It is OK to eat at home if you are uncomfortable with tipping. I personally don't like to eat out, so in a year, I may do it like 5 times or less. When I do, however, I like to calculate to make sure I have some money for tips before I do.

I hardly eat out but I have to take my kids out sometimes or if I'm traveling for work.
I was in LA last week, they added 20 percent to the receipt automatically then still leave space for extra tip. I just bust out laughing. After 20 percent, they still asking for extra.

Most of the time, the claim is that customers are only charged for the product the company is offering, that services in giving you such product isn't included in the charge.

It's not a system, it's a way tor employers to not pay their employees what they should have.
Why should I have to help them pay their salaries? Why.
Just charge me what the service or product is what and pay your employees whatever they are worth instead of putting thr burden on me.

After close to 40 years of living in the US, I'm not not comfortable with the idea of tipping.
It gets on my nerves and I tip as little as possible or nothing if I don't get excellent service.
The worst part is they are now asking for tips for even carry out orders, buy things that no one really served you.
Why should I tip just for handing over what I paid for?
