There’s no “approval mail” sent just a refusal one. So if you’re being asked to collect Abi pick up it’s a successful application. Congratulations

I graduated in 2021 and finished nysc March 2023 but I haven't done any formal jobs since I passed out. Can I use a reference letter from my former ppa for visa application? I was advised to get references from people I worked for or ask my former ppa to date the letter to make it look like I still work with them till today. Asking my former ppa for that is very doable but I'm not sure if it's the best option or if ukvi will flag it. Any advice please?

The nature of a student visa is different from a visit visa.
For a student visa, emphasis is on “can you pay your fees and not be a burden for the pendency of your visa?”
The fact that you haven’t held any formal jobs is not a crime. But claiming to be in the employ of Someone when you’re not is misrepresentation that you may not be able to justify if asked to. Do you work without a salary? Do you have payslips or a bank statement to show reciept of salary?

Simply fill the truth of what you have been doing I.e the informal jobs etc

1. airline ticket is NOT part of your maintenance money

2. Your maintenance money is to be used in the UK, the calculation is based on your monthly expenditure in the UK, so when you take out some in Nigeria AFTER submitting your visa application you have misrepresented your true financial condition.

3. UKiv is not aware that you have touched that money after submitting your application.

So you have lied about the total amount avaliable in that bank account.

Material misrepresentation carries 10yrs ban, when you claimed to have the money in your bank account but in reality you have removed the money that is misrepresentation.

The embassy has the right to verify any document you submitted because you signed the disclaimer authorising them to do that.

Every single yr we argue this here and people like you will turn up to encourage fraud with all sorts of false claim.

Material Representation: The UKVI laws (which someone screenshot and posted) asked for 1. A bank statement of 28days. 2. To be submitted within 31 days of the 28 days.

That is the information submitted. Proof that I have XYZ amount on let’s say 28/2/2024. That is what the bank is asked to verify. The veracity or correctness of said statement.

Can the bank pry into my statement afterwards?
Please let me quote verbatim the CBN rules of Customer’s Bill of Rights and Duties ( a quick search on google can direct your footsteps)

Hence the reason for the request for reprints of statements after submission.

A misrepresentation would occur when one falsifies the information he submitted. If peradventure I am issues with a visa or during the pendency of the application I need to use to touch 5k from the money to purchase airtime And then repay for school fee payment, would that be misrepresentation? Do you see how that sounds?

I am well aware that Nigerians look for corners and shortcuts to circumvent the law and it would sound easier to just throw the baby of the facts out with the bath water, but that does not in any way change the facts or the law.
This is not meant as a manual to teach any body unscrupulous practices but simply to correct a misinformation.

If you read my earlier posts, I have said it IT IS SAFER TO LEAVE FUNDS PENDING THE APPLICATION because a visa will be refused if the visa officer is unsatisfied that the funds to support the education is unavailable if a reprint is asked for.
But the declaration that a 10 year ban follows withdrawal of funds is a fallacy and untrue.
Get the distinction so that you may be able to advice people better in the future

For the avoidance of doubt , the embassy may ask for a re print , in which case it is advisable to leave the funds and have it ready to avoid the explanation of why. We have seen this happen on so many occasions.

I did mine with them, the result will be sent to your email same day, Buh the certificate will not be ready same day. You have to go back the next day to collect the certificate.

Hello guys, a friend had US student visa refused in 2018, and in 2023 his wife study application to Canada was refused while he was a dependent in the application.

Now he wanted to apply for study visa in Uk alone, should he still inform the UKVI about the Canada wife’s refusal where he wasn’t the main applicant?

A friend of mine told me that during my school interview, if I'm asked if I have had previous visa refusal, I should say NO; in as much it was not UK. That when he did his, he said no in his visa form, though he had US visa refusal and he got the visa. However, it doesn't really matter according to his agent. That was 2021.
Is it still advisable to do the same pls ?

LadyGuinivere Thanks, reason on her paper given to her was that, she will be engage in work while on visit n also intend to stay more than 2 wks, she has banned of 5yr so d kids visa will waste unless i try to get visa n go with the kids. My concern is her issue not affecting us and also if asked during my interview why travelling without my wife.

I do not think so. Because he that sins will carry his sins. If you are asked during the interview, what else will you say but the truth? They have everything on record. So be honest and don't give anybody reason to join madam wahala to your own.
