3.7 MILLION NAIRA : TIMOTHY PAID BACK THE MONEY THAT WAS MISTAKENLY TRANSFERRED TO HIM

By 11.15PM last Thursday, 3.725 million naira was credited to my account.

I knew instantly that it was a mistake because the sender said it was for trampoline . I neither sale nor buy such product.

Friday morning, I went to the bank to inform them and see how it can be transferred back to the owner. It was to be a complicated process that will involve a lawyer and even a court order due to money laundering and terrorism issues.

I posted it on social media so that I will get more ideas how to handle it and if possible , track down the owner . That helped a lot.

The sender attention was drawn to the post in Niger state where he had been in serious health crisis due to the money transfer gone wrong.

He wanted to transfer the money to his customer named Tony Ofoegbu in the same bank as mine .

He called me on Saturday night and I was convinced that he was the owner. I told him that I will revert the money by Monday morning at the bank.
I insisted that he must give me the number of the man that he wanted to transfer the money to for background checks.

I got the shock of my life when I called him. He turned out to be a distance cousin of my mother . Both of us grew up in Maiduguri. We know each other but have not seen since 1992. He was screaming for joy and I was also happy.

This morning the money had been returned to the owner . I had peace as a river in my heart when the money left my account because I know that it will bring peace to both men.
Mr Tony told me that 2 million that was wrongly paid into another account 6 months ago is yet to be resolved.

As the tinubulation continues and prices of beans and garri together with other food items skyrockets even beyond the belief of Nigerians. I want to know the alternative to these two foods.
