What are we celebrating?

independence simply means freedom from outside control or support. It's a time when a country or region gains political freedom from outside control.
Given what has been obtainable in Nigeria since independence, there seems no debating on the fact that, Nigeria was still not ready for independence as at then given that most of the Top Elites who struggled for our freedom where still to a large extent unenlightened, narrow minded and didn't really understood the concept of Governance.

The classical and contemporary understanding of Government emphasize on the existence of Sociopolitical structures and processes that authoritatively determine the allocation of Societal values. They are responsible for solving and managing conflicts between groups within a society by making decisions, which are enforceable without necessarily using force.
The government of democracy is accountable to the people. It has the responsibility to fulfill it's end of the social contract, ensure equality and promote fundamental human rights.

However, going by the current state of the economy, both past and present FG's has woefully failed in the most critical areas which are:
(1) Security of lifes and property
(2) Rule of law
(3) Accountability
(4) Transparency and Corruption
(5) Electoral system etc.

The current administration of General Buhari has been more Civic than Democratic by using dictatorial approach in leading the Masses and Hate speech fine(#5mill) is used to shun the media and other sensible citizens of our dear Country.
Religious affiliations, Ethnic Bigotry and Tribal Marginalization is now a welcomed development practiced by the current administration.
Going further, the house of Assembly and House of Representatives who are supposed to checkmate and bring to justice the irregularities of these Military Juntas are nothing but rubber stamp leaders who's only selfish interest is the enlargement of their already fat pockets.

So I ask again, What are we really celebrating?

Well, we still have Bbnaija for Youths and Religion for the old to be calming our hearts while we keep living as civil slaves in an independent Country.

A quick question for you, why does NASA always feed us computer generated images of the earth, space, planets etc and not the real thing?

Besides how do you think satellites move above the earth back and forth if they aren't moving in orbits?

the continent's of the world are just a quarter of the world, water is three-quater. Water surrounds this continents then an ice wall surrounds the waters. Above, there is a firmament which nothing can penetrate.

Just like Auguste Picarde said, the earth has upturned edges, the upturned edges are now known as the ice walls of Antarctica so thinking of what lies beyond the wall? You cant find out for these reasons:

Ships seems to disappear because they have gone beyond our line of vision. When the ship disappears, use a binoculars and you'll see the ship is still there. This has been proven severally and there are documented videos showing this fact on YouTube.

Not minding how far science has gone to prove that the Earth is round like a ball shape, I so much believe that the Earth is flat and has so many theories to back this up.

Let me summarize the above information about the formation of the moon, according to scientists.

Truth is, when most of my friends(both graduates and undergraduates) so much emphasize on the need to become an entrepreneur and create employment, I only see this type of conversation as talks from an unenlightened/confused fellow.

We need to understand that Skills acquisition and Education are two different parts which leads to same ends(self accomplishment).

Am not saying Skills Acquisition is bad, but why waste so much money and years in the university only to turn back and start learning skills again. Better to choose one from the onset and master any of the choosen career.

No matter how bad the economy might be, those who have gained enough mastery in their field of study will live and not just survive the economy.
