jigga123: Why is FMC technology recruitment taking long time. Please do anybody have any information concerning the recruitment. Since September 2016 we applied noting yet or have they recruited finish. I heard FMC has merged with Technip and they are also in the process of acquiring a new yard in Port Harcourt, these might be part of the reasons. Let's just remain hopeful |

BrainboxCJ: Sometime in June. It usually lasts for 6 weeks and then typically gets extended by an additional 4 weeks.
To your second second question, most programmes require a minimum of a 2:2, albeit I've heard of courses one can apply for with a 3rd class. But you should enquire from your prospective department when the application opens to be certain.
Also, you can follow 'Unilag google' and/or 'Unilag admission guide' to get vital email notifications about the application process and make study preparations for the qualifying exams as well. Thank you very...I really appreciate |

PRISTINEMUSCLES: You talk about u sitting in front of a computer all day. Well that is bad for the heart. The body requires that we keep moving and avoid sitting for too long. Research has shown that the exercises one engages in cannot counter the harmful effects of sitting for too long.
How is your diet like? Do you take junks and highly processed foods? Are you foods heavily laden with salt? Do you take fruits and vegetables on a regular? I'm actively involved in exercise plus I don't take heavily ladened salt foods....Just normal regular diet |

iraborosasu: Instead of us to be building more we're repairing. This is what happens when you don't train the youths in the country. Why does every major problem in Nigeria have to be solved by a foreign company or another country for that matter. We're just creating a future we can't handle. Seriously. Great point my brother......it's so unfortunate |

zinachidi: Plans are underway by the Italy-owned international oil company, ENI, to refurbish the Port Harcourt refinery. In a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the oil firm and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in Rome, Italy, yesterday, the company would also build the phase two of the Okpai Power Plant. A statement by the Director, Press, Ministry of Petroleum, Idang Alibi, quoted the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, who is in Rome, as urging international oil Companies (IoCs) to invest in building refineries in Nigeria.
Speaking at a presentation to top executives of ENI in Rome, Italy, Kachikwu enjoined the group to move beyond just the business of crude exploration to firmly supporting the vision of enhancing local production of petroleum products in Nigeria by building refineries in the country. The minister stated that the major plan of the Federal Government is to stop importation of petroleum products in the long term and that it would be expedient that every IoC should invest in building a refinery with a chain of distributions. Kachikwu assured that if IoCs build refineries within a short period of time, investment in the venture could be recouped by direct sales model. He explained that the government desires to upgrade old refineries and build new ones, thus increasing local production capacity with an objective to reduce importation of petroleum products by 60 per cent in 2018, and by 2019 to become a net exporter of petroleum products and value-added petrochemicals.
In continuation of the ongoing investment drive in Italy, Kachikwu would also be meeting the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Economic Development of Italy to formalise the new trend of cooperation between oil majors and Nigeria.
Cc: lalasticlala This is a great news.....I'll love to get the subcontractors on this project. Modified* ftc on this.....this is a good sign |

Health › What Causes High BP by Osinitu(op): 5:04pm On Jan 19, 2017 |
Hello doctors in the house,
Please I recently went to an hospital cause I took ill so I had my BP checked and I was told it was high. I was shocked because I don't stress myself and I feel very fine, I'm not overweight, actively involved in sports I play basketball almost every weekends so I want to know what could be the reason.
Although I told the doctor I haven't been sleeping well at nights for about a year so he prescribed some drugs to calm be down and told me to return after couple of days which I did but it was still high so he said the lack of sleep for a long time has made the BP sustained( whatever that means) he however still prescribed some other drugs for me.
So my doctors what could really be the matter?? Any suggestions
I even went for hiv test because of that, came out negative.....i feel very healthy and fine so why the high bp
Also, a point of note I'm always scared, for no reason at all including when the pressure is being taken, can that be the reason??
Help a brother out.....Thanks |

Guy go for the test and free yourself of uncessary panic......I quite understand 'cos I've been in your shoes, I had some of the symptoms you mentioned I couldn't sleep for long at night plus my blood pressure was on the high side and I'm just 28, so I went to see the doc, gave me sleeping pills and other drugs which I took and was sleeping well. I've finished the meds and I sleep better and longer now, I stumbled on this thread yesterday night and reading through people's comments and I decided to go for an hiv test this morning and I'm negative plus my BP is dropping it's still high but lower than what it used to me, I believe it will normalise with time.....
So my guy man up and go for the test......
All the best |
