KANU left the prison on bail after trying more than three times.that is the first thing that should be at the back of his mind.expressing an opinion to secede while on bail can be said to be left for the courts to decide but when KANU formed a Biafra secret service and a national gaurd, encouraging your members to attack the army, personally encouraging hate against other ethnicities and other Igbo personalities who do not share his views and start making petrol bombs, forceful collection of fees!
this has gone beyond control and KANU is supposed to he on bail!
you judged am yourself!if it was you will you for wait for the army to arrest you a second time!knowing fully well the case is not in your favour at all
as far as this matter is KANU is definitely in hiding from security operatives and his handlers are only trying to him further in the mud
Watch this video and patiently listen to the person filming the shooting by the Army. This was the streamed live as the shootings were going on. this is the last video of this person. He might have been killed too. Listen to how he kept on calling someone Sir, while avoiding to film the person. It's all proof that Kanu was in the compound when the Army attacked his home.

He has been making hate speeches since his days in radio biafra. this was part of the reason why the Nig. govt arrested him. he was released on bail and did not stop. There is no reason for him to run from arrest. What about his parents? Are they on the run too?

I don't see him showing up in court, the game is too heavy against him!
He left prison and became even more vocal. That is why they just needed to finish him off. Why would he appear when he has been killed. You are not hearing from Kanu because he is dead. I only hope they have not also killed his parents with him.

the army did not see KANU himself only the brother that was running mouth until KANU himself gave his narration of the dog and his father!
KANU is not in the custody of the army!
What about his parents? Why have they not been seen also?

after the incident break in,KANU granted an interview.
the interview with channels tv is from KANU himself from his hideout narrating the incident.so the issues that he is with army is ruled out.
That was the first incident. The Army attacked the house twice. the first time they shoot sporadically and left without entering the house. it was after that time that Kanu granted the interview. After that interview, the Army attacked again breaking into his home. If Kanu could give interview after the first attack why cant he give more interview if he is still alive or not being held. This is common sense.

@VIVIANGIST

In other to solidify our togetherness which is currently threatened and to achieve national unity through conscious community engagements, we all have to deliberate and sign up for nation building because tribalism, ethnicity, sectionalism, partisanship, religiosity, federal character and zoning among other sentiments are inflicting unbearable pains and division on the people which further makes patriotism and peaceful co-existence almost unachievable.

For the first time in the history of our country, some concerned Nigerians are prepared to work out the possibility of achieving unity in what is tagged ‘Peace begins with me Rally' on the 30th of September,2017. 10:00 AM, at the Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, Anambra state. This will be followed by an Igbo Vs Arewa novelty football match on the 7th of October.

The Arewa groups and Igbo Peace Movement jointly agreed to embark on a grassroot/town hall meeting hinged on Re-orientation and peace in Nigeria irrespective of tribal, regional, and religious differences.

There is so much strength in our ‘unity-in-diversity’ which we can leverage on to build our nation and only the purposeful convergence of efforts from all ethnic groups can make Nigeria reclaim her rightful place in the comity of peaceful nations.

We stand for Peace!

We stand for Unity!

God bless Nigeria!

PoliticsAttorney General Malami And Justice Kafarati Vulnerable To Genocide Prosecution by Osezua(op): 11:39pm On Sep 25, 2017
Bruce Fein, Contributor Constitutional Scholar. On September 20, 2017, Nigeria’s Attorney General Abubakar Malami and Acting Chief Judge of the Federal High Court Justice Abdul Adanu Kafarati secretly collaborated in issuing a flagrantly illegal order proscribing the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) as a terrorist organization to provide Dictator Muhammadu Buhari a pretext for genocide against innocent civilian Biafrans because of their Christian religion or ethnicity.

But neither judges, nor attorneys general nor lawyers are shielded from prosecution for genocide or crimes against humanity before the International Criminal Tribunal. The principle that judges or prosecutors can be prosecuted for participation in the enforcement of illegal laws or the issuance of illegal orders that further genocidal objectives was established at Nuremburg in The Judges Trial sub. nom. United States of America v. Josef Alstotter, et al.( Military Tribunal III).

Even non-lawyers would recognize that Justice Kafarati order violated fundamental principles of civilized justice.

It was issued without notice to IPOB.

It was issued without offering IPOB an opportunity to respond.

It was issued after a secret meeting between Attorney General Malami and Justice Kafarati.

It was issued by a tribunal which notoriously operates as an arm of the executive branch through bribery or intimidation.

Victims of the barbaric Spanish Inquisition enjoyed more procedural safeguards against injustice and error than IPOB was provided.

The order was issued under the Terrorism Prevention Act of 2011 which defines terrorism, among other things, as an act or speech which “may seriously harm or damage [Nigeria]…” No actual harm or damage need be proven. An excited imagining of the conceivable is sufficient. Moreover, the definition absurdly transforms the exercise of fundamental human rights into terrorism. Under the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights, IPOB commands a right to freedom of opinion and expression and freedom of peaceably assembly and association. Yet Justice Kafarati’s terrorism order was provoked by IPOB’s peaceful protest of Hausa-Fulani persecution of Igbos and association to obtain a Biafran self-determination referendum. That is the same right Great Britain has recognized for Scotland and Canada has recognized for Quebec.

It speaks volumes that no other nation has listed IPOB as a terrorist organization, including the United States and the United Kingdom. And no civilized system of justice condemns free speech and association as terrorism. In the United States, terrorism is generally confined to the use of force and violence to intimidate a civilian population or to coerce government behavior. In addition, the law in the United States provides listed international terrorist organizations with a right of judicial review before impartial tribunals; and, the Secretary of State is saddled with an obligation to periodically review every listing to determine whether they remain appropriate.

Skeptics of the ongoing Hausa-Fulani genocide of Igbos point to the general absence of public reporting on the indiscriminate killings and torture. But journalists or publishers rightfully fear that publicizing the genocide would provoke immediate and lethal retribution by Dictator Buhari and his Hausa-Fulani armed forces. The available photographic and video evidence of the genocide is convincing even without independent reporting.

History is instructive. Nazi Germany did not respect freedom of the press at their extermination camps like Auschwitz or Dachau. Holocaust claims were initially disbelieved because independent reporting was unavailable. The full truth emerged only belatedly after the Third Reich had collapsed and the death camps were occupied by the Allied Forces.

Participants in torturing the law to facilitate or encourage genocide should recognize their vulnerability to criminal prosecution before the International Criminal Tribunal. They should learn from the Nazi example.

PoliticsBuhari Faults Clampdown On Boko Haram Members by Osezua(op): 8:18pm On Sep 25, 2017
Former Head of State and Presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Major General Muhammadu Buhari has faulted the federal government’s clampdown on Boko Haram Islamic insurgents.
He accused the government of killing and destroying their houses while the Niger Delta militants were given special treatment by the government.
Buhari who spoke on Sunday on a Liberty Radio programme, Guest of the Week monitored in Kaduna also admitted that the road to the registration of the All Progressive Congress (APC) was rough, pointing out that the promoters of the party were well prepared for any hitch that may arise.
Buhari who first spoke in Hausa before the English version accused politicians from the Niger Delta region of starting the current in security in the country by recruiting and arming youths of the region in their desperate attempt to retain power as governors.
The former Nigerian leader said that unlike the special treatment given to the Niger Delta militants by the federal government, the Boko Haram members were being killed and their houses demolished by government.
While accusing President Jonathan of failing from the beginning to address the security situation in the country, Buhari said he has never been in support of the state of emergency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa state.
According to Buhari “what is responsible for the security situation in the country is caused by the activities of Niger Delta militants. Every Nigerian that is familiar with what is happening knows this. The Niger Delta militants started it all.
“What happened is that the governors of the Niger Delta region at that time wanted to win their elections. So they recruited the youths and gave them guns and bullets and used them against their opponents to win elections by force.
“After the elections were over, they asked the boys to return the guns; the boys refused to return the guns. Because of that, the allowance that was being given to the youths by the governors during that time was stopped.
“The youths resorted to kidnapping oil workers and were collecting dollars as ransom. Now a boy of 18 to 20 years was getting about 500 dollars in a week, why will he go to school and spend 20 years to study and then come back and get employed by government to be paid N100,000 a month, that is if he is lucky to get employment.
“So kidnapping becomes very rampant in the South -South and the South -East. They kidnapped people and were collecting money.
“How did Boko Haram start? We know that their leader, Mohammed Yusuf started his militant and the police couldn’t control them and the army was invited. He was arrested by soldiers and handed over to the police.
“The appropriate thing to do, according to the law, was for the police to carry out investigations and charge him to court for prosecution, but they killed him, his in-law was killed, they went and demolished their houses.
“Because of that, his supporters resorted to what they are doing today. You see in the case of the Niger Delta militants, the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua sent an aeroplane to bring them, he sat down with them and discussed with them, they were cajoled, and they were given money and granted amnesty.
“They were trained in some skills and were given employment, but the ones in the north were being killed and their houses were being demolished. They are different issues, what brought this? It is injustice”.
While fielding questions in English in the same programme, Buhari said that the promoters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) were aware of the challenges ahead of them in an effort to get the party registered, saying “the road to merger is quite rough.
“The ruling party, with its enormous resources and its capacity for coercion has seen it as a threat and they have said it. Personally, I came to realise since 2007 that Nigerians believe that the only way to stabilise the system of multi-party democracy is for the opposition parties that have representatives right from Councillors to the National Assembly come together to deliver their constituencies democratically. This is the only way you can counter PDP’s enormous physical and material influence in the country”
He expressed optimism that the All Progressive Congress will be registered saying “by nature, I am an optimist. If I were not an optimist, I will not attempt to contest the presidency three times and end up in the Supreme Court three times. I believe we are going to be registered.
“There is a law guiding party registration which states that you must have your headquarters in the nation’s capital that can be identified by INEC and you must have a convention. All the three parties involved have held their conventions and have agreed to forsake our existing parties and go for APC.
“At the national level, we must have those who will run the party. As soon as we meet these criteria and INEC acknowledge that, 30 days after the acknowledgement, we are APC whether INEC write us and give us the registration or not”.
Speaking on the controversy surrounding the election of the Nigeria Governors Forum, Buhari said since the forum was not a legal body, he saw no reason for the controversy saying “the confusion is unfortunate.
“To me, the Governors forum is not constitutional and it is not a party affair because they are supposed to come from all the parties. There is no constitutional law as far as I can see. So, why all these row about it.
“I watched the clip of the election which seems to have been conducted in a free and fair way. But then, Jang came and said he won the election when we saw visibly on the screen how they conducted the election.
“The man who presided over the election declared the result there and then. I was surprised how Jang emerged and said he was the one that won the election and proceeded to open his own secretariat.
“So, if 36 of them can not conduct an election, Nigerians should begin to appreciate what we are in for when they are supposed to be conducting an election for over 140 million people by 2015”.
He however said that he was prepared to support anybody who emerge Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), saying “If APC fail to give me the ticket, I will remain in partisan politics and in the party. Anyone the party pick as its candidate, I will support him because I will remain in the APC”. http://thenationonlineng.net/buhari-faults-clampdown-on-boko-haram-members/
PoliticsLai Mohammed: Proscription Of Boko Haram And Ansaru Violates The Constitution by Osezua(op): 7:06pm On Sep 25, 2017
June 10, 2013

The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) has said that the recent proscription of Boko Haram and Ansaru, desirable as it may be in tackling the terrorist organisations, violates the Constitution.
According to the party, the proscription stifles the press and tampers with the fundamental human rights of Nigerians.

In a statement yesterday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the ACN said the order also makes it easy for an increasingly intolerant government to clamp down on the opposition, which it sees more as an irritant than an indispensable part of democracy.

It urged professional media organisations to challenge the Order in court to save journalists from long jail terms “simply for carrying out their constitutional duties”.

The ACN urged the Federal Government to clarify “the knotty and vague areas” of the open-ended Order, that may end up punishing journalists and infringing on the civil liberties of the citizens more than it will curtail the activities of the sects.

‘’Against the background of insinuations in government circles, let us be clear that we do not condone the activities of these sects that have killed and maimed innocent Nigerians and turned a section of the country into a battle field. Terrorism in all its ramifications is condemnable, and no responsible government will allow any group, no matter its name, grievances or ideology, to carry out terrorist acts unchecked.

‘’But we believe that whatever action government takes – even in an emergency – must pass the Constitutional test, especially since the relevant sections of the Constitution have not been suspended,’’ the party said.

It said the offensive section of the Order is Section 5 (1), which prescribes a term of imprisonment of not less than 20 years ‘’for any person who knowingly, in any manner, directly or indirectly, solicits or renders support for the commission of an act of terrorism or to a terrorist group’’.

The ACN said “support”, as defined by the Order, includes ‘’incitement to commit a terrorist act through the Internet, or any electronic means or through the use of printed materials or through the dissemination of terrorist information.

‘’Is this subsection not in conflict with Chapter II Section 22 of the Nigeria constitution, which says ‘The press, radio, television and other agencies of the mass media, shall AT ALL TIMES BE FREE (emphasis ours) to uphold the fundamental objectives contained in this chapter and uphold the responsibility and accountability of the government to the people?’

‘’By stifling the press, is the Order not abridging a part of the fundamental human rights guaranteed every citizen under Chapter Four of the Nigerian Constitution in Section 39 (1), which states thus: ‘Every person shall be entitled to freedom of expression, including freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart ideas and information without interference?’(emphasis ours).

‘’Can journalists escape being sentenced to 20-year jail terms for publishing statements issued by the sects? Can they freely report on videos periodically posted on YouTube by Boko Haram leader Shekau? Can the media freely report the kind of massacre that took place in Baga in April without being held liable for ‘supporting’ terrorism? Can radio and television stations organise talk shows on terrorism without the discussants being held liable for ‘supporting’ terrorism?

‘’Can the opposition criticise the government’s strategies against the terrorist sects, through its regular intervention, without being perceived as offering support to the sects? Does this Order cover the satellite broadcast channels that can be accessed in many homes across the country? Who determines when this Order has been breached? These are some of the questions that arise under the proscription Order,’’ the party said.

It said the government must take a cue from what obtains in other countries, especially in the US, which are also battling terrorism, adding that the media in those countries have continued to report freely on the activities of the global terrorist organisation Al-Qaeda, despite the horrendous attacks it has carried out in the US and Europe, among others.

‘’In a statement we issued on May 5th, we said inter alia: ‘The Jonathan Administration is steadily descending into despotism with a brazen assault on the freedom of expression and the press, the use of national institutions against perceived enemies and a growing inclination to denigrate opposition leaders.

‘’The Jonathan Administration is anchored on a Transformation Agenda. But the only transformation that we can see is the one from a democratically-elected

President to an Emperor, a despot…If the President is not prevailed upon to change course, Nigeria may be in for another season of anomie, reminiscent of the days of the maximum ruler who took the country to the brink before his sudden demise.’

‘’We hate to say this has turned out to be prescient, in view of the dangerous provisions of the Boko Haram’s and Ansaru’s proscription Order. The Order’s assault on the press freedom and the Constitutionally-guaranteed rights of ordinary Nigerians is unprecedented in the country’s history. We call on the Federal Government to take a second look at this Order, with a view to resolving any conflict it may have with the Constitution,” the ACN said.

In a reaction to the AC N statement, House of Representatives Minority Leader Femi Gbajabiamila said: “You make a controversial butb an interesting and valid point. The order itself is in order but for the word support which is ambiguous n needs interpretation.”. http://newsrescue.com/lai-mohammed-proscription-boko-haram-ansaru-violates-constitution-rescued/
PoliticsKanu: Why FG Can’t Hold Abaribe, Others Responsible -investigation by Osezua(op): 3:02pm On Sep 24, 2017
newtelegraphonline.com Sep 24, 2017 4:45 AM
The move by the Federal Government to hold Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe and others responsible for the disappearance of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), may hit a brickwall as legal opinions outside government circles do not seem to support such a plan.

A source conversant with the matter told our correspondent that the preponderance of legal opinions showed that it was the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. T.Y. Buratai, and the Commanders of Operation Python Dance (2) that should be held responsible for Kanu’s disappearance and not anyone else.

According to our source, the Federal Government and its military would have themselves to blame if Kanu remains incommunicado, by October 17, 2017, the date he is expected to appear in court to answer to the charges pending against him.

“The idea of holding sureties responsible for the disappearance of Nnamdi Kanu is not only ridiculous but laughable. It is true that some personalities signed the bail bond that led to his release from prison.

It is also true that Kanu may have violated some of his bail conditions, but that should have been left to the court to decide and then mete the necessary sanctions on him. “The bail bond was the outcome of a judicial process and therefore, a legal instrument of a court of competent jurisdiction.

It is obvious that the court did not envisage that the Federal Government, a party in the dispute, will, at some point, take the laws into its own hands and act in the manner it has done.

“Why did the Federal Government decide to resort to self help by invading the residence of Kanu with armoured tanks? It is more or less jungle justice to invade the home of an unarmed Nigerian citizen, shooting sporadically at the building and causing unquantifiable collateral damages.

As it is today, neither Kanu’s lawyers nor the sureties have seen Kanu since the military invasion of his home.

“It is only the Federal Government and the military that can tell the world why they prempted the court and decided to take the laws into their on hands. It is because they either wanted to arrest Kanu and detain him ahead of his date in court, or they wanted to kill him using jungle justice. Either way, they cannot eat their cake and have it.

The onus lies on them to produce Kanu when the need arises because they have willfully sidelined the due process of court in their desperation to achieve political goals.

They can’t eat their cake and still have it,” the source said. Although Abaribe could not be reached on his mobile phone for reactions to the development, his Special Assistant on Media Affairs, Mr. Uche Awom, told Sunday Telegraph that his principal and others who stood surety for Kanu did so in good faith and as law abiding citizens of Nigeria.

According to Awom, there was no cause for alarm as the sureties had kept their own side of the bargain before the military threw spanners in the works https://newtelegraphonline.com/2017/09/kanu-fg-cant-hold-abaribe-others-responsible-investigation/
PoliticsOriginal IPOB Wants To Get Independence By Law & International Diplomacy by Osezua(op): 10:41pm On Sep 22, 2017
Original IPOB wants to get independence by law & international diplomacy — Ada Biafra
nigeriannewsdirect.com Sep 18, 2017 8:00 AM

Mrs Eberechukwu Anigbogu, fondly called Ada Biafra is the Director General of Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria. In this Interview with OGINE VICTOR AFAM, she speaks on the state of Biafra agitation, the misconception of the government about the people of Biafra.

What is your reaction to the branding of the IPOB group as a “terrorist group” by the Defence Headquarters.

The truth is that IPOB is not a group, that is where the Federal government has been getting it wrong. I have heard people calling us Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) but that is not it. IPOB is an acronym for Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), so you will now realize that IPOB is not a group but a people, just as we have the Yoruba as Oduduwa and the Hausa as Arewa, so also we have the Igbo as Biafra. You know we fought war with Nigeria and that is Nigeria-Biafra war of 1967-1970. After that war, we had problems because we lost. But the quest that made us fight that war is still what we are reawakening now. So, we are Biafran who are trapped in Nigeria. The fact I must make people to understand is that Biafra existed before Nigeria. Then, we have been leaving as happy people before the advent of the Europeans who merged the northern and the southern protectorates together to coexist as one. But to be candid with you, Sir Lord Lugard made a statement before he died and he said and I quote “the coming together of the Northern and Southern protectorates was like water and oil that cannot mix.” That means they knew we could not coexist forever as a country. Biafrans for a long time has not enjoyed freedom in Nigeria that is simply what we are asking from the Nigeria’s Government to give to us. So, for anyone to say that the Indigenous People of Biafra is a terrorist organisation, shows that they don’t really understand us because we are not an Organisation, but a people.

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State recently branded the call for an independent country of Biafra as a “child’s play”, because you don’t have the support of any notable Igbo personality or governor championing your agitation.

Don’t you think this is sending a wrong signal to the rest of the world that the Ndigbo are not united in their fight for a sovereign state?

Okorocha by every indication is not a Biafran. He may be a Biafran by birth, but by every other things, Okorocha has never acted as a true son of Biafra. You know his mother is a Northerner and he was born and brought up in the North. But he found his way into the political space of our land, that was what gave him the audacity and the impunity to say that the quest of Biafra sovereignty is a child’s play or that Nnamdi Kanu who has been at the fore-front of this agitation is a small boy. That makes him Okorocha a small boy, a very small boy for that matter. So, what he said does not matter to us because we know where the like of Okorocha are coming from and where they are going to. That is why we Biafrans have made up our minds that in 2019, we are going to vote them away from power and from our land.

But the Governors Forum still came out to oppose the activities of Biafra in the region, who then can we now categorise as Biafrans if all your leaders are denying your legitimacy.

The truth is that we’ve never had it right as far as politics is concerned in Biafra land. You see these Governors from Anambra to Abia, Imo, Enugu and Ebonyi are all there in government as a reason of their selection by the Hausa/ Fulani people and not by election, and that is why the Governors represent the interest of the Hausa. They don’t represent the interest of the Ndigbo. Even when they organize election, we don’t see the true outcome because they’ve already done the selection process. So, you find out that these governors are working for the interest of the Northerners.

So, who are then the leaders of the Biafrans, if none of these governors are fighting for Biafra?

We’ve got notable leaders who are fighting for the cause of an independent Biafran.

Who are these people, or can we say they are faceless or afraid to come out for us to know them?

Let me give you a brief history of the Biafran Nation, because so many people believe that Nnamdi Kanu is the leader of IPOB, but that is not true. Nnamdi Kanu happens to be the Director of the Radio Biafra. At the inception of this agitation after the fall of Uwazurike and MASSOB, some Biafran lawyers came together to chart out a way through which they can give the agitation both an international and National recognition. Notable among these lawyers is Barrister Chukwuemeka Esiri. It was this Emeka that mobilized other Biafrans living in London to sue Nigeria to court. For this to be possible, they had to form an Elders council which had the like of Dozie Ikedike, the late Odumegwu Ojukwu, some other Traditional rulers and elders to form the Supreme Council of Elders which is still in existence to date.

This council of elders was what took Nigeria to court and the suit number for this case is FHC/OW/CS/192/2013 and the need to now keep Biafrans abreast of proceedings in the court case was what gave birth to Radio Biafra with Nnamdi Kanu as Director. So, you can see that we are not out to war with Nigerian Government, because if that is the case, we will not take them to court. That’s why I can boldly declare that no Nigerian government can arrest me for anything because our case is still at the Federal High Court Owerri and for the record, the Federal government does not have the right to brand us a terrorist group because the judge in charge of the case, Mrs Binta has said that we are a legal group pending the time the final submission is made by the court of law.

Though the step taken by Nnamdi Kanu which is the preaching of hate speeches was greatly bemoaned by the elders, but because of his youthful vigour, he negated the elders’ call. But I want to tell you that the original IPOB wants to get this independence by the way of the law and International diplomacy and that is the path we are still treading.

Are you telling us now that we have different factions of the IPOB by way of Nnamdi Kanu’s stubbornness?

Yes there is a faction. We have two factions of the IPOB, one is headed by Nnamdi Kanu and another is under the Supreme Council of elders. That of Nnamdi Kanu says they are not ready for court while those of us who are with the Supreme Council of Elders said that we will follow due process even if it is going to take us 100 years to achieve.

What is the original IPOB faction of the supreme Council doing to tame the excessiveness of the Nnamdi Kanu Faction of the IPOB because I feel they are portraying the entire IPOB movement in bad light?

The Supreme Council has done much because as soon as Nnamdi Kanu was released, the elders called for an emergency meeting which everyone of us attended including Nnamdi Kanu. We were seriously cautioned, especially Nnamdi Kanu himself. But Nnamdi Kanu being who he is defiled the warnings. But I believe his doggedness for the actualization of our cause is what has led him to what he is doing now. Even when the Ohanaeze tried calling him to order, he still insisted on doing what he felt was right.

Now, from the Ndigbo perspective, what can you describe as restructuring?

I will answer that question from my own point of view because I have elders and customary leaders. So, If am to define restructuring, I will like to see a Nigeria where an Anambra man or an Enugu man will have to use what is embedded in the town to develop the land. I will want a Nigeria where I will be left to use what is left by my father to develop the land. Nigeria is only a state in the world where we don’t have a federating unit. I want a situation where the east will be competing with west and west with the north, this will help in developing everywhere in the nation.

On Yoruba submission

What Yoruba have submitted is what we are going to submit, because our own is coming up soon, and we are going to declare exactly what the Yoruba declared in Ibadan.

What is your message to Nnamdi Kanu faction of IPOB?

I want them to come back to the elders. They should come back to the authority of the Supreme council of elders. Even if it will take us 100 years to actualize our dream, it will definitely happen someday. Nnamdi Kanu and his followers should calm their nerves and apply caution in going about their agitation.

If Nnamdi Kanu happens to run for 2019 election, what will happen to the Biafra agitation?

It is not the presidency that we are looking for, it’s not our problem. We don’t even want to take part in politics of Nigeria, as we can survive under any condition. That’s why you see Ndigbo everywhere. What we are saying is that we want an enabling ground. We are not interested in presidency, we don’t need it, Nigeria is no more a nation; all we need from Nigeria is a referendum. Ndigbo don’t have hope in Nigeria, but we believe in Biafra. Kanu is like a microphone because if he talks, people listen. He’s an icon and that is why we have our radio station which is legally recognized.

You said IPOB is a faction, if IPOB gets this done, don’t you think there will be internal problem after its actualization.

There won’t be anything like that, because Nnamdi Kanu is like an errand boy; he was sent to go and evangelize to our people to preach the gospel of Biafra. So, after everything, the Supreme Council of Elders will take it up from there. Biafra is the most peaceful in the world, because we love one another. Expect a more unifying people of Biafra, nothing can divide us, they can’t stop us. One million Buhari cannot stop us from actualizing our goal. Our intention is to see that Biafra nation is being governed by a Biafran man; we don’t want war but we just want our country. We want a peaceful departure from Nigeria. We once fought a war and we don’t want to carry gun again, no matter the level of provocation; because we are peaceful nation. That is what we are known for everywhere in the world. We are builders, industrious and a nation builder.

Nigeria’s efforts to close down Radio Biafra
By Isiaka Wakili on 21/09/2017

The Federal Government Wednesday vented its anger against the British Government for allegedly frustrating efforts towards closing down Radio Biafra sited in the United Kingdom.

Information Minister Lai Mohammed, during a news conference held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, said the Nigerian government had, to no avail, taken some diplomatic moves to contain activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Mohammed, however, decried that despite all the damages done by Radio Biafra, the British government was hiding under the right to freedom of expression.

“Who does not know that the IPOB internal radio is located in London? We know the diplomatic moves we have been taking and approaching the UK, all the damages it (Radio Biafra) has done, but they don’t see it that way, for them (the British government), it is about freedom of expression.

“If we’ve a person in Nigeria openly soliciting arms to come and fight the UK, what would you think of? Would you consider that freedom of expression? And this is a country that also has had a history, what did Iraq do to be labeled a terrorist organisation? They were planting bombs, they were fighting the British army.

“I don’t want any diplomatic row, we know for a fact where the funding is coming from and we are going to stop them but it is difficult to stop them and we have been working on it and we will not stop,” he said. (Daily Trust)
PoliticsNnamdi Kanu Suspectedly Killed By Nigerian Soldiers by Osezua(op): 5:52pm On Sep 19, 2017
Nnamdi Kanu who has allegedly gone into hiding has lost touch with his legal representatives thereby arousing suspicions about his well-being.

Nnamdi Kanu
Ifeanyi Ejiofor, lawyer to Nnamdi Kanu has raised an alarm of the possibility that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) might have been killed by soldiers during a military raid on his residence.

Ejiofor made the claim on Tuesday, September 19, in a statement sent to NAIJ.com in reaction to reports alleging that Kanu had fled the country to avoid arrest. The lawyer said such reports were being spread by the authorities to divert the attention from the true state of Kanu’s well-being.

He said: “In view of the rumours being peddled in both electronic and print media that Nnamdi Kanu (my Client) has fled the country, I consider it compelling and obligatory to correct this false rhetoric, in regard to my Client state of being.

“Two consecutive times, the soldiers launched an unprovoked bloody raid on my client's residence, during which onslaught many of his relatives, friends and wards were massacred in their numbers, some arrested and taken to an unknown destination till date.

“I have no doubt whatsoever that stories making round that my Client has fled outside Nigeria, were planted to divert attention from their murderous raid on my client's house. “I made last contact with my client few minutes into the bloody onslaught in his home on the 14th day of September 2017."

The lawyer said he has not heard from Kanu since the raid on the IPOB leader’s home. He said the burden rests on the military to tell the world where his client is.

“The soldiers who are now alleging that he fled outside Nigeria, should be in a position to tell the world if they have smuggled him out into Cameroon.

“The soldiers must have made possible contact with him on this 14th day of September 2017, when they invaded his house on a bloody raid, and by virtue of which position, they should tell the world if he was caught by fire of bullets in the hit of the bloody onslaught or he was arrested alive.

“In all probability, my client may have been killed by the invading soldiers who are now seeking ways to fool the world into believing that he has left the country."

Ejiofor called on the military authorities to stop diverting attention of the public on the IPOB leader’s whereabouts and produce his client. The lawyer also appealed to members of IPOB to remain calm, assuring them that the military onslaught in the southeast was receiving speedy attention from the international community.

“On the face of this ugly development, I still passionately appeal to the members of indigenous people of Biafra and igbos at large to remain calm. Be assured that our outcry on the present carnage going on in the south East is receiving speedy attention from the international community, as clearly manifested in uniform condemnation of the ethnic cleansing in the south East of Nigeria.

"I still advise, most strongly that it is better for the members of indigenous people Of Biafra to stay safe, and gladly await far reaching sanctions, and reprieve, that follow timely intervention of comity of nation,” he said. httpww.247nigerianewsupdate.co/2017/09/nnamdi-kanu-suspectedly-killed-by.html

They have zero reason to kill him. It's crazy to think so. The trial is in a month. The prosecution can easily have him rearrested for breaking bail and death threats to president. They don't want to make martyr out him. His lawyer and brother haven't said hes dead. IPOB press secretary said he's alive in their statement.
This is Nigeria where things are done without thinking. Let's wait and see. He has a date in court. By then the narrative could be that Kanu has absconded.

I am beginning to think that the FG reached some agreement with Nnamdi KANU. The python dance was a cover operation to evacuate KANU and his family.

Nnamdi KANU and his family have been relocated to another country after some deals to create peace.

This is my opinion now.
Kanu is dead. His body has been hidden never to be seen. His family's whereabout not known. they might have been killed too.

Aiteo: We were major players long before Diezani… it’s ridiculous to say we bribed her
Aiteo Group, an oil and gas company, says it did not give Diezani Alison-Madueke, former minister of petroleum resources, property or furniture in England in exchange for contracts from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

According to a statement released by the company, the interaction between Benedict Peters, its executive vice chairman, and the former minister were in line with acceptable corporate practice in Nigeria.

The statement, which was signed by Ndiana-Abasi Matthew, Aiteo’s senior manager, said the furniture purchased by the company was for Peters’ UK apartment and not for the former minister.

“We have become aware of a defamatory publication that alleges without any foundation whatsoever, that our executive vice chairman (EVC), Benedict Peters, bought property in England and luxury furnishings for the former minister of petroleum resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke in return for contracts from the NNPC,” the statement read.

“This furniture was delivered to and placed in that property. The furniture was for his own use and not purchased for Mrs Alison-Madueke; and is entirely consistent with his status, stature and financial compass as well as the value and location of the property for which the furniture was bought.

“We have responded to most of the baseless allegations in previous publications but global best practice demands that we tender this rebuttal for the sake of our shareholders, stakeholders, host communities, the many thousands directly or indirectly deriving their livelihood from the company and the public at large.

“It is well known in the oil, gas and wider energy sectors that the Aiteo Group comprises a number of separate, legal and corporate entities whose asset base includes OML 29 and NCTL upstream, and other substantial assets downstream, developed more than 16 years ago.

“The company became a major player in the oil and gas industry long before Alison-Madueke was appointed as minister for petroleum resources.

“Like every major player in the oil and gas sector, including international oil companies (IOCs), Peters and the Aiteo Group’s interactions with the minister of petroleum resources as with other ministers before her, were in accordance to acceptable corporate practice in Nigeria.

“There is incontrovertible evidence in the form of provenance of funds utilised to acquire the property or properties concerned; legal documents of title and documentary proof of rights of ownership from purchase to date that completely confirm that the material purchases were transacted solely by our EVC and his companies; that he irrefutably owns the material property or properties.

“It is therefore ridiculous, false and highly defamatory to suggest or infer that properties were “bought for Mrs Alison-Madueke”. The matters in Nigeria and United Kingdom remain active and extant.”

According to the statement, there is a related civil case in the United States and Peters has challenged the claims made in the article in court.

“Neither our company nor EVC is a party to the US proceedings. We need hardly remind the publishers that in Nigeria, discussing facts of cases that are pending in court and making prejudicial statements pertaining thereto is a criminal offence,” it further read.

“In summary, all allegations of impropriety contained in the said publication are expressly and categorically denied. Peters has not been charged with any criminal offence in Nigeria or any other jurisdiction with respect to any of the matters stated in the publication

Why would somebody hold Diezani for giving due contracts to Jide Omokore and Kola Aluko? All these stories don't add up. These media trials can only fly among the gullibles. These guys are corrupt. Granted. The media prosecution is absolute nonsense. Let's open the files on the 55 yrs of mediocre dictatorships that entrenched corruption and impunity. Ex dictators are the richest Nigerians and the landlords of hilltop mansions. We want to see trials and convictions. We are sick and tired of Buhari's deceptive tactics of '83 when all dick and harry were arrested on trumped changes and tried and convicted in kangaroo courts. What Buhari did to Pa Ajasin, Prof Ambrose Ali, Honorable Alex Ekwemme, Pa Onabanjo won't be forgotten. As we speak Dasuki is locked up without trial. Only in a BANANA REPUBLIC.

New Evidence: The Real Reason Gaddafi Was Killed

Qaddafi was not killed for humanitarian purposes but for the oil and for money. His ideas of an African gold-backed currency were his major undoing.

The recent Hillary Clinton email leaks have opened a can of worms everywhere including in Africa. Wikileaks released an unclassified U.S. Department of State document emailed to Clinton, dated April 2, 2011. Sidney Blumenthal, the sender of the email confirmed what the world already suspected. Qaddafi was not killed for humanitarian purposes but for the oil and for money. His ideas of an African gold-backed currency were his major undoing.

In April 2011, then President of the World Bank, Robert Bruce Zoellick spoke at a panel discussion about how he hoped the World Bank would have some sort of role in the reconstruction of Libya along with other countries.

“Reconstruction now means (Ivory Coast), it now means Southern Sudan, it means Liberia, it means Sri Lanka, I hope it will mean Libya,” he said.

To the ordinary person, this was the World Bank hoping to come in to help a failing state but to Economist John Perkins, the World Bank was not to be considered as fulfilling its supposed mandate. It was in actual fact a U.S. bank together with its sibling, the IMF. The United States controls about 16% of the World Bank while the second largest member, Japan has a paltry 7%. The United States again has around 17% voting rights in the International Monetary Fund. His point was that these institutions were and still are extensions of the Western foreign policy.

“So, we might ask ourselves: What happens when a “rogue” country threatens to bring the banking system that benefits the corporatocracy to its knees?” he asked later saying the Western empire has a standing army (NATO) to violently protect its position.

Libya was the “rogue” nation but the question is: Just what did Gaddafi have in mind?

According to the IMF, Libya’s Central Bank is 100% state owned and in 2011, it was estimated to have 144 tons of gold in its vaults. Muammar Gaddafi’s plan was to introduce a gold-backed currency which he hoped African and Muslim nations would adopt. He felt it could rival the euro and the dollar, and rightly so too.
Was Gaddafi a dictator? Yes! However, he also had a heart for his country and the world conveniently skips that part every time.
Sidney Blumenthal, in his email to Hillary Clinton confirmed, “Qaddafi's government holds 143 tons of gold, and a similar amount in silver. During late March, 2011 these stocks were moved to SABHA (south west in the direction of the Libyan border with Niger and Chad); taken from the vaults of the Libyan Central Bank in Tripoli.”
He went on to say the gold and silver was valued at $7 billion and was one of the reasons Nicolas Sarkozy embarked on a French attack of Libya.

“Sarkozy's plans are driven by the following issues:
a. A desire to gain a greater share of Libya oil production,
b. Increase French influence in North Africa,
c. Improve his internal political situation in France,
d. Provide the French military with an opportunity to reassert its position in the world,
e. Address the concern of his advisors over Qaddafi's long term plans to supplant France as the dominant power in, Francophone Africa,” wrote Blumenthal.

If Qaddafi had succeeded, the United States of America and Europe would have been forced to buy oil and minerals in the gold backed currency thus tipping the scales. This was a horror the West dared not experience. The situation would have been a more lethal re-enactment of Saddam Hussein’s currency wars when he supported the new Euro currency at the expense of the United States Dollar. At this point, the U.S. was highly insecure about the effects of the new currency to its economy. Hussein’s decision to sell oil in the then new currency was a blow to the U.S. worsened by the proclamation that the dollar was the “currency of the enemy”. Currency wars have therefore been a fact of history with the Hussein situation being a peculiar intra-Western conflict that culminated in the Middle East instability promulgated by U.S. interventionist policies. That Qaddafi would be killed for planning to introduce an African currency to the fray is not surprising but that does not make it acceptable.

The leaked Clinton email has far-reaching implications on the fluid state of post-colonial relations with the West. If anything, it is an eye-opener. Where Africa seeks to build an independent economic structure, the West is seen to try and derail those plans so as to retain its primacy in world affairs.

With regard to the creation of a new currency, Ministry of Peace Founder, Dr James Thring said, “It’s one of those things that you have to plan almost in secret, because as soon as you say you’re going to change over from the dollar to something else, you’re going to be targeted.”

And Qaddafi was targeted. He may not have been the most democratic leader in the world but Libyan citizens had arguably the best way of life in Africa. His plan of action (without the human rights violations) should be a blueprint for African development.

A former British Parliamentarian and Military Officer, Eric Stuart Joyce, has again told Nigerians that it was normal in a democratic setting, to continue hoping that the President is alive, if when he is indeed dead.

Eric, has of recent been dropping hints about the alleged death of Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, which many Nigerians fail to believe.

Recall, that the ex-Lawmaker a few days ago, condoled with Nigeria, and Buhari’s immediate family, over the reported death of the President.

He sent the condolence via his Twitter handle, @EricJoyce.

A day later, the Parliamentarian asked Nigerians to demand the whereabouts of their number one citizen.

Then on Wednesday, via the same platform, @EricJoyce, his twitter handle, the ex-Lawmaker advised Nigerians to keep hoping their President is still alive.

While replying a twitter user @Oshowkolo, who wrote: [email protected] please provide credible evidence that PMB is dead.”

Eric Joyce said: “No. In a democracy, it’s fair to expect to be confident your President is alive.”
