Nigeria’s efforts to close down Radio Biafra

The Federal Government Wednesday vented its anger against the British Government for allegedly frustrating efforts towards closing down Radio Biafra sited in the United Kingdom.

Information Minister Lai Mohammed, during a news conference held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, said the Nigerian government had, to no avail, taken some diplomatic moves to contain activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Mohammed, however, decried that despite all the damages done by Radio Biafra, the British government was hiding under the right to freedom of expression.

“Who does not know that the IPOB internal radio is located in London? We know the diplomatic moves we have been taking and approaching the UK, all the damages it (Radio Biafra) has done, but they don’t see it that way, for them (the British government), it is about freedom of expression.

“If we’ve a person in Nigeria openly soliciting arms to come and fight the UK, what would you think of? Would you consider that freedom of expression? And this is a country that also has had a history, what did Iraq do to be labeled a terrorist organisation? They were planting bombs, they were fighting the British army.

“I don’t want any diplomatic row, we know for a fact where the funding is coming from and we are going to stop them but it is difficult to stop them and we have been working on it and we will not stop,” he said. (Daily Trust)

Because to UK they are not terrorists. Lie Mohammed always crying like a woman. After 2 and half years of APC in government, no single development, the only thing it achieved is propaganda.
This country is a big joke.
God punish apc

UK is a civilized society that their Airforce don't mistakenly drop bombs on its citizens & UK obeys court orders aswel unlike buhari tht has ear infections tht doesn't obey the law of the land.

That simply tells you the difference between UK and Nigeria. The UK knows that IPOB is not a terrorist body so will allow them free speech.

Taking Nnamdi KANU out will not stop the agitation. When a cow retreats, it is only going back to gather more momentum and strike with more rage. That is the case with the Biafra agitation now.

This government has succeeded in alienating a major percentage of the Igbo nation with the way the agitation has been handled. A lot if Igbos who before never supported this agitation are now pushed to the wall.

I really don't know what can save Nigeria now. Nigeria has to find a way of making the Igbos feel like Nigerians again.

lol grin this man again. so its no longer France its now Britain town.

lai Mohammed went too far accusing France and Britain for not only sponsoring ipob but also the financial headquarters of ipob, lai mohamend mouth is so lousy to accuse people and country without concrete evidence, first it was from looters, next it was from opposition party, now it foreign countries. this matter has gone beyond propaganda and politicking to propagate the administration agenda.

i am just waiting for France government through their embassy or whatever to respond to lai mohammend. and if by today no public notice regarding that. i'm going to contact and draw their attention to lia mohamend press release yestarday.

first of all ipob is registered in UK and US as not violence organization. and the united nation and all other countries doesn't seems to agree with the Nigeria government that ipob is a terrorist group. no develop countries can registered a terrorist group and in each of the rallies in Europe and America the governments are aware and ipob took protest permission as police supervise them because they are foreigners.

the France government has only 48hours to reply lai mohamend.

This agitation has gone way beyond Nnamdi KANU. He is not around yet Radio Biafra is blaring with full force same as Facebook and other social media.

This government has not managed the agitation well.

Very simple solution:
1. Federal High Court in Abuja should declare UK a terrorist nation with immediate effect.
2. Send COAS Buratai and Nigerian Air Force to UK for Operation Elizabeth-Dance
