The best is still responsible gun ownership. Nothing scares a criminal like the possibility of leaving an attack on others with two 9mm hole in his yansh.
TravelRe: “Completely Ruined My Mood “ – Lady Shares Encounter With Uber Driver by oscar52: 5:41pm On May 21
Some people are really suffering in Nigeria but not most Uber drivers. People that any small surge in the evening, they will be saying 50k for a mere 10km trip. Most will even cancel trip and ask for payment in cash so they won't have to pay the apps commission. This story is likeky either bogus or the Uber driver is a scammer. The people thst need help are gatemen, road side corn sellers, road side onion sellers etc. Most Uber drivers make over 100k a day. Even after expenses, thats over 1m a month.
FoodRe: Meat Disappears From Nigerian Homes As Cow Prices Soar by oscar52: 8:19pm On May 18
Na same for USA. When i arrived in the mid 90s we used to buy whole big goat for $90 and cow for $200. Now same goat is $1100 and cow is $3000 Thats 1122% increase in livestock cost and the job I was doing then in a restaurabt that was paying $6.25 an hr then only pays $19 an hr now as the restaurant still around (Applebees). an 204% increase in wages. That a 918% gap btw increase in meat price and wages to buy them. The world need more people farming.

Lol go fundme . 10k they wouldn't have seen . You only saying this because this woman died. If she had survived they could have even fought the hospital coz of bill. It's sad the woman died. But private hospitals are for profit .they have workers to pay
Go fund me works when it reaches the right audience. One of the reason it doesn't work well in Nigeria is because of all the scammers which is why I rail on them for the hardship tax they place on their fellow citizens.

I rest my case. With all your preparation, lets see how well you will do when life throws you a curve ball. Know that even when you have money, transfer there can be no network. Anyway I am here to read news not engage stranger online.

How old are you sef? 12? You clearly haven't lived life to know emergency happens. They didnt even have to treat her, just stabilize her and arrange her transport to a general hospital. If your soul is dead to the point you have no mercy for a pregnant woman then too bad for you and a calamity for anyone that call you a life partner/spouse.

You are clearly a slowpoke or not well or maybe both. One of those internet crazies that should be locked up somewhere for his/her own good and for the good of society. Yall find a keyboard and start typing rubbish. I was director of a US hospital for 20 years and the pioneer board member for HEDIS evidence based medicine establishment with CMS so I know what a well run healthcare system looks like. In the US, you will be arrested and prosecuted for turning away a patience in an emergency. Many states like the one I live in dont allow for profit in primary care and hospitals because of situations like this. Because of unethical leeching folks like you that put money over human lives. So go stand in one corner and learn and let people with ideas and compassion on improving things offer input instead of injecting emotional poison into a heart breaking story. Unwell person that this they are well. You better go seek therapy.

The payment goes to pay for the lives of the workers in the hospital. Are their lives of lower priority or something? undecided
Emergency can happen anytime even with best preparation. Maybe she became unconscious at home and he rushed her to the closest clinic. I pray you are never in these situation to see the horror of healthcare in Nigeria. I lost tree sisters to sickle cell and one died because of negligence and asking family members to be doing the work the clinics should be doing even when you have money to pay. The system needs reform. I even support banning for profit primary healthcare facilities. That way the heartless and greedy ones will leave the professional. Medicines is a noble profession, not for rif rafs and chalatans. If the clinic had treated her and did a go fund me, they will recoup 100X what she owned. That $350, even me as a stranger would have paid it on her behalf. Not everyone places money over human life thankfully.

Always plan and prepare ahead in case of eventualities, not when kasala burst will you start pointing fingers, they had a whole 9 months to prepare for the birth, why blame a hospital that is protecting itself money-wise? For them to insist on payment first, that means they must have been scammed by patients who ran away without paying for treatments, so I do not blame them.

Rip.
Raise the bar please. Life is more precious than this.

Understand demand and supply and you will save yourself a few headaches. Also no one wants other peoples rejects, make her feel other women fancy you and you will reassure her that there is nothing serious wrong with you.
PoliticsRe: "Police Lock Up Innocent People At Orile Iganmu Police Station" (Pictures) by oscar52: 6:50pm On Aug 04, 2021
And this is a Federal police force. Some of the problems in Nigeria is not even lack of money but instead a will/intent/laziness issue. It takes a broom, clean water, rubber gloves, rubber boots, and mask to clean that toilet daily and disease in that place will drop to near zero. Its like Nigerians walk around with a fog in their brains to do what is right for even there own good. A fly from that toilet now will perch on the food of the DCP for that station and before you know it he is suffering from typhoid, he carries the same typhoid home and effect his family and before you know it multiple people are battling life threatening diseases. 50 years ago I can let this slide but these days with the internet and these people see how others live elsewhere with cleanliness and still refuse to emulate. Na wa.
CrimeRe: Chidinma Ojukwu: How I Stabbed Michael Usifo Ataga To Death (Video) by oscar52: 4:51am On Jun 25, 2021
This has the influence of bad friends written all over it. Its why yall have to routinely evaluate who you have around you before its too late. Its the same way so many young boys from good homes end up in long prison sentences in foreign countries for Yahoo or drugs. This life is not all about money, in fact some of the best moments have nothing to do with money as all. Move with the right people or go solo.
