Why all these hubbub?
Are the few days, or weeks or months you have to wait to receive admission letter more than the almost two years you have held on already. We can really do better than this, much ado about nothing, let's focus on what we can control and leave the ones beyond our control to take care of itself.

How did the interview go?

It went well.
Nothing much, just master your SOP very well. It was awesome by his grace. Do have a convincing reason for leaving this country to study and a reason to return after study.
Success!

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: 2016 Firstbank Graduate Trainee Programme by osinachifestus(m): 9:38am On Aug 05, 2017
Good Morning my Prospective Colleagues! Hope you are enjoying your weekend! Firstly, i wish to, in a special way, congratulate all those that are yet to be called for AC, (Isaiah 40:31New King James Version (NKJV): But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.) That was exactly my experience in the last AC.

Firstly I assure you that "YOU MUST BE CALLED FOR AC IF YOU EVER RECEIVED A SUCCESSFUL MAIL! - I need no reliable or unreliable source to tell you that."

Secondly, I am telling you that "THE LATER THE BETTER!" I HAD FAILED MY AC IF GOD HAD NOT DELAYED IT THIS FAR!!! Seriously, I never had an idea of what AC looks like, but from going through other peoples' experience and believing my God who reveals the treasures to His own, I can say that i performed EXCELLENTLY WELL under His grace in the last AC.

These are some of my secretes:
1. I prayed very well
2. I took my time and read other people's experience
3. I got some hints here that I will now share with you:
a. Be yourself, YOU MUST NOT LIE DURING THE COMPETENCY INTERVIEW, DIG DEEPER AND YOU WILL SURELY RECALL A SCENARIO THAT
ANSWERS THE QUESTION. I can recall a question that what fitted best was how i foiled my teachers' plan to extort #10 from each student in
order to 'help' us in our common entrance.
b. That the case study we will discuss in the group will be used for powerpoint and essay; so, I wrote the points for my powerpoint while waiting
for my competency interview. So, i had time to choose my favourite theme (PLEASE, CHOOSE A THEME BEFORE GOING FOR YOUR AC)
and also added an animation.
c. Don't argue during the group discussion, interrupt no one, just raise your hand to indicate that you want to speak. You know what, as i was
supporting everyone and a kinda summarizing every point at certain stages. At a point, i won the attention of my group members such that
everyone faces me while s/he speaks because I was always nodding in support. Also, take note of what is discussed in the group, it will go a long way to help you formulate your own points.

d. Be very conscious of time, if you didn't do so well at a stage don't carry it on to the next stage. THE MOST CHALLENGING STAGE FOR ME
WAS THE LOGICAL REASONING, COULDN'T ANSWER MUCH.

TESTIMONY: I LEFT ABUJA AT ABOUT 1PM ON 28 AFTER A PROGRAM, I PASSED LOKOJA OKENE WHEN THAT FIRE ACCIDENT WAS ON, I REACHED LAGOS ON A TIGHT BUS AT 3 AM, GOT TO MY DESTINATION AROUND 5:30AM. FELT SO SLEEPY AND TIRED; I slept in the AC hall and my brained seemed empty, BUT miraculously, I became very alert and clever again as the exercise kicked off. Can't thank God enough.

I WISH ALL OF US GOODLUCK!!! MEET YOU AT THE TS!!! PRAISE GOD!

hmm.. continue..'i am yet to do' and 'I have done'...wish you success anyway, but please do learn to happily see others succeed, if God has destined you to work in FBN no one's success can hinder yours; but you may be struggling to be the only successful candidate in FBN while God may have destined you for something even greater... Business / Re: Strictly For Those Interested In Mini Importation Business by osinachifestus(m): 9:00am On May 11, 2017
SundryInfo:
I wish to notify Nairalanders (especially those into importation) of the gross disservice I am presently suffering in the hands of UCSHIPPING (UcheLogistics) - a shipping agent that ships from China.

The importation business, especially one that involves 3rd party shipping like theirs, hinges solely on prompt, effective and reliable communication. But this is exactly one of the areas UCShipping have failed in. Their 2 contact persons in China – Lily and Uche - finds it extremely difficult to communicate via chats and even calls.

Usually, I direct my queries to both persons, but Uche would direct me to Lily, and Lily would ignore my messages. The very few times she managed to respond to me, her responses are so vague, with little details and she constantly referred me to their site to get answers for which she can very easily reply me immediately via chats. It was only on occasions that I messaged her on how dissatisfied I was by her communication that she dropped more detailed messages.

I would have thought that they are probably extremely busy over there, hence their indisposition to communicate, but I have other shipping agents I do business with and they communicate well enough.

Now to the crux of the matter.

Lily confirmed my goods arrived their China office on Friday last 2weeks and I immediately directed her to ship that same day using their Normal shipment that takes 7days. As usually, my message went unanswered. It was until I rattled her with an angry voicenote on the Sunday of that weekend that she promised to check on Monday. On Monday she confirmed that it was shipped that Friday she received it.

Today makes it 10days since it was shipped and the last time I communicated with Lily, Uche and their Nigeria rep, Ngozi, they all gave contradictory information regarding the status of my goods.

Lily said Ngozi must have received it along with goods that arrived yesterday. Uche said Ngozi will receive it today. But Ngozi, with whom I have been in constant touch and who seems to have the most reliable information, confirmed that she hasn’t received my goods.

Based on my experience in this importation business, I strongly suspect that my goods are either yet to be shipped or were not shipped as at when they purported it to be shipped, and UCshipping have refused to do the due diligence of checking their stock over there and communicating with their Naija rep here. Besides, na like this person dey take hear story o

I therefore appeal to Nairalanders to prevail on UCShipping to provide the real status of my goods. I apologize for shipping with them and I wont make that mistake again.

I sent you a PM, will like to speak with you. Do contact me @ ifyfestus@gmail.com. Thanks

I am trying to start the petition, please I would most appreciate suggestions for the best and most catchy title for the petition. Below is the guide.

How to write a great title •Keep it short and to the point Example: "Buy organic, free-range eggs for your
restaurants" Not: "Stop the inhumane treatment of chickens in
battery farms that are force-fed..." •Focus on the solution Example: "Raise the minimum wage in Surrey to £15
an hour" Not: "Stop rising income inequality in Manchester" •Communicate urgency Example: "Approve life-saving medication for my
daughter's insurance before it’s too late"

God Bless You!
