warri Wolves will
meet in the semi-finals of the
Federation Cup, August 21 in Bauchi.

El Guapo: [color=#0066ff]When People Criticize the League and switch allegiance to Foreign Leagues I dont blame them.

How do u expect me to Support a league that has got no Official Website? A league where match officials are not guaranteed of their Safety?

How do U expect me to Support a League where Businessmen are at the helm of the League's management? Players wages and Sign on fees are paid after 2yrs of Service?

A League where 90% of home games are sure wins. No Stability in the Club's management.

A League where a Player gets to belong to two teams.

You're now Struggling with a name for the League Abi?

yoo. . . .yoo. . .yoo. . .MADRID ARE KILLING IT,
Carlo Ancelotti's men were rarely
threatened as strikes from Kaka,
Ronaldo and the outstanding
Casemiro saw them post an easy
victory against their Italian opponents,
who look to be in for another tough season in Serie A under new boss
Walter Mazzarri. Inter started the brighter and Rodrigo
Palacio was almost clean through on
goal in only the second minute.
Andrea Ranocchia's hopeful clearance
ballooned beyond the Real backline
and was read by the Argentine forward who was only denied the
chance to open the scoring by his
failure to control the high ball as it
came over his shoulder - an alert
Diego Lopez saving his defenders’
blushes as he raced out to collect the loose ball. Real Madrid soon assumed control of
the match and through Kaka and the
impressive Casemiro, los Blancos
began to create a number of
opportunities. Both Morata and Angel Di Maria had
half chances inside the opening 10
minutes. The Spanish Under-21 striker
was inches away from connecting
with a Kaka cross from the right and
the Argentine fluffed his lines when set up by the same player just 12-
yards out. Eventually the Brazilian Kaka took it
upon himself to open the scoring,
although he needed a slight reprieve
himself to do so. Chesting down a cross from fellow
Brazilian Casemiro, the former AC Milan
playmaker saw his first effort blocked
by Samir Handanovic in the Inter goal.
However the giant Slovenian could
only watch as Kaka reacted quickest to the loose ball to send a diving
header into the bottom corner and put
Real Madrid in front. Carlo Ancelotti’s men continued to
press forward and Cristiano Ronaldo
sent a couple of efforts wide of both
posts as he attempted to outfox
Handanovic from range. It was from closer quarters though
that Ronaldo did eventually double Madrid’s lead, latching onto Casemiro’s
smart through-ball and smashing an
effort across an outstretched
Handanovic and into the far corner to
strengthen Real’s grip on the match
just before the break. The signs were just as ominous for the
Nerazzurri at the start of the second
half as their opponents almost started
the second half the way they had
ended the first as Di Maria rattled the
crossbar less than 60 seconds after the restart. Chances began to try up for Ancelotti’s
men and Inter almost found away
back into the game as the unlikely
partnership of Ranocchia and Palacio
linked up once more. This time the
Argentine striker was able to take down the defenders giant clearance,
but his finishing let him down on this
occasion, curling his effort wide of
Lopez’s goal when he really should
have hit the target. Real Madrid did eventually make it
three though as Casemiro claimed the final touch on Di Maria’s deep corner,
although replays suggested the final
touch may have come off of an Inter
defender. by Taboola

breezy047: South Africa have dropped
six players from the squad
invited for the Mandela
Challenge Cup against
Nigeria on Wednesday
August 14, 2013.

Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund said it was not
an easy decision to release the six Orlando Pirates
players called up for the game.
Grumblings
Igesund had initially included six players from Pirates
– Senzo Meyiwa, Andile Jali, Oupa Manyisa, Thandani
Ntshumayelo, Thabo Matlaba and Daine Klate. But he
was forced to alter his decision following some
grumblings in some quarters.
Bafana are scheduled to play African champions
Nigeria at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium next
