Uzee24:I don't think police certificate is required for Canadian study permit, so to me there is no point stressing yourself in getting one. Like you can see in the trv approval news shared today there was not any mentioning of police cert. I never thought police cert is needed before my application could be approved and yes the approval came even without police cert. I have seen many people here who submitted their applications without police certificate and still got approved. Do you think these Oyinbo people believe our Naija criminal justice system? Even the police officer doling out the certificates does not know if I'm a felon or not because there is little or no record of criminal history in Naija. That's my two cent though. Best, |
chisiudeh:Yes, you can send me a PM. |
Ehimadeking:Sorry for the long wait. I understand how tiring it is waiting for visa decision. I have no idea why the delay as everyone here is just following the trend. Fortunately (relatively), you have scaled some hurdles and now are just waiting for the final leg. It could be they are waiting on background check, especially if you have travel history outside of naija. I know you said you had contacted them with no response, I will suggest sending them another note. I don't see this as being desperate because your application is not following the normal trend we have seen here. By the way, not normal doesn't mean you will be refused. |
Sorry, I forgot to include that. I wrote a one page SOP to explain why I'm interested in the program and what I plan to do after acquiring the education. I was silent on home tie because Mom is dead and siblings are spread all over the world, so I felt I should just lay low on that. Also, the US sponsor wrote a letter of sponsorship that addressed how the expenses will be handled and mentioned the other sponsor in the letter. Nothing was said about any dependents because we assumed with or without dependents we can handle the expenses. |

Ilerioluwa123:How did you get the medical request? Or was your medicals submitted along with your paper application? If the medical was submitted with the paper application and not a request from CIC, then the best option to stay current about your application will be to link your application online. |
@Phocusjos I replied to your PM. |
KlausMike:Thanks for the response. I hope they treat mine ASAP as well. |
Does anyone here know how quickly people at Children Practice forward one's medical results to the CIC? I had my medicals today and was told it will take them up to five days to forward the results. Thanks in advance for your response! |
Prudento:Yes, they sent me an email that there have been updates to my application. Therefore, I checked mycic portal to find the medical request. |
Martswoll:Drop your mobile number or email and I will follow up with you. Best, |
sogima:Oh I see. I'm yet to do my medical. I plan to do it sometime this week. Did you get medical request? |
sogima:Do you have traveling history as well? |
Martswoll:@Martswoll We seem to have similar profile having studied in Europe and purposely came back to apply in Naija. We both applied for our trv a day or two apart. My CIC profile is currently under eligibility review and background check is in progress as well exactly just like yours. However, mine is a little bit different in that I got a medical request last Wednesday. That was my first update after over 2 months that I submitted my application and it came with medical request. I understand how the waiting could be frustrating and if you don't mind we can connect offline. Regards, |
